I like this, but it might be better if she sang it in a higher key? Because she has a low key here and her voice is so naturally ferocious here the high notes dont sound as high. I have seen her live, and if you was to see her live I am sure you would be impressed. She is 30 now which is the best age for the voice, she has improved greatly since this performance and has a truly amazing voice. I think you need to know her a bit better to make comments like that.

That is the way it works for most female singers whose main strength lies in their voices. I love Celine's voice, but if anything, James Horner was inspired by the Norwegian soprano Sissel when he wrote the soundtrack to Titanic, but in the end she wasn't "pop" enough to make the song a radio hit.
I love Katherine, love Celine Dion, love Brittany Mruczek, love Lisa Kelly, Méav Ní Mhaolchatha and Orla Fallon. I also love Chloe Agnew, Melanie Safka, Judy Collins and Jewel. I love that band called the Corrs and I have to say I love Annie Haslam, Keri Leigh, Karen Matheson, Ola Szomańska, Sarah McLachlan and a talented young lady I met just a couple of weeks ago, Ashley Nicole Monical. I love the female voice and the variety they bring. I do not compare them as each is wonderfully unique.

when you are an opera singer, you must sing in all of these languages...so what Katherine does here, singing in three different languages at the same concert it's not unusual for her or for any other opera singers. Sometimes, you must sing today a whole role in russian, tomorrow in italian, germain, french, romanian...and even if you don't know these languages at the perfection, you must study very hard to know by heart all of these languages and of course to know word by word the translation..

Saw Celine in Vegas & the singing was OK but all the banal chatter to amuse the mainly American audience was infuriating. Katherine Jenkins however was absolutely superb in concert.

I like her a ton but I have to agree with some people her style (Mezzosoprano opera) of singing does not really match the solid emotional power of the song.

Yeah, i dont like this either, shes missing emotion in the song. and i hate where they pick the tempo up as well. bad version. and she is putting too much into it.

Definitely do not like the arrangement at all!!! Don't have a clue what james horner, magnificent composer/arranger!!!, was thinking when he did this, except maybe it's got to be "hollywood", but I agree, doesn't come off! Not appealilng in the least. But, one cannot fault her voice It's magnificent!!! I wonder with Celine's arrangement & Katherine's voice, if Katherine sung it first what we would think. I would still HAVE to go w/ Celine. Seems to put more of her soul into the entire piece.

Just because she doesn't huff & Puff & warble like Celine Dion, does not make her a bad singer.
Saw Celine in Vegas & the singing was OK but all the banal chatter to amuse the mainly American audience was infuriating. Katherine Jenkins however was absolutely superb in concert.

i agree with some of the people on here..katherine has a beautiful voice for an opera singer.this song shouldn't be sung as an opera kind of way..i know she can change her style of singing but at least change the rhythm to pop..

okay i would like to see you people sing an opera in front of thousands of people. Yes, I know the song's not an opera but Katherine sings in opera, that's her voice. You have no idea how many times i get the "the songs she sings isn't opera." Well she sings opera and turns classics into opera. Guess the twenty first century isn't ready for her gift. @verbod I don't think any artists suck, I think they all have their own gifts and talents. All I tried to say was that I prefer Dion more in this song. Katherine is a good and talented singer, I love her as well, I listen to her songs and I buy her CDs.

wwhy is this song coveed so much. it is a great song but celine is the artist and EVERY1 knows it. if an artist truly feels they want to interpret the song thats 1 thing but I think alot of people do it 2 comptte with celine.

I've started to discover Katherine Jenkins, her version is very good though not as fantastic as Celine's. Dion owned the song. I also liked Sarah Brightman's version.

Leute, man muss ja auch mal offen für neues sein! ;) Die Klassik ist stark im kommen (Gott sei Dank!!!!) Trotzdem finde ich auch, dass sie es noch etwas gefühlvoller hätte singen können und dass sie leider keine besonders lange Luft hat...
