  • Brillant explination, and great drills to use for athletes.

  • Hey! Thanks for posting these! I coach kids in ball-hockey and I started with no hockey background whatosever about 3 years ago and I've been learning new things each year. This looks like a great excercise for them to do!

How would you suggest this be integrated into a practice?

  • @rohbit Hey thanks man! Glad you liked them... you can incorporate them into the kids practice- make sure to do agility/mobility first and then speed. Strengh/power follow and then endurance. In that order for the workout and the week. Hope that helps!

  • I"ve been playing ball hockey with running shoes in a competitive league for 5 years, and I'm still one of the slowest guys. It's really frustrating. I try to run faster, but still look like I can't get any faster. If your technique works with me, then it's going to a wonderful thing. I will let you know for sure.

  • @Forsure3333 hey cool- let me know. Many sprints to the ball are short in duration so you need to have a quick one/two! Keep training hard! And fast!

  • @DryLandHockey Exactly. It's the first few seconds that count. When I play defenseman and the opponent runs in my direction and I can't block him, it's impossible for me to turn around and catch him up. I know that some guys can, but certainly not me. I'm always last to the ball.

  • @Forsure3333 hey man hang in there... smart and reading the play will make you faster as well. One skill does not make a hockey player!
