@civiladvantage I've run single-points like that - the challenge I find is if I need to move with the weapon on my back it's tough to do so. Other than that - love them.
The quick-release swivel on my Magpul PTS MS2 (the one attached to the rear on your M4) fell apart after less than ten hours of use and is now held together with cable ties. The genuine Magpul Industries MS2 uses a more solid two-piece component, rather than the three-piece swivel on the PTS version. Apart from that, the MS2 has been pretty reliable.
Just got back from Afghanistan. I'm in an Infantry unit and actually had to use my sling all the time.... I used the Condor.... Here's my take on it. the bungee material etc lasted just fine. .. The problem was the type of metal they used in the clips. Both of mine broke and I had to use wire to connect them to my M4. So if you are going to use this every day, I would not go with the condor. Just my opinion.
hey there, just a quick question - i have some heavy equipment on my M4, such as an m203 and a decently heavy rifle scope...all this and more combined makes my rifle weigh in a whopping 14lbs...do you think if im running or jumping the condor sling would break open? or is it very very sturdy?
CQB listen, if you want expensive airsoft gear go with SPEC-OPS brand equipment. It is made for real soldiers and is very high quality(probably better than both of these) and its a few dollars cheaper. Spec ops is just the best, dont waste your time with anything else.
I have the Condor bungee slings as a two point on my AK-47. Don't buy it if you don't like really loose slings, because even with the sling adjusted as short as possible it still hangs down and knocks against my knees. It might be okay if you carry your gun in your hands and you only need the sling for non-combat situations (lightening the load, etc.)
@dlo4reel Well, the PTS is for simulation and training, but Magpul does make the real steel version of this guy which is definitely for actual combat.
@dlo4reel I've used mine with an M4 (airsoft but lots of metal) and it's holding up well. I can't say it's mil-spec as far as the materials, but it's not junky that's for sure.
@CQBRadio and lastly if i order off ebay are there tell tell signs of a real PTS and a knock off, i know their PTS HQ is out of Hong Kong right? so being that its there im to suspect there would be alot of knock offs and you really cant trust people (especially not in the US, but im not being racial either) on ebay when they say "yes it is authentic Magpul PTS MS2..."
@dlo4reel Well, a lot of the retailers in the U.S. that I work with have the real deal. Evike, Airsoft Extreme, and Airsplat are all places that carry the real one. I got mine from EBAirsoft and it was the real deal.
@dlo4reel and whats crazy is that the local TAC stores are selling the MS2 with only the gator clip 360 or maybe vice versa but either way they are still charging $47-$57, on top of that i contacted Magpul PTS division via email and they said the only difference between the PTS and the Magpul is the 360 swivel
@MrNubnation If you go to evike, under tac gear, sling, and then the Spectre 3-point tac sling. It's out of stock now, but a good option for an M14. I have the G&P version.
It's made a standard webbing but is smoother and twice as thick. I have had mine for a while and it's held up as well as any other sling I have, if not better.
The PTS is the same quality and has 360 degrees of swivel were as the real MS2 dose not. Plus, the PTS is really only 26 dollars, and many people are not able to buy magpul stuff outside the states.
Im fucking kidding, are these good purchases for survival? which one would last longer? better meterials?
Ide like to buy one tonight.

Air soft? Get a gun dude. Amateurs.

@MichaelEClay lol shut up dude. airsoft is fun even for avid shooters. hell magpul even acknowledges it as a form of training.

Great material on the MS2 which is different than that tough web material which will eat your neck raw. MS2 works great on an AK47 Underfolder to.

would this be good for a kwa m16??
Darkstar2520 2 years ago
Either one can work on an M16, but it seems most people prefer these on a slightly smaller gun like an M4.
