  • This is the movie I took my wife to on our first date. Been married 29 years.

  • This is Sesame Street compared to what is viewed today and beyond. Perspectives change when you get older and mature if not desensitized to life. I guess you check in but you never check out like the Hotel California song goes.

  • It's funny how the 80's trailers for horror movies are more scarier then the ones from now. I don't think I even wanna watch this what's with the garden.

  • this is so freak'n fun, i saw this movie at the theatre. It was not in 3-d and stays with me, especially the secret garden !!! OMG !:( yikes

  • Timeless rubbish....pg13

  • People check in, but they don't check out.

  • OMG I love this movie...lol

  • It takes all kinds of critters to make farmer vincents fritters.

  • Thumbs up if you saw this on svenghoulie

  • I miss these types of horror films.. nothing scarier than this shit than the new crappy shit we have now.. all the jason and freddys are all action and no scares.. 80s - 90s rule

  • im my opinion, these b-movies are scarier and better than hollywood a-movies.

  • what was covered up and uncovered by the detective in the garden?

  • @VTMCompany people were buried up to their heads

  • 0:50.....Well it's been 31 years and I still don't think people appreciate this LOL

  • rory calhoun was such a handsome actor.

i dont know why he played a bad guy.

  • Sorry. Just scrolled down and got my answer.

  • Ida. Isn't that the same lady who was in 'Porky's'?

  • This is when Spam was a mysterious and flavorful meat-like treat, and not unwelcome computer bugs.

  • Piggsy!!

  • Meat's meat and man's gotta eat!

  • Here's a fun fact the The woman who played Ida in this movie is my grandma!

  • @Jazzymgee That's cool, has she shared any stories about the film? Was she in any other movies? Motel Hell is still a highly revered cult classic horror film.

  • @Pbassman74 yeah actually she played Coach Beulah Balbricker in porkys, guest stared in star trek and popped up in many other minor movie roles

  • @Jazzymgee So she was Miss Balbraker in the Porky's films, too??

  • @kandyboston Indeed she was

  • @Jazzymgee omg are u serious!? O____o

  • @KeshaBritney Yeah man she did a lot of small roles kinda sad, my entire family is into acting especially my aunt.

  • @Jazzymgee WOW ur so lucky to have a family like that! :D

hey small roles are better then nothing :D

i have an aunt and and uncle(he passed last year in March tho :/) that were in 2 films, they played miner roles tho, when i found out i was all like "dayum we have actors in the family XD" i forgot what the filsm were called but they were mexican films so yeah i wouldnt remember the same if its a mexican title XD

  • ...it's funny how all the classical horror movies are scary, but nowadays horror movies are terrifying because the directors and creators use the classical horror elements...

  • I see where SAW got its pig mask from.

  • @notashowoff2000 and where Manhunt's Piggsy was (possibly) based on

  • Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho on steroids.

  • terry (nina axelrod) is so sexy, very attractive :-))) it's worth to see her in this movie

  • I feel that classic movie trailers are better than now, same with the movies themselves.

  • this is a good horror movie. great camp fun.one of my 80's favorites. though its a bit like texas chainsaw. its still good

  • This is one bad ass weird cool cult classic movie!

  • havent seen it in awhile ahehhee

  • 2 dislikes.... 2 people don't like Farmer Vincent's Fritters lol

  • motel hell oooooooooooooooow scary.............im have to wacth it

  • I love this movie. Its campy, entertaining, funny, and has some creepy moments. Overall though the trailer doesn't even match the movie's actual tone, which isn't surprising because obviously they were trying to make it seem scary, when in fact the film isn't frightening at all.

  • Notice how the van had Charles Manson's face painted on the front and a Red flag painted on the side. Hippies are all about idolizing mass murders (especially if they're the type that brainwash others into doing their bidding).

  • @IggyHazard

    thats not cool

  • @msnywoman23 After re-watching it, I realize that it's Ivan's face on the front, not Manson's. He looks like Charles Manson, though. Wonder if that's intentional. Interesting that most hippies were middle-class rather being from the Proletarian abyss.

  • @IggyHazard

im a bit of a hippie and i dont take to kindly to

mass murders. charles manson is a creep!

  • @saphireroze001 That blows my mind! I thought Manson was every hippie's idol!

    (j/k) \8-P

Note: Turns out the face painted on the van is Ivan, the lead singer.

  • @IggyHazard

did you know john ratznburger is in this movie?

    he played the drummer.

  • @saphireroze001 I would never have guessed that!

  • @IggyHazard

it's a shame they killed him in this movie.

  • I remember when we rented this when I was little. I always thought it was weird.

  • lmao...saw this at the drive-in...

  • I've probably seen this movie 100 times and I would still not be able to change the channel if it came on right now. Seriously, it you haven't seen it, se it immediately.

  • Great campy fun and good scares.

  • How dose it end?

  • wat r they pagens?

  • Classic horror movies were the best - not this CG crap nowadays.

  • @macroevolve You know i even love the the way superman flew in the old films as opposed to the new one where it look like they pasted the new superman to a backround.the old one looked alot more real.

  • Those people in the ground with sacks over their heads creeped the f'n hell outta me, when I seen this in, I think 81 - 82

  • Wow. Beula Ballbreaker from "Porky's + The Father/Ranch owner from the movie "Pure Country" starring George Strait

  • My Mom and Dad are Vincent & Ida! lol

  • This is one of those good saturday night b-movies thats just so bad that its good, i love this movie.

  • Great trailer for great "drive-in" style of movie. (Watch closely and you'll see "Cliff Claven" John Ratzenberg in the back of the pick-up truck at 0:33)

  • Call me cynical but that's either the scariest film ever or the stupidest. Although the music did make me poo my pants.

  • A friend recommended it hopefully its fun, about to watch it.

  • It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent's Fritters!

  • Morgan Freeman rejected the offer to be narrator.=]

  • great film, there will be a part II . watch it for fr33 at Free Movie Zone . n e t

  • I remember this movie, when I seen it as a kid!

  • ms ballbreaker from porkys is in this movie

  • @hairypussy1981 LMAO

  • why does the voice of the preview narrators change over the decades? anyone ever wonder that? You can just tell this is an old preview by listening to the voice of the narrator.

  • That fat woman played the gym coach in Porky's. I hear she has a hairy pussy, just like me.

  • I had this movie on VHS but threw it in the garbage because I didn't want it.

  • this was when trailers was this long...lol now there like maybe 1 min

  • This movie traumatized me as a 4 yr. old.

  • @jill9700 me too man. i watched this & evil dead all the time as a kid. this may explain some things... loved these movies.

  • I love this movie. Classic.

  • They just don't make movies like this anymore. Nothing but special effects and fag actors in hollywood now.

  • @xxxIronLeexxx I agree, CGI in horror sucks major donkey balls. Make up and special effects is what made these horror movies awesome classics.

  • @godzilla1077 I agree as well. You are correct.

  • Ida is just soooo sexy the way she man-handles...

  • I watched this once. Maybe I missed the bit explaining why they had to bury the people in the ground alive, but it was a bit inexplicable. Could someone explain why they were buried?

  • One of the most underated horror flicks ever. The pig head is one of the creepiest things to grace motion pictures.

  • what were that moving bags anyway some1 know?

  • i want to see this movie very bad. they're doing a remake

  • I love these twisted fucked up movies. They're realistic and completely terrifying.

  • i saw that movie today

  • I have it DVR'd so I am going to watch it soon.

  • I remember watching this on Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs! I miss that show.

  • This movie is airing on IFC right now.

  • This was a freakin' freaky movie. Especially the final scene

  • I was like 8 when I first saw this I think... O_O I was so creeped out. Still am... l:

  • It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincents' fritters!

  • Nooo not the motels!!!

  • oh man, even the trailer scared me O.O

and it takes a LOT to scare me

  • Watched it when I was child, it really made me sick for a few days and didn't wanna go to school, it fucked up my mind ...

  • This film gave a whole new meaing to "The other white meat."

  • There is a restaurant in Chattanooga TN that looks exactly like that motel. Not on purpose...YIPE! YIPE! YIPE!...LOL.

  • I don't see why everyone says it's funny, cause it aint! It's thoroughly disturbing and sick! And the narrator's voice still gives me nightmares and adds to the effect!!! I really hate the dark now!!!

  • Fucking. Classic.

  • loved this movie

    mmm beef jerky.

  • wasnt that wolfman jack @ 1:31

  • @outlawwolf621 It is indeed the Wolfman as a preacher...

  • Um, are people taking this seriously?

It's obviously a joke, hence the tongue-in-cheek humor.

Some of you guys wouldn't know horror if it bit you in the balls. Lol.

  • Jeez! That narrarator's creepy!

  • DIdnt they died at the end?

  • a pig? fail

  • This one would have been a lot better had they held back on the tongue-in-cheek humor. It had the makings of a truly horrific film.

  • Masterpeice? More like master-peice-of-shit. Were we even watching the same movie?

  • I liked it!

  • CLASSIC

  • Hilarious!

  • amazing horror!!

  • It's the gym teacher from Porky's!!!

  • Underrated Camp Masterpiece! One of my favorites along with Deranged and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

  • I agree with all that.

  • @TheAltair4

How old were you when you saw this? i was 11 when i rented it.

  • @Johnlindsey289 This is one of the earliest horror films i ever remember seeing actually. They showed this practically non stop on HBO when i was around 2 and that's when i remember first seeing it. Looking back on it i can't believe my parents actually let me watch it at so young an age. It didn't scare me though. I thought it was cool and my parents bought me my very first issue of Fangoria magazine when i was 3 and it had Farmer Vincent on the cover. lol

  • that is manhunt piggsys father!!!!!!

  • best horror movie ever

  • I have always wanted to see this movie. It's coming on IFC in a few days. Great trailer!

  • Motel Hell---a TRUE MASTERPIECE!!!

  • Truly a horror classic. Not just a creepy movie; but a source of laughs too.

"You do the watchin'; they'll do the laughin'."

  • I saw this in Times Sq when it was first released, if i remember the ad for the film said "You might Just Die Laughing". I picked this to watch over "Raging Bull"

  • I heard they're remaking this.

  • Which is sort of cool, but it seems like movie studios can't come up with there own ideas. Kind of sad.

  • They already did, well Idk if it's a remake or not but it's pretty much the same story, same plot everything..

  • yep and it is going to be "modernized" for today's teenagers with CW actors.

  • If they remake this...then they better do a better job and not fuck it up. Like they did Friaday the 13th, and Halloween. And now Nightmare on Elm Street is coming out. I hope it's good.

  • I got that movie for less than 5 bucks on amazon

  • good trailer, looks creepy!

  • daaaaaaamn i use to love watching this as a kid along with old kung fu flicks and blaxploitation movies every saturday morining right before soultrain came on. fuck, i missed being a kid in the mid and late eighties eating capt crunch digging in boxes for prizes!!!! they don't make movies like this any more
