  • I wanna start a petition to bring back the orient and to tear down the boomerang lol bcuz I get a concussion evertime I ride it...

  • @BriBThizzin YES. Lets tear down Boomerang and put back Zmbezi Zinger. it was a very bad choice to gut out Zambezi Zinger and replace it with Boomerang. for O.E all that would have to be done is to tear out Lore of Vampire and repaint it back to how it was when O.E was there. oh and move the new festhaus up closer to the grand carousel. then they could rebuild O.E!

  • They should of remade the Orient Express if it was remade instead of making Spinning Dragons alot of people would be happy. I have to admit Spinning Dragons is a good for roller coaster riders who are not ready for the Mamba or rides like the Milluiem force in Cedar Point. But it's been so long since I rode that thing RIP Orient Express

  • I got some brain damage from this when I rode it.

  • what do you guys like more the orient express or the patriot?

  • @twindsor13 Orient Express. Patriot reminds me to much of Batman at 6 flags st louis. Orient Express was a one of a kind coaster. O.E was my first looping/ batwing coaster.

  • I had fear of roller coasters as a kid...then finally rode this...it was the best ever....then they took it from me....damn the man...

  • did the patriot or spinning draggons replace this?

  • Yes and No, there is no coaster currently where Orient Express stood. When Dragons opened everyone immediatly thought it was the replacement for OE, but of course that was not correct. My understanding is that originally the OE and dragons were supposed to coexist until Patriot could be added. (they do not overlap at all), Patriot if the "replacement" for OE.

  • @wushock1991 the patriot

  • Comment removed

  • nostalgia anyone? sorry dont know how to spell that lol

  • Oh how I miss this coaster

  • I'm guessing it was sunny that day...?

  • Thumbs up if you agree that you can't see a THING on this POV

  • I agree Orient Express could be rebuilt, but realistically I don't expect it to ever happen. Great Coaster designs get torn down all the time, in many cases simply because they are old (Big Bad Wolf is a great example, and is was another classic Arrow like Express was). Also Spinning Dragons did NOT replace Express. If you look at an aerial, or remember where the ride was, Dragons does not encroach at all on the ride footprint of Express. It is located more were the Express queue line was.

  • @extremeroller yeah. spinning dragons is where the fins and flippers show was. the big fountain in the middle of spinning dragons is the original dive tank that was used for fins and flippers.

  • @extremeroller And that is very sad. I have been on every ride and thrill ride at Worlds of Fun and out of all the Thrill rides the Spinning Dragons was the most dissapointing. The Orient Express was still around the first time I ever visited the park but I was to little to ride it and it was torn down before I ever could. They should pull down the SD and rebuild or design a new OE.

  • @extremeroller plus I was none too impressed with "Lore of the Vampire" in the old OE building so they wouldn't be loseing all that much to bring her back. Lol

  • I dont think anything has really truly replaced the Orient Express when you think about it. I mean the original spot the Orient stood on is still empty after seven years but the loading station is still there. To me the only logical thing to do is rebuild Orient Express because technology has advanced to the point that the ride can be modified to be smoother and safer while keeping the original layout and such. Its just a matter of those in charge to take a chance and go for it. It can work.

  • @Bonecracker2389 the lockness monster ride is better

  • @MrTman97 Lochness Monster looks spectacular, however the Orient Express had the first Kamikaze Kurve incorporated into its layout which is why I find it a little more interesting. Lochness Monster does have the helix in the cave though which the Orient does not have, so I guess they are equally cool. I still believe they should rebuild Orient Express, even if the possibility is far fetched. It would be something thats never been done before and thats why it would be amazing to see it come back

  • guys spinning dragons definitly did not replace orient express. i know because i went there over summer this year and the spot where spinning dragons is in a spot that is way to small for the orient express, so is patriot.. if u ask me, i think that the prowler replaced orient express because of all the trees, prowler goes through a really big treeline and takes alot of space, just like the orient express, so it would make much more sense that the prowler replaced the orient express.

  • @flash31939 i understand what ur saying about how the prowler replaced the O.E. but prowler is far from the spot where the O.E was. the loading dock for O.E is used for a stupid haunted house. everytime i go to the park i go to the loading station for O.E and toss a penny over the roof like i use to do when O.E was there. the loading dock for O.E is tucked behind the spinning dragons.

  • So I was at Worlds of Fun last week standing in line for Spinning Dragons and could clearly see the old Orient Express loading station. I also saw that "Lore of the vampire" sign on the side of the building wiht the windows covered over. If only the park would take down that sign, uncover the windows and rebuild that familiar towering stucture that was the Orient Express.....Lets see, a halloween haunt vs. a classic steel roller coaster...which is better? BRING BACK THE ORIENT EXPRESS!

  • too bad they toor it down

  • horrible quality, i can't see a thing! It hurts my eves O_0

  • Seeing as it was filmed in 1993, the cameras weren't as good back then. However, the old video camera from 1989 that I believe my dad still has is way better than this.

  • I wonder what happened to the POV they had on the website.... :/

  • No one died on it. Timber Wolf is the only ride (roller coaster) that had a death. Orient Express just had alot of mechanical issues and several injuries from the derailing in 1999.

  • the timber wolf had a death D: i didnt know about that ... what happened?

  • In 1995 there was a teenage girl who stood up on the ride and fell off. I remember me and my family were on the way to Worlds of fun when we heard about it on the radio. The ride was closed down when we got there, but i remember seeing the ride being tested.

  • @Bonecracker2389 no that was the timber wolf. the little girl stood up to change places w/ her friend and the little girl fell off. the O.E was probably closed down due to some train problems or the weather.

  • @RayneFever some lady fell off

  • @miranda55g no that was the timber wolf. there has never been a deathon the O.E. just injuries.

  • @RayneFever a little girl stood up on the timber wolf to change places w/ her friend and she fell to her death.

  • @zac613 She wasn't A Little Girl. She Was My Aunt's Friend. She Was In Her Very Early 20's. My Aunt Still Has The Obituary.

  • @rainenemily ak ok. well every web site that tells about the death make it to where she's a little girl. srry about ur aunt's friend.

  • @Bonecracker2389 Ya. It Was My Aunts Friend That Died On The Timber Wolf. She Tried To Switch Seats While Going Downhill And Fell Out..My Aunt Still Has The Obituary:(

  • It doesn't matter. WOF made stupid mistakes and now they are losing people to either Oceans of Fun or parks in So Cal

  • i went on this ride three times during my family reunion in kansas it was cool... in fact it was the closest ride to viper (currently my all time fav ride) I will miss it

R.I.P Orient Express spinning dragons suck dick

  • If you ask me, its Cedar Fairs fault. They didnt maintain this ride properly, leading to its demolition because they simply didnt want to fix it.

  • It was a very old ride...by law, the park's owners have to maintain the rides. Parks have to weigh all options when they decide to take out rides/bring in new ones. The Orient's maintenance fees were astronomical in it's final years...since the manufaturer of parts for the trains/coaster went bankrupt.

  • That was one of the first coasters I rode back when I was a kid. First was the zinger. And are you sure it wasnt stuck upside down? I swear I remember it did, mainly because it happened within 15 minutes of me riding it for the last time. I was gonna ride it again but it gave me a headache because it was so rough.

  • It never got stuck upside down.

  • yea it did that's part of the reason they took it down.

  • Sorry, but you are mistaken. The park removed the ride b/c it was too expensive to maintain.

  • I know what I'm talking about..... if i didn't I wouldn't say anything. And I said that was PART of the reason they took it down.

  • No one ever died on the Orient Express. It was scrapped b/c it was showing its age, and was costing the park too much money to keep running.

  • i know what i'm talking about......this discussion was over 2 months ago so stop commenting on it. k bye:)

  • I never got to ride it. I wasn't even alive yet. but my grandpa is a roller coster nut. He says it was great. So does my uncle.

  • i wish i could of rode the orient express. but i was too short the last season it was open : (. I wish they could remake the roller coaster and take spinning dragons out and put orient back in .

  • I absolutely loved this ride and I remember riding it the 1st week it was open back in 1980 or so.

  • i miss this coaster a lot. Spinning dragons sucks.

  • R.I.P orient you, will be missed!!

  • i didnt get to ride this ride...

  • i remember working at WOF 10 years ago. one night as soon as i left work the orient derailed. it was on the news as soon as i got home. i used to ride the ride occassionally but after that accident i never even went near it again.

  • i miss that double interlocking loop classic used to be 1 of 2 interlocking loops in the world and btw patriot didnt take place for it spinning dragons did

  • Like others have said the only Arrow Dynamics coaster that WAS stuck upside down was the Demon at Six Flags Great America in Chicago. Orient Express was never stuck upside down. Also if you look at it from an aerial perspective Spinning Dragons does not in any way infringe on the land that the Orient Express stood on. Last, technically S&S could rebuild the ride if anyone was to, and it wouldn't be so bad if the trains they used didn't have a solid axle, that's what made the ride so rough.

  • The Orient never got stuck upside down...you can look up detailed reports of the only 2 accidents online. The only derailment didn't occur on a loop.

  • Shame that even for 1993 standards, this POV is pretty much rubbish. It's an even bigger shame that this is the only POV on YouTube. Thanks anyway for sharing this with us.

  • i remember the orient getting stuck upside down. it was on the local news. teh fire dept had to come get everyone down. i even kinda remember someone breaking an arm or something like that

  • There were only 2 accidents y'all...one in 1990(2 trains collided as one struck another while coming into the brake run due to computer malfunction that controls/monitors multiple train operation) the other in 1998(severe metal fatigue in wheel assemly caused 2 cars to derail while coming into final brake run) No one ever died on this ride, no trains ever got stuck upside down and it was impossible to lift the shoulder restraint once locked in place. The release was on the side of the train.

  • Wow...I just read all the comments and it's great to see that so many people loved this coaster. It would be hard for the park to recreate this ride, since you don't see many parks opening arrow/vekoma style coasters anymore. The Orient was one of the first arrow/vekoma style coasters that set a precedence for others that still operate today...Vortex(Kings Isl), Great Amer Scr Machine(SF Grt Advtr), Viper(SFMgc Mntn), etc. The Orient was one of the originals, so recognize!!

  • Wouldn't S&S Power be able to make them after they took over Arrow's assets?

  • Or Vekoma for that matter...

  • Vekoma does do very similiar track styles & trains, but they don't have the exact designs Arrow used for OE. S&S Power would.

  • Yes

  • I never got a chance to ride it before they tore it down. They should've refurbished it! I really wish I could've ridden it which it was still around!!

  • It never got stuck in a loop...the only accident I knew of was when two trains collided when a train struck another in the final brake run. I STILL can't believe they took scrapped it for a lame ride like Spinning Dragons(kinda bitter cause the Orient was my 1st coaster ever). They should've refurbished it, modernized it a bit, that would have been great. Though, WOF is beefing things up with Patriot and Prowler. Good to see for such a great park!

  • Man, I miss that ride.

  • Too bad the video quality isn't that great...I'd try to make a recreation of it in RCT3 or ask DmCoasters recreate it in No Limits...

I never had the chance to ride this, sadly. I was only 8 or 9 and had just ridden my first looping coaster, the Dragon at Adventureland, and wanted to ride this. It was gone, though, and Spinning Dragons was being built.

  • I AM GOIN IN 6 DYAS WOOOOO HOOOOO THIS WILL BE MY LIKE 250TH TIME THERE! Lol idk why im so excited?

  • Ok obviously nobody knows anything about these rollercoasters. SPINNING DRAGONS DIDN'T REPLACE ORIENT! PATRIOT REPLACED ORIENT! SPINNING DRAGONS REPLACED ZAMBERI OR SHUSSBOOMER I FORGOT WHICH ONE!

  • If you want to look at it that way. Boomerang was literally placed into the spot that Zambezi Zinger was in. Spinning Dragons was designed to coexist with Orient Express, but the decision was made to remove the Orient Express due to high maintenance cost and metal fatigue in the track. Patriot was built off to the West of the Orient Express lot. The Orient Express lot is completely vacant other than Lore of the Vampire. Schussboomer was where the festhaus tent is today. SD is where the dive show

  • Well technically Patriot is probably the closest ride to the location of the Orient Express, but I know SD didn't literally replace OE.

  • I agree with you in the figurative sense. Spinning Dragons was a replacement for the "family coaster" Zambezi Zinger. Patriot was a replacement for the "thrilling looping steel coaster" Orient Express. Boomerang was an "Oh crap we need something cheap and quick to keep attendance up!" Not that I don't agree with their decision to build it, just seems odd to get Mamba (a hyper coaster) and then a Boomerang (a coaster 40+ parks have already).

  • Not to mention Spinning Dragons actually isn't that bad of a rollercoaster. Orient did have some problems anyways. As for Boomerang, I totally agree with you there xD

  • Exactly!

  • ok zambezi zinger was replaced by boomerang and still u ppl dont get it. go there yourself and picture orient express in it's spot. It can still be there even with patriot standing just picture it

  • ur the one who doesnt know... aytrane is right spinning dragons replaced orient express and patriots not even in the orient area of the park

boomerang did replace zambezi zinger not the shooshboomer

  • I know enough... aytrane agreed with me if you didn't read his last post. Patriot replacd Orient Express, not Spinning Dragons. That replaced something else. I forgot what it was exactly, at first I thought it was a rollercoaster, but I looked at worldsoffun(dot)org and it replaced something else.

  • The Dolphin/Dive show was in that spot.

  • yeah thanks. I noticed you mentioned that earlier so that was bad on my part :P

  • how can that be possible orient express was in the orient area and the spinning dragons is in the orient area

patriot on the other hand is in the americana area

  • It doesn't matter where they're located. All that matters is wof isn't that stupid enough to replace a giant with a small family ride.

  • agreed

  • I think i understand your question..... Orient express was there before spinning dragons. the took O.E. out for spinning dragons.

  • seriously how can patriot replace orient express i went there two years ago and i saw that patriot was on another side i could see wide open spaces where orient used to be u must be on crack man i saw that spinning dragons was there and right on the orient express area (on the queue)

  • Patriot was planned long before it was thought up. (B&M has a habit of doing that). As for spinning dragons, it replaced a fountain show of some sort that used to be there, but as a ride, it replaced the Zamberi Zinger. I'm not sure what the story is behind SD, but either way.

  • i see your point i had no idea that there was a fountain show bc i had not been there since 2003 when orient express was in it's final season and in 2007 i came back with a huge surprise. My guess how zambezi zinger got replaced is that they tore it down and the money was saved for something else like spinning dragons. boomerang was placed on the spot where zambezi zinger used to be. Thx for clearing up your comments

  • Well to be honest, I'm kinda guessing a little bit. I guess Orient Could've been replaced by Spinning Dragons because they're in the same place, but I just don't like thinking WOF is that stupid. Mostly because I assumed they were having money troubles when they scrapped OE so they built SD, until I found out about Patriot, which most likely means they weren't having too many financial difficulties. It just feels like it would make more sense if Patriot was planned to replace OE.

  • ur right. WOF is stupid even though u dont like thinking it like i do. money is always an issue but however S&S has the original design so i hope it is built somewhere. Seems like Magic Mountain looks like a good place. not only would more ppl come, it might pass up Cedar Point for most coasters. WOF has been pussified

  • lol. It's probablyh because they're the only theme park around, but there's no way I'd ever say it's better than Magic Mountain (or any of the other Six Flags places). Also I agree, I hope it's built somewhere else too, maybe Knott's Berry Farm?

  • i dont see that becoming a reality. Knott's Berry Farm is too small of a park and every available space is taken up by either silver bullet, xcellerator, or ghostrider. To build it, they would either have to shut down the entire park so that the sky's the limit (by that i mean build it on top of the park) or buy more vacant land. A possible spot was used for side parking. Knott's seems like a good place but with no space left, it would be better off in either Magic Mountain or Disneyland.

  • The main reason I'm kinda straying away from Magic Mountain is because they have enough good rides as it is and I've been hearing rumors about it closing down, but not at all am I saying it would be a bad Idea to build it there, Disneyland could be another possibility.

  • I see your point with too much good stuff, but the rumors are way off topic. It ended after the opening of Tatsu. Six Flags decided to keep the park after their negotiations failed and since then, they progressed with the park. They have plasmas now on almost every ride, built two new rides: Tatsu and Terminator Salvation, remodeled X into X2, and did what Worlds of Fun failed to do: work towards family-friendly projects and keep the giants and thrill rides in the park at the same time.

  • oh I see. Ok then yeah Orient would work very well in that park. I'm sure they could fix i to be much less rickety than it was before it was taken down in wof. As for disney land, like you said, if they're not expanding on land then I guess it's out of the question. I honestly think it probably wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the rides either. That's just how I see it.

  • I like your ideas. I love an idealist. Disneyland can better maintian the rides becasue they earn millions of dollars every day and money is no excuse for a porblem. However, Magic Mountain doesn't maintain the park as well as DL but the rides are a bit more reliable. win/win situation. The right park will make Orient Express last for decades.

  • imo the best place I could see OE being in is Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I'm not sure what their backstory is like, but it would definitely fit there. Fantasyland would also work very well.

  • @perfectchaoslemon haha no the best place for O.E is at worlds of fun. lol but the coaster got scrapped

  • Also I like the idea of Disneyland building it so that even more people would come as the world's current second interlocking looping coaster, but then again, space is a problem. Walt Disney made a choice not to expand on Disneyland and now, rides inside need to be replaced to make room for new rides. Fantasyland looks good, but how much vacancy does FLhave. I was thinking that in between Casey Jr. Train and Storybookland a new coaster should be built so DL can enter a new era of thrills

  • The Zinger is still in operation. It was sold to a park in Columbia(i think) and was rename "Boca".

  • ok thx for the info

  • how's busch gardens tampa? i dont know how it's like but either spot may work. if u have info on busch gardens tampa plz reply

  • @perfectchaoslemon spinning dragons stands where fins and flippers dolphin show stood. the fountain in the middle of SD is the original tank that fins and flippers used. that tank has been there since the park was built. thats about the only thing left from when the park opened. it's sad that cedar point tore out everything that made the park worlds of fun.

  • @2009lalakers no. spinning dragons is on the spot where fins and flippers dolphin show was. the fountain in the middle of spinning dragons is the original tank that was used for fins and flippers. that tank has been there since the park was built. the tank is about the only thing that's been there since the park opened, that is still in use.

  • i hated this ride, im glad theyclosed it!

  • long long long gone

  • i miss this ride i !!! this used to be the best ride in the park!!!! '_' *sad face*

  • why did they take this one down for the stupid spinning dragons...morons!

  • For some reason...i think WOF has become pussified. All these other parks are building huge 400ft tall coasters, but WOF tears down all the cool ones and puts up little kiddie coasters. Kinda sucks like everything else in K.C.

  • cuz it was old as fuck and kept breaking down everyday...

  • it also derailed 2 times

  • Didn't it derailed upside-down and the back two cars fell off? O well, I'd have still gone on it. I never got the chance =(

  • actually it left 2 cars hanging off the side, but no one was seriously injured.

  • It derailed once

  • I grew up on this ride. Man was it rough and intense. The interlocking loops was sweet.

I've been on a ton of coasters but it gets no better than Orient Express and Zambui Zinger at Worlds of Fun when I was a kid

  • That's what my older cousin always says. I never got the chance to ride this, sadly =(

  • I miss the Zambi zi zinger(however you spell it)

  • and also i went back last year and it was really deppressing to see sum of the concreat support bases still laying their with out a rollercoaster on them man i miss that ride RIP Orient Express

  • this was the first rollercoaster i ever rode it almost makes me cry knowing that its gone

  • they had to take this out before i ever had a chance to ride, thx for the movie.

    BTW SPINNING DRAGONS SUCKS

  • too bad they replaced this with the spinning dragons... this was one of their better coasters... hopefully they'll make a new one like this soon.

  • when i was little...i would always come to worlds of fun in da summer and i always wanted to ride this ride but when i finally got tall enough, they took it out. gosh!

  • same thing happend to me. LOL

  • damn this video brings back memories of the good ole days when i would go to wof and ride that 39742347 times.. rip orient express

  • And puke 39742300 times lol. It took the first 47 to get to that puking state haha

  • also on the timberwolf!

On June 30, 1995, 14-year-old Ryan Bielby was killed when she fell about 25ft from the coaster. She was reportedly switching seats when the accident occurred. The ride was temporarily shut down pending the results of an investigation of its safety features, which resulted in new lapbars being installed.

  • also on the timberwolf...

On March 31, 1990, 35 people were injured when two trains collided just short of the loading platform.[23] The control system malfunctioned, causing the system to be unable to control two trains at once.[24] The ride reopened running a single train until the control system was fixed to handle two trains

  • this is what really happend on the orient express...

On July 17, 1999, two cars on the ride derailed, stranding 18 people. Two people were immediately taken to the hospital, with six others being sent to the hospital later. None of the injuries were life-threatening. During a subsequent investigation, it was determined that the cars derailed due to severe internal metal fatigue in a metal support post.

  • dude ic ant see anything that u videod its so blury

  • God I loved this ride! WOF always takes out the best rides and either doesn't replace them (ex. Ski Hi's) or Replaces them with mediocre ones (Zambibi-Zingger[spelling?].)

  • The Zambezi Zinger was there 7 years BEFORE this was even built! Please get your facts right!

*I DO see your point, WOF needs to improve. Luckily, we're getting Prowler in 2009, which will be awesome!!!

  • Dude! I'm so ready for Prowler! It looks like a LOAD of fun. Especially the fact that the only part of the entire ride that goes above the trees is the lift hill.

  • this ride always gave me a sore neck

  • x123gox, that is what happened, but if im remembering correctly, they were girls and only one of them died. it happened a while ago. ill look it up later for sure.

  • I was waiting and waiting to ride this, and i finally got to be tall enough to ride it, but then they took it out for the dragon ride. Orient was better than the spinning dragon.

  • Ahh i miss that ride!

that was my first upside down ride as a kid.

Only complaint was that i was realy short and my head kept slamming against the neck lap bar thing and gave me a migrane haha

    totaly worth it though.

And then they put the most boring ride in ever the spinning dragons.

  • JBat24, the kids didnt take thier seat belts off, the last few carts came of the track. a girl took her seat belt off and fell off the timber wolf though. maybe youre thinking of that.

  • (to JBat24 and gomerrpm21)

i heard of some kids who were stupid enough to try to switch seats at the top of the timberwolf before the first drop thing and died

  • Uhh...

I'd prefer if I could acctually SEE something...?

  • Rest In Peices Orient...fuckin kids who took thier belts off durin the ride

  • WTH? OE didn't have belts! Over the shoulder **ox collars** You don't take them off. Not physically possible.

Since Cedar Fair took ownership of WOF, coasters not made by the *right* companies have been getting removed and replaced with new coasters made by companies with which Cedar Fair does business.

  • your camera has issues LOL

  • shit camera

  • I called this "The Ledgens of Worlds of Fun's Roller Coaster"

  • I rode the orient express over and over, it was one of the first roller coasters I ever rode, It was awesome, The Zambi Zinger, was awesome too, I just remember the endless circles going down, and not being restrained.

We'll always remember the Orient Express.

  • that fuck u its not there anymore the put dumbass spinning dragon instead

  • When the camera was in the sun, you could hardly see anything

  • I loved this coaster but they had to tear it down i 1st rode it in 2004

  • i used to work there. that thing derailed back in '99. and it happened right after i left work.

  • This video brought back so many memories for me. I first rode it in 1982. I had to build up the nerve to ride it so I rode the Screamroller about fifteen times in a row. Then I could do it. My favorite was the Zambizee Zinger though. A fast roller coaster with no safety restraints! Yes! I'm surprized it lasted as long as it did without killing anyone.

  • I went to WOF in 1993, and rode this ride. And then I heard they were gonna take the ride down in 2003 so I went back for one last ride. I had grown since 1993. I went on the ride, the shoulderbars didn't go down all the way, and the ride was very jurky, and sometimes, the g-force made the shoulder bars go down farther, and at the end, It was painful. I never thought I'd say this about the ride, but the last time I rode it, it sucked!

  • extremeroller, thanks for stating what you did. I worked at Express in the 2001 season. You're right, express never did get stuck upside down like people have said. I do miss Express, but it was time for it to go...

  • yes it did it was on the news if you have have saw that in 1998 and it happend Five more times

  • You are wrong.

  • Express DID NOT ever get "stuck" upside down. It is physically impossible. People need to stop believing in "rumors" they hear and preach them as fact.

  • I have no idea if OE did or not, but it actually isn't "physically impossible" for an arrow ride to get stuck upside-down in a loop. There are safety devices on Arrow trains that, if something like a guide wheel is broken, will lock the train to the track. That means that is possible for the trains to lock up in the top of an inversion. An actual example of this happening is on Demon in Six Flags Great America in 1998.

  • Supercellcoaster, fair enough and thank you for the explanation. I worked at Worlds of Fun in 2001 and did spend most of the season at Express. It was a great experience and will never forget it.

  • The wheel assembly got jammed after the part broke, stopping the train. The assembly itself has no such device.

  • Thanks for putting this up...my entire life I wondered how it was like because I was too young to remember it...I never rode it, but it looks fun. To bad they took it down...wasnt it because people died on it or something...its just I remember when I was young my mother showing me the article in the newspaper about the cart falling off the track or soemthing...or something like that...

  • I'm sad to see Arrow Custom Looping Coasters Go! This coaster de-railed in 1999 leaving people stuck for 2 hours and the rear 2 cars hanging thirty feet above ground. No injuries, thats all I found.

  • you're thinking of the timberwolf, a girl died because she was trying to switch places with her friend during the ride and she fell off. the employees thought it was a joke at first.

  • Nope, no deaths, just a massive failure resulting in one of the worst derailments in American themepark history. Safest ride ever...

  • I wish i could go back in time and ride all past WOF rides.

  • i never rode this ride, i was too young then. but this was replaced by the spinning dragons, which is no substitute, so they built the patriot, which is badass.

  • oh my god i remember riding this! a little tho i was younger and all i know is that i was bawling at the end lol

  • R.I.P. Orient Express, Patriot is doing you justice.
