It has stereo inputs and outputs in the rear that bypasses the preamp stuff that I normally use. So basically I use it as a power amp. It does have good tone when used traditionally but I never used it much that way. Best to test drive one for yourself.
wow is that an ibanez saber ? i used to have a red one just like it. i'm playing it in my garage days video but you can't really see it because there was hustler centerfolds all over the walls of our mini storage so i used effects to cover them up to post the video without getting flagged lol . i could kick myslef for trading it in for my esp mirage but i was into george lynch and had to have one like his =)
If you're talking about the red one, I bought it in '93. I seem to remember the salesman saying it was an RG and coming with a RG tag. But it is a Mahogany body with the same shape as a S series so I'm not sure. Nothing to indicate the model anywhere on the axe. It has served me well for many years though.
@MrLeedsman If I remember correctly that is a S540LTD in Lipstick Red. So it is an 'S' model. There should be stamping inbetween the neck and the body. But you have to take the neck off to see it (if you really want to know).
Yeah that was my roommate's he was always bringing home toys. I remember that one had the best tone of any guitar I've ever played. Too bad the fucking thing wouldn't stay in tune for 5 minutes. Is that a world record for shortest guitar ownership?
hey leed, on your opinion i was looking into a new amp a half stack and one for metal, i tried marshalls and didnt like them i looked into bugeras and some line6s i cant really decide, my price range is about 500-1000$
Well you're asking a guy that rarely uses amps anymore. I have been impressed by Bogner demo's on YouTube. Search "Bogner XTC with Tom Holmes Humbucker" If you use multi effect processors like me, you may just want to go with a power amp to preserve the already great sound from the processor. I like my Crate. I can also bypass the preamp and it has stereo outputs.
MrLeedsman you are still my favorite guitar playa you handle those frets like Leonardo De Vinche handles a paint brush. You are one of the few people who give youtube videos a good name "rock on" .........kool out
Oh yeah! Thx for HQ label. The sound is fabulous. I've a 2.1 sound speakers and the improvement with HQ is impressive. Great work, man. Regards from Madrid.

How do you connect drums to the HD - midi or 1/4 inch cable in?
GeezerRock1 2 years ago
I use two 1/4" cables for stereo. Both units have midi connections but I'm not smart enough to use it.

I like it very much.
