It is very stable. ITP rims made it wider than normal machine and TRV chassis is longer than single seater machine. It is 6" wider than my brother-in-law Honda Rancher. AC made diesel lower to the ground than the single seater machine to make it also more stable. I just installed 2" lift kit and front axle spacers. This will rise center of gravity but due to the dimensions of the machine I am not worried abut stability. Last winter I was starting and driving it at -20 degrees C without any issue
Due to it's weight. It is not much of a mud machine and get's stuck easily.
I live in Northern Canada and as svergas said -20c the machine starts fine.
You need better than stock tires, and a good 3000lbs winch, as well as an axe , and a shovel as standard equipment for this machine. For regular woods travel.
For the price AC should have built the atv around the engine.
AC made Diesels in 07 and 08. For some reason they stopped making tham for 09 BUT they came back for 2010. Not sure what MRSP is for 2010 model. In Canada last year we had Diesels going dirt cheap.

What about the startability ? Our Canadian winters are not ideal for diesel... Look like an awesome machine though !

The DRV has it's good and bad points.
Due to it's weight. It is not much of a mud machine and get's stuck easily.
