  • all you had to do was give the trooper your id and he would have left you alone but no you didnt do that you had to argue with him over something that small

  • I kind of laughed! U guys basically decide what should be done or shouldn't? What the hell judging from what people comment here is so dumb!! U should've known better! I actually heard from a quite good source that because of these kind of little investigations there's absolutely no criminals there! Clear?

  • Yeah I love how in description makes it seem like, oh we were just minding our own business when we got arrested for no reason. The officer simply asks for the I.D. and they refuse for no reason

  • What people are not understanding is that in America even if you are Amish or some other sect you are in a free nation subject to it's laws. Just as I can not tell you that because you are Amish you may not use my public hospital so you may not tell me what public property I may enjoy. It is the same typical hypocrisy of the poor being oppressed by the rich.

To seclude yourself and refuse the LORD's work in this world is an obstacle as witnessed by the violent actions of this "peace officer".

  • Did this incident ever make the newspapers? If so, can you point us to it?

  • After reading some of the comments, it seems Amerika is full of IDIOTS. So they were taking pictures! Big deal! A bunch of IDIOTS grinding their loins in absolute cop worship because some individuals didn't show I.D. because they were doing nothing more than taking ... PICTURES.

God help us! I live in a country of RETARDS!

  • @EyeOnTheDog Ok and now YOU'RE sounding like a, and I'll put it the way you're immature mind says it "retartd", because you're basing your generalization off one incident in a video taken from a video camera. So you just sound stupid

  • @11drogbacfc @11drogbacfc I am not basing my "generalization off one incident in a video taken from a video camera." I am basing my comment on most of the other comments. Like yours.

  • @EyeOnTheDog Why are you putting quoting things I never said. Do you know what a quote is? They are used to re-state what somebody said. You're trying to sound smart and you just look like an idiot.

  • So, you guys are Eurotrash, huh? How's that working out for you?

  • @Monkeycee31 eurotrash? Americas gdp 14 trillion europes gdp 16 trillion. Highest standard of living in the world- norway.

  • So, you guys are Eurotrash, huh? How's that working out for you?

  • its time to end qualified immunity when a cop so grossly violates civil rights, he need to be sued personally

  • The Police violated federal Law, they have no authority to detain a citezen unless they have a reasonable suspicion that that person has broken a law is breaking a law of has broken the law. A hunch is NOT a reason to detain a american. IF they legally detain a person that person is ONLY required to state there name they do not have to spell it. A person has a right to remain silent otherwise. THIS IS AMERICA NOT NAZI GERMANY> THes officers violated federal law in my opinion.

  • Try pulling that "we're just looking for lunch" shit in the South Bronx.

  • Fight The Power! Don't Let The Man Keep You Down!

  • What a brainwashed slave this stupid cop is.

  • Mountain, Molehill

  • I grew up next to KJ and Im not the least surprised at this situation. It is known that you are not allowed in this village.I accidentally took a wrong turn into this village and was immediately followed and harassed and had things thrown at my car until I was able to turn around and get out! Where was this Peace officer's identification that he was the law? Ive seen this too many times in Monroe.

  • and more from the local news /watch?v=8VOkLdx4Sds

  • and this is what Kiryas Joel is based on /watch?v=R0q0apw585c

  • Lets not forget about the voter fraud that went down in Kiryas Joel.

Just google "Voter fraud found in Kiryas Joel mayoral election"

  • The corruption in that village will continue, until our NYS assembly & senate stop catering to them.

  • basically this satmar community effectively turned a united states town into a religious enclave, which does not live by us constitution. this, in addition to being just plain wrong (they do all get welfare, for which I pay taxes), but also sets an awful precedent - imagine a town in upstate new york like that run by taliban, or - remember Jonestown .. it's disgusting

  • I have a question. Why did these people go to or stop at Kiryas, Joel? Granted, it is a public street, but it is still occupied by a majority of people that, because they are the majority, form a certain way of life. Its kind of like Amish Country. Sure you can go there to grab lunch, but if you turn things into a spectacle, by taking pictures when most people aren't doing things like that, you're going to call attention to yourself. I'm not saying being grabbed is right, but why were you there?

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit We went to Kiryas Joel because it sounded interesting. I've worked for a Hasidic man and know a few things about them. We visited the town with all reasonable efforts to be respectful, including not taking any pictures of people (until the police action, of course). They're not Luddites--they have cameras, and a good number of them work at B&H photo in NYC. So they come to our neighborhood regularly, and we don't call the police saying there are unusual looking people around.

  • @JZwinck Try pulling that "we're just looking for lunch" shit in the South Bronx.

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit

This is America and they had every right to go there and excercise their Constitutional rights.

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit Tell you what, chief.

Let's follow a few residents of Kiryas Joel when they leave the community where the majority of people are clearly just B-flat people walking around and just pull the same shit on them; we all know what their reaction would be.

Why would they leave their enclave in the first place and go where they'd clearly be in the minority, calling attention to themselves?

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit They have every right to go there.

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit why can't they be there? It is a taxed-funded public place. They don't have to have a reason. If they want privacy than they should be private. The comparison to Amish country is invalid- Amish welcome tourists and get big bucks from them. These cultish jews want to suspend the US Constitutional freedoms of a citizens but want the police to only enforce it for them. The whol place should be burned to the ground.

  • @TheKiwiBiscuit Good point my man. It's like disrupting something that is completely unnecessary, there's no need for people to cause trouble

  • but listen one they ask ID please..... you got no choice then GIVING it !! then u can try to tell him all your stories he should know for the future......

  • Are you guys trying to tell me that state police officers are inferior in proffesionalism then say the NYPD? Are you nuts? Especially the NYPD who are so scandal -ridden that o don't even know where to start. The NY state troopers are the beat most professional force in the trial state area. Go tell your "rent a cop " stories to your great-great grand mother!

  • Some of this footage was incorporated into a TV segment on Hudson Valley News 12 (paste this after youtube.com): /watch?v=UOqBWIExvlk

  • i guess u cant mess with any officails......

  • @mrlevija I don't think we "messed with" them--certainly Moses left no time for us to even contemplate any such thing before he demanded our ID. If you think it's reasonable for people to be asked for ID on the street because they look like they live somewhere else, that's up to you, but I don't think it's normal or OK.

  • Retain attorney Michael H. Sussman, Esq. of Goshen, New York (845) 294-3991 and dont settle for anything but a trial and make sure to have the most media attention, thats the way you will be able defead them plus have some money in your pocket for the rest of your life, you have no idea how much support you will have from inside the community of Kiryas Joel there are a few pending lawsuits because of this, don't settle for anything less.

  • I guess next time you go out to instigate, you'll actually lookup the law.

  • @yossiea Which law are you referring to?

  • @yossiea Please read the wikipedia page on "Stop and identify statutes." In particular, it refers to "persons reasonably suspected of involvement in a crime." Clearly no crime had been committed when Moses approached us. It also says that "Police may briefly detain a person if they have reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime." What would the crime have been? Taking pictures of buildings in public view is not a crime.

  • @JZwinck If he was called because someone thought you were acting suspicious then that's reasonable for him to ask for your ID. There are a lot more things to go after KJ for, but if you were in my neighborhood just snapping pictures, then I might also call the police to just let them know.

  • @yossiea If I called the police for everyone in my neighborhood taking pictures then I would never get off the phone. It is ridiculous to think that you should be harassed for just walking down a public street.

  • @shtylman That's the difference between living in Manhattan and living in a suburb.

  • @yossiea I grew up in the suburbs and we too had through streets. Plenty of people walk on those and are not stopped by the police. The difference isn't Manhattan vs suburb here; it is that we were profiled because we did not fit the description of a typical person in the community. Not that we committed a crime or interacted with anyone. We were minding out own business as we walked to get food.

  • @yossiea THE scotus does NOT say that, it says they are required to state there name if they are being detained NO where does is say they have to have ID you do not know what your talking about. THE police has NO articulable suspicion that a crime had been committed was being committed or was about to be committed A hunch is not a reason to detain a American. TO ask for a name they must have lawful reason to detain the person ,THEY DID NOT they violated federal law.

  • @yossiea What about probable cause? Your an ass-hat and so is this trooper. I have been a LEO for 25+ years. THIS WAS WRONG!!!! What this jerk-off "public safety officer" (he does NOT have the powers of a LEO) did is ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL. That goes double for the ass-clown trooper. This trooper should be on a post in the forest on the Canadian border. He's DANGEROUS! So, are idiots like you. I hope these kids take NYSP and the ass-wipe "public safety officer" to the cleaners.

  • In my day, we called state troopers "rent a cops." It's obvious that this force is in the pocket of the Satmar cult. It's also ironic that the people who endured the Gestapo would conduct their community in a similar fashion. Disgusting. Also, why does the pig hand over the I.D.s to the "peace officer"? I wouldn't want an unofficial person looking over my info. Someone has got to tell these freaks that they live in America, and must abide by the laws and constitution. I hope they sue.
