Nice gear. I use a Kokotat dry suit for ice swims and after a submersion it remains draining.
A good exercise to do for anyone using the water in these conditions.
I am an ocean kayaker so the water can be even colder. (salt water freezes at about 28 F)
We just had a hurricane here Swift water and Cold water rescue are tricks out firemen (people) have to master here.
