I remember you can catch (Enkei) by getting the pokemon called (Unknown) but getting Unknown E Unknown N etc etc until you spell out Enkei but your unkown must be in order E.N.K.E.I. then walk around in the grass for a bit and Enkei shows up to fight but save before doing this because if you fail to catch him then the Unknown trick wont work again...I think! :P I used to love pokemon XD

I remember too finding Raikou at random. It was recess in school and I was playing around when I stumbled upon it. I literally screamed "WHAT IS THAAT?!" so everyone could hear me and give me weird looks. Noone at my school had ever seen or heard about that pokémon before, but rather than becoming a semi-hero for finding it, all the other kids bullied me because they were jealous. I was 10 or 11 years old back then.

I was lucky enough to find raikou and entei randomly, i used the masterball on raikou and caught suicune quite easily cause it was in crystal. But I still cant catch entei, i've only encountered him like 3 times, used mean look, fast balls but that bitch keeps roaring and runs away-.- I couldnt care less about entei itself but I need it to catch ho-oh so.. i'll just have to be patient..

( broke out Visualboy advance) and it took me at LEAST 5 hours from finding Raikou to catching it. after getting a Jynx and training it to level 45 so it knew mean look and lovely Kiss. a bunch of Carbos helped too. I just used a Masterball for Suicune cuz i happened to come across it twice. But i still can't find Entei. Stupid dog...

tool assisted superplay (TAS) = gameshark hax + editing out where you had to pause the game to add the gameshark codes. :L i thought pokemon was about becomming the best trainer and kicking your rivals ass, not cheating to get legendary dogs that learn complete shit moves on their own without tm's. my miltank can take all 3 dogs at once and be confused and frozen and still kick ass. fuck hacking.

@caribstarz legit or not you can catch the beast's w/o weaking them, their catch rates are moderately high on G/S/C (this was corrected on HG/SS). I luckily caught Raikou on my 14th encounter with an ultra ball no damage done (crystal ver.) I ecountered it more than that, but it was too fast to hit and just kept fuckin roaring. I threw my masterball at Entei, didnt worry about Suicune since it wont roar in crystal and just caught it with an Ultra Ball lol. Point is, its possible just pure luck.

@caribstarz Not saying that, just saying it's not as likely. The balls back then had a stupid catch rate. You CAN still catch them by just throwing an Ultra Ball but since then the special pokeballs like dusk ball's and whatnot are much better then Ultra now when their Criteria are being followed. Like Dusk Balls have a High catch rate at night. Sadly the legendaries catch rate's have been changed to, lowered to a crappy 4% (I think it's 10 for Suicune) so chance's of it happening in HG/SS slim.

@caribstarz Luck still plays a factor too though moreso for Raikou imo, It's speed is high meaning it generally gets roar right away, I always had trouble trying to weaken it since I needed to be faster but needed to not kill it too (this never worked out for me) so I just started spamming Ultra Balls and caught it at full health, once i did that i just said fuck this masterball and tossed at Entei next encounter with it.

Anyway, I remember playing GSC for the first time back in the day, and catching the beasts was a PAIN IN THE ASS. Especially as I didn't have a fast Pokémon with Mean Look, and you can only track them in the Pokédex -after- you've already encountered them at least once, unlike Mesprit IIRC. Also, Mesprit travels somewhat predictably, but these guys seem to teleport all over fucking Johto.

You were able to catch all 3 with Pokeballs at full HP with Entei and Raikou even being caught awake. You caught them each on the 1st attempt I might add.

Meanwhile I have had trouble catching them asleep with Ultra balls at 1HP. I caught Raikou asleep with a Fast Ball with very low HP and I caught Entei on my 10th try with an ultra ball after it woke up having escaped 9 times when it was asleep and at 1HP. I'm still struggling with Suicune.

still play this game today. I first saw entei just after setting him free and almost passed out since i had very very weak pokemon in my party. Beat the entire game before i went hunting again. I caught raikou and working on the other two. this is my trick and it works really well but it takes long.

1) dont use repels at all.

2) follow him using the area feature on the pokedex

3) then walk around in the grass and use mean look. use sleep. fast balls, ultra balls, heavy balls and master ball

Do cats bark? Even a two-year-old knows they don't!

I'm not saying that only dogs are capable of barking, but no cat can bark, and when I say the word "bark", most people think of a dog (if they don't get the wrong meaning and think of a tree. XD).

So... I think Pokemon didn't mess up when they called them "dogs" in the GS manual.

Raikou is clearly based on Smilodon (also known as the saber-tooth tiger), Suicune is based on a wolf or a cheetah (depending on how you look at it), and Entei is based on a lion or possibly the Chinese guardian lions which share qualities of cats.

What you just said doesn't hold water, and any wiki is prone to bias, anyway.  I read things on wikipedia and wikis with a grain of salt. Except for bulbapedia. I use a whole a SHAKER for them, since they aren't backed by the Pokemon Company or Nintendo.
