dont jailbreak ur iphone i did it once it got old pretty quickly and safari will crash many many times, and if ur not careful ur summerboard qill crash frequently also

Yeah, I jailbroke my iPhone the other day, and the next day, when I went to activate a new plan, it froze up when I had to shut it off and turn it on. And the worst part was that it froze when the pineapple was on the screen, not the apple, so my mom found out and got mad at me for jailbreaking it. I also kinda felt guilty when I finally jailbroke it.

thanks allot for you help dude, and i completely understand how strict some companies are. the only thing i don't understand is why and what do you mean when you say to make sure i sinq my phone to itunes first. the last thing i need to ask is where does it allow me to register my iphone as a developer phone. is their a difference between a normal iphone and a developer one. does all the apps still work like the phone, sms etc.

When I say sync your phone first ... I just mean make sure you back up all your contacts / etc. before you do the install.

As for how a developer phone is different from a normal phone ... not really sure. It's just how Apple sees the phone.

If you try to sync a regular iPhone that has 3.0 to itunes ... it will not recognize it. It needs to be registered as a developer's phone.

No, I don't think you can send attachments with this update. I may be wrong, but I haven't found the option to attach a file.

Hey! Thanks for that great video! Definitely the best 3.0 C&P video on youtube.

When you first double tapped on the text it opened the CUT COPY PASTE and when you double tapped in an empty space it opened SELECT SELECT ALL PASTE.

But then you double tapped on the text again and it opened the SELECT SELECT ALL PASTE instead of CUT COPT PASTE. That does not make sense to me.

Why did it open the CUT COPT PASTE the first time and the SELECT SELECT ALL PASTE the second time?

I think what it does is when you double tap on an empty space it gives you the option to select all or paste;)

Whenever I tapped into the text (@ 2:44), I didn't double tap ... I only tapped once.

hey, i also baught the developer SDK and even after i read your blog about how to install the OS 3.0 BETA, i am still having some trouble. do you think you can make a short video explaining the process and what do you mean when u say "register as a new phone". my last and final question is the following: is the 3.0 beta version really buggy and has lots of glitches, or is it good enought to play games on my iphone and make calls>

I would do a video, but I don't want to go against any of Apple's NDAs.

They are VERY strict with their new 3.0 stuff ... so, just to be safe... I will not be doing a video.

What I mean by registering it as a new phone. When you sync to itunes after the install ... it will ask "restore from old" or "register as new phone" ... pick the second option.

Just make sure you sync your phone before you update the software.

if you want to downgrade, go into dfu mode, restore to a lower fw, it will give an error

Yeah ... your phone needs to be registered as a 'developer phone' before you activate it.
