i thought that was very emotional for everyone. mats is one of my favorite maple leafs player and he will always be forever. i'm happy i bought the leafs jersey of mats back in spring break '04. its too bad brian burke didn't made a agreement w/ him. toronto will always remember mats for 13 years.

definetly. mats have made so much impact for the maple leafs and in his hometown country sweden. so, i think they will soon.

:) I love us Canadians. They would do that in any city for a player with that impact for the team. When Trevor Linden retired in Vancouver it was so loud, the ovation, just touching ^^ So glad Mats is a Canuck now, and am soooo glad he got that reaction, he deserved it, never seen him with tears in his eyes before! Great way to say goodbye for him, something he won't soon forget. Good on you Toronto!!! And such a GREAT game with an fairy tale ending haha, Mats with the win :D

I was at this game with my buddy and it was a really good game and the standing ovation was so loud. I was confused when he touched the puck everyone booed him but everyone cheered him too.

This was incredible. How the Toronto fans and even players could give him that standing ovation, that is just great of them all. Really means he have done something for the Maple Leafs. But as the Swede I am, Mats Sundin will always be a leaf and he will in his heart too. Great respect there to you americans.
