i have a 97 F150 and a 97 1500 Z71. the ford has 198,534 ,iles on it. motor blew out. The 1500 still runs with 286,547 miles on it. no major problems. I also have a 99 GMC sierra van with 300,758 miles on it. Runs strong and goes strong. chevy and GM has the ride and durabillity and ford has a piece of shit. i drive a tundra but i still use the other 3 vehicles. toyota pretty good too.

Im 20 and had 2 trucks. one chevy. one ford. ford was a 1994 F150, 5.0, auto, 4x4. had 345,xxx miles on it. original motor, original transmission. rearend went out at 295,xxx cause of me being a dumbass. sold the truck and it was still going strong. however, owned a 1997 chevy 1500, 350, auto 4x4. 197,xxx miles. first went the ICM, then the starter, then the transmission. i left it on the interstate. and fixed the F100. still driving the f100. which had been sitting for 8 years. $297 to fix it.
