  • Are you Robert Quime?

  • I think I started noticing this trend oh.. 10 years ago? Give or take a year or so, I suppose. Back in high school I noticed that there were fewer and fewer kids coming around every year, until it got to the point that my own family just sorta stopped caring about it. We might put up one or two little things, but nothing like we used to. I miss those old days of decorating... it's true, we're really becoming anal about "keeping kids safe" that we're missing the real problems facing them.

  • YOUR THE HACKER!!!!! THE ONE WHO SAID NOT TO SUB TygerWDR!!!

  • Exactly.Hes a faker

  • i miss when people can go to there neighbors and take there candy... fucking churches scaring everyone

  • Atheism's a lot more mainstream now than.. say, the 50's. What do you mean?

  • i mean the churches are scarin everyone saying people are poisening the candy. there not. i didnt say enything about athiests.

  • Ah, I see.

  • CANDY!

    Lol, great vid T

  • EPIC ENDING!

  • that was pretty epic i gotta admit

  • we only got like 10-20 kids

  • imagine that, we didn't have any trick or treaters this year. We even had our lights on and about 10 or 15 torches lighting the way... this is just sad

  • you know you are right its stupid people cant even trust the person next door hell alot of people dont know who lives 5 houses down thats part of the problem

  • I didn't get a single trick or treater where I live :s

  • As a kid in high school, I really support these parents taking their kids to the safe halloween. The streets are filled with drunk kids pulling up street signs and drawing penises with shaving cream, and the kids seem to have a great time at the safe halloweens.

  • thers no way in hell your a kid in high school you sound like youve never had any fun thats part of highschool cuasing trouble doing little things for fun drinking and the streets arent full of drunk kids if they are its the parents fault for not giving them an countrolled area drink in or leting them kno they need to drink in a controlled area

  • In my town that's how the streets look like halloween night; I was there...And yeah, I do have fun, but I don't think kids should be exposed to it which is why there's safe halloweens

  • Trunk or treat...it killed the fun, it really did.

It's all these scares of rapists and molestations and crap that are causing people to be 'safe' on Halloween. Hell, you don't even see any pranks anymore thanks to it.

Me and a buddy went around and Herbert and Chris Griffen in a HUGE neighborhood with tons of kids living there. We saw maybe 20 people out, and possibly 15 houses were giving stuff out.

  • Here here brother.

  • here here! thank you for that....

    keep the tradition alive!

    Happy halloween.

  • Tons of kids around my area still go out for Halloween. Most of the houses in my neighborhood are decorated actually!

I guess it depends on where you live.

  • FUNNY STUFF !!! you were right, not a "screamer"..i just watched one of those...search "zen zombie" it's obvious but still it's HILARIOUS ! you'll like it. Happy Halloween Tyger!!!

  • Halloween... the one day when it's okay for kids to take cady from strangers!!! xD

  • LOL!!! Habit forming!!! HA! HA! HA! That is SO funny!!!

  • I really wish these parents would just trust their kids. Most kids would know all of the tricks used to kidnap people like the back of your hand due to parents and schools. I wish there was a way to show that all this caution is unnecessary

R.I.P Halloween. it really sucks that the culture is gone. and by the way keep circulating the tapes of the world

  • not only with halloween but i dont even see kids play outside anymore! when i was younger id go out and play in the neighborhood ride bikes or w/e now.....i never see kids outside, last year hardly anyone came for halloween :(

  • Hey Tyger!

We have the same problem in our area with the kids not showing up. Last year we had several of the inflatable decorations in our yard and had a few dozen tiki torches lighting the way to our front door. Do you know how many Trick 'r Treaters we had? Zero. It makes me sad, my Sister and I use to have so much fun looking for a house like mine when we were kids. The people that gave out full size candy bars were the holy grail of halloween. I want to be the cool house on the block!

  • Yeah I used to ike halloween, but not many childs even do it anymore... And that "safe halloween" thing is bullshit. They give them "healthy snaks", WTF! That's ruining halloween spirit.

And people are scared over high unprobable things. And if you're afraid for your kid, just go arround with him =.= Halloween definitely isn't what it were.

  • hi Tyger!

yes, you Americans ruin everything with too much safety rules...

look what you did to Rodeo, now you have Hockey players, in a bullet-proof vests, riding bulls...

    what happened to cowboys?

  • Brother Borg!

You are correct that we are over zealous with our safety rules at times. Have you seen the warning labels on our fast food beverages? WARNING:CONTENTS MAY BE VERY HOT! DON"T SPILL IN YOUR LAP AND TRY TO SUE US. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. LOL

  • exactily borg very well put

  • Got booted out when people decided no one can think or decide for themselves. Got booted out with all the lawsuit bull crap. Got booted out when people didn't want to take responsibility for their own actions and instead wanted to be responsible for everyone else

  • ... It is a national holiday. In Sweden, at least :D

  • lol, luckily my neighborhood hasn't changed at all. im 15, adn moved here when i was 6 and halloween hasn't changed one bit.

  • Agreed, im trick or treating in a ACTUAL neighbourhood with ACTUAL houses

    lee gasp!

    and to get ACTUAL candy

  • i love halloween i have a mask i wear every year while i give out candy and scare the crap out of kids but yeah ive noticed no one is going out anymore. i gave up at 9 p.m a few years back and let a little girl have a shit load of candy. it sucks. and i for one did all kinds of crazy shit at school functions come ot think of i did everything imaginable.

  • really? Safe Halloween? That's ridiculous. Where I live, the kids are more dangerous than the creepy guys lurking around trees in the "hoods". My 11 year old sister (6th grade) has friends from 3rd-6th that smoke pot, deal drugs, and cuss like crazy. I've even had elementary school kids come up to me when i get off the bus (I'm in high school) and ask if I want cocaine. COCAINE. But even still, "safe Halloween" or restricted hours or parents going with you is stupid in most neighborhoods

  • i just dont answer the door to trick or treaters anymore, i did it for a little while but the kids are ungratefull, you can put a bowl out or even keep ahold of it and on kid will empty it themself and then expect more or if you give out cash its never enough.

  • Happy Halloween!

  • That was mountain dew wasn't it!? :P I agree with everything you said, I hope I can still have a good time at least going to some parties. Yes, I'll dress up too. Not dressing up kills it foreveryone

  • Its the nanny culture that has been developing over the years. If their is even a hint of things being even the slightest bit unsafe then they want us to stay away from it. Hense why the politicians dont like paintball very much.

  • i live in the uk and halloween isnt as big over here but theres alot of halloween partys and the tv program specials about halloween but there last year there were no trick or treaters knocked on my door last year

  • same thing happens round me but i like more candy for me :D

  • Sounds to me as if you're describing a change in (U.S.) society that is driven more by the fear of something untangible than a realistic assessment of the real danger or risk involved. I don't live in the U.S., but over the years I've been coming there (stayed with U.S. friends) I have seen this change. People seem more afraid now than they were a decade ago. Not just of crime or terrorism, but of all kinds of things. I get the impression that this "safe halloween" stuff is an extension of that.

  • I totally share the sentiment! And I -am- a parent. I loved going out for halloween when I was older with the younger cousins, and I thought I'd get to share the holiday festivities with my own kid. Yet nine times out of ten there's that "safe" event, and there's really *nothing* festive about it. Heck instead of candy the kiddos get 'healthy" snacks.

  • Yeah, hallowe'en has lost its thrill for me. I'm not going this year. I'm staying home to give out sweets for the kids in my area. I live on a hill with three roads connected together. Very quiet place. At least the neighbours keep hallowe'en alive.

  • Happy Halloween, Tyger. I share the sentimentality...I've always been a big Halloween guy, but it seems like the way I used to do things is on the way out. Whatever happened to scary costumes, door-to-door, all that good stuff?

  • I remember having my candy X-rayed, because of rumors of people putting razor blades in the candy or fruit.

BtW I'm older than you and there is no way you, will find me on a porch swing. Well, unless I had a few to many beers than yeah.

  • I miss the old fashion way of making horror movies. Before 2001, horror movies usually only came out during the Halloween season and it was actually scary with origional ways of killing people. Now a horror movie is released EVERY SINGLE MONTH and they are usually remakes or they're about the same thing over and over again. I used to be scared about Halloween coming around but now it's just another joke holiday like Easter, valentines day, and Christmas.

  • i agree with that, most horror movies dont have any plot to it. just run around, people die, and the 2 left standing are usly the love intrest of the movie. thats one reason i dont watch many horror movies, but those old ones i loved to watch.

  • happy halloween u old son of bitch
