@MajestikHawk and i had a palm pre, once the screen is frozen its done. Use an old backup phone or get a new one, sorry to say.

I will do the same soon. I sent the damned pre twice to the palm repair center, but they failed to get the job done. Die Palm Die, even HP and Ruby will not save you, within 2 years noboday will care about webos and palm.
