i got a 97 sohc neon that will take that all its got done is 95 cam and intake with 355 gears and i few minor mods

i have the 3.94 trans in my 95 sport coupe and wish i had a 3.55 again. i dont see why their all that. i like the take off, but i miss the 60-65mph 3rd gear pulls of the 3.55 alot better.

dude ur neon is slow. u only hit 110 with a messed up speedo needle. ur needle started at 20 with no wheel spin or anything like that. mine does 125 with just an intake and a muffler with correctly working gauges ha ha ha

only hit 110? he hit 110 in 4th gear which if you know correctly means he has an AFX or mopar ECU/PCM, and i bet you don't even know what that is.

one thing it does, is raise the speed governor to 140 in 5th gear. yours won't hit no faster than 115 or 120. slow now?

@FallnLord the car was lifted for sure, at least next time if you lift the car close all the doors. the "DOOR AJAR" light means that one of the doors was open. so stop telling to people that it was on the road, the car don't even shake at all so wasn't on the road.

how did you get these reverse glow gauges on? i've had such trouble w/ trying to get them on my neon, it seems the holes for the needle bases are too small..

You have to pull out the trip button, (hold the very bottom with needle nose plyers, and pull off the thinker top part) and put all the needles in a straight up position.

Its a pain in the ass, but worth it.

i had a 97 neon who ever i bought it from some how took off the governor cause i could get it up to 118 mph...but after i replaced the battery it must of reset somthing cause it would cut back at about 95 or so. good car lots of room decent mileage and peppy. not everyone liked the bug eyed front but i thought it was cute

this is the 1st owner before i sold it to fallen.i had alot done to it at the time i made this video.and yes the door ajar sensor was messed up. but i had a cold air intake on it exhaust headers back.a port and polishes cylinder head.crane cams.after market valves.the cylinder head shaved down.carved out the throttle body .after market spark plug wires.i miss the car it was great but had to sell it cause i was having a baby, all i got to say is NEONS RULE AND MUSTANG SUCK MY NUTS !

the needles are on pins (redundant?). they pull off. just mark the orientation when you remove them and put them back on pointing the same direction.
