There has been talk that the only way out of this recession that has been building up for decades is to become an isolationist counrty once again as we were before WWI. I'm proud of the way America suffers scorn, and derision from allies, neutrals, and enemies alike. I hope that someday, America will pass on the burden of military superpower to another country, that the world will see and come to appreciate all America has done.
I believe everyone awarded the nobel peace prize would have received it regardless of the outcome, simply for the fact that they attempted to improve their situation. Many do not realize that the worth of an action is in the attempt, the solution, be it good or bad is the easy part. Watch your hopes , dreams, and ideals bear fruit and the world begin to change? Or be beaten, tortured, and outcast for your opinion? It is easy to watch the way things turn out, but setting them in motion is hard.
As with any decision made in a group of two or two billion or two trillion, there will always be someone who is unhappy, angry, or vengeful of the decision. In my opinion, Obama deserves praise for simply having the courage to believe that he could make the world and better place and run for president. I guarantee the Nobel Committee or Trust (whatever the proper name) regret -in orders of magnitude- giving this person the PEACE prize. At least the few that don't realize ALL gov'ts and ruling families won't allow peace and are the ones that have animated all side of all major conflicts. I believe everyone awarded the nobel peace prize would have received it regardless of the outcome, simply for the fact that they attempted to improve their situation. Many do not realize that the worth of an action is in the attempt, the solution, be it good or bad is the easy part. Watch your hopes , dreams, and ideals bear fruit and the world begin to change? Or be beaten, tortured, and outcast for your opinion? It is easy to watch the way things turn out, but setting them in motion is hard.

As with any decision made in a group of two or two billion or two trillion, there will always be someone who is unhappy, angry, or vengeful of the decision. In my opinion, Obama deserves praise for simply having the courage to believe that he could make the world and better place and run for president. Most people sit and think about it, have wonderful ideas, but never set anything in motion. Progress and the keeping of peace is all in the attempt.
