@Gaahloucura - Amazing how one idiot can ruin something for everyone else. There should be an IQ test before being allowed to enter any area in Mexico where an idiot could harm their self or others. I'm surprised though, I would have thought it would have been an American. I'm American, I speak from personal observation.
Somebody feel and their brains went sliding out of their head all over the place back in 2007. They actually closed it to protect the structure though. The brain stains probably didn't help any.
im glad i got to climb it...the tour guide said they were going to not allow people to climb it because of the graffiti up at the top. too bad there are idiots on this planet. that was most certainly the highlight of chichen itza.
Its a shame they don't allow you to climb up anymore. I will skip this attraction, at least until they reopen it to climbing

@jfb17042 - I'm glad I found this out. I was going to take my children there. I enjoyed climbing it when I went there.

It was a german lady she was using flip flops and slip and died now nobody can climb up. Well that's what they said to me

We were just there last May and people are not allowed to climb the Pyramid anymore. too bad :-(

I'm jealous, cause I was just there and they no longer allow people to go up the steps. I was extremely dissapointed.
