  • You didn't teach how to play it? You thought the chords but not what he plays?

  • that thumb has some serious curvage

  • @callehasty dont u be hatin on thumb curvage lol

  • Is he playing a Squire??

  • Your chords are wrong. It's Cm, to Ebadd9, to Fm11, to Abadd9, to Bb6/9. This makes the progression i, III, iv, VI, VII in the key of C minor.

  • thank you a lot, bro!!!

  • yes we shall break it down

  • you have all those guitars and you pick a squire???

  • @nathan2rock I can't seem to find anything wrong with the squire. It sounds fantastic and he plays it well, nuff' said.

  • This is great!! thanks for posting this. I'm working with it now, the fingering is non-standard enough that it's taking me a while to get it.

Looking forward to the rest of the song. Do you have plans to upload the other parts?

  • HAHAHAHA SQUIER!!!!!

  • @McPewn lol

  • That's pretty good. Thanks!

  • You have all those guitars on the wall and you picked a Squier... :(

  • more! more!

  • your knee is sticking out

  • Why dislike this ? He id doing an Exellent job! Fuck you haters!

  • His fingers aren't human. nuff said.

  • good lesson, but Ithink you could explain different options for positioning your hand in the chords. much easier to use a barre in most of the chords, it also makes it easier to switch chords

  • @itertzakian you have a good point, but i think that if you are at a level where you are attempting to play this song, you will find the most comfortable chord positions on your own as you play through the riff.

  • you look like Kurt Cobain

  • @bakeacake9 kurt cobain sucked

  • @MikeWilliamsk Fuck you!

  • excellent tutorial.

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • I watched this video, learned it, and then saw you lived 10 minutes down the road.

  • great job thanks

  • yellow mama music! :D

  • Anyone struggling with the tuning just make sure the ninth fret of your 6th string sounds the same as your 5th string played open. That's how I remember anyway

  • E grave vira C !!

  • awsome.......

  • The easiest way to tune down to C is to use a tuner:)

  • Abaixe o E para D

  • Qual é a afinação ? ¬¬

  • that's not the right technique to play it.

  • u play well but show hw 2 pluck

  • while watching this, i was tuning my low e string to a c...

i now have to go buy a new low e string.

  • @icasinas

lol u needed to tune down not up!

  • @srutra3 lol i know! i figured that out XD

  • @srutra3 haha, but at least i didnt have to buy strings. i had extras laying around :P

  • u didnt tell us how to pluck it....

  • Good job Jon!

  • awesome video

  • john uses only the thumb and his index finger at the right hand ...

  • Mayer uses his thumb for the bass notes on the 6th string which is what gives it the smooth transition. You can see it in the Live in LA version

  • this is not the way he plays it but it does sound kind of ok,,, i guesS?

  • neat tone mate!

  • sounds awesome..

  • post more tutorials

  • great :)
