This controller has a different internal design than the others. More plastic, less metal. It doesn't really affect quality, just makes production cheaper.

Also, the axes for the sticks have been rotated 90 degrees.

I have one complaint. The black controllers continue to be unrivaled in shoulder button design. They are actually guided by a lever, rather than being free moving. The reason free motion is a problem is that the triggers get more friction from the plastic shell.

it's not silver it's white with a longer cable, nintendo released it in Japan for the Wii just pretty much to match it... I feel kinda dumb when my bro tells me not to buy these things because I have the same thing in just a different color but it's like a drug you have to have once you've seen it... Bravo nintendo! :D
