@kokinoob To me they are basically the SAME goddamn song, The only difference is the language. The Tempo is the same, the enunciation, even the vocal range of the singers. Personally it's a matter of reference

(I.e., the English version is very over-produced whereas this one the voice sounds more natural) So yes they're based on the same song...but they sound completely different. Obviously the tempo will be the same if it's the same song.

@WeAretheWalrii The writing is exactly the same, has the same rhthm and song structure, the ONLY difference, is that the temple is faster and again like you said the Latter is overproduced (Which is understandable, since Dragon Ball is an early 80's Anime, that wasn't translated until the early 2000's, the Production makes sense with the times. I gauranteed if the song was made in th same time it would sound the same. Again that's why I said it's a matter of preference.

@MrKennyWilliams of course the rhythm and song structure are going to be the same...I mean it's supposed to be the same song "translated" into English. However, the instrumentation is different as I said before. The instruments in this one are synthesized (other than the strings/orchestra) and gives it that 80's jpop feel. The English one has a more typical band (bass, drums, guitar, vocals). I personally prefer the original version to the English one, just sounds better to me.

@WeAretheWalrii Different instrumentation doesn't make a different song, Just a Different sound. In this case again, I say it's because of the time the song was Created the Original in the 80's and the American one Mid 2000's The sound Difference is MERELY a sign of the times.

To Clarify I am a fan of the Japanese one more.

I initially responded to your comment stating that there was NO difference besides the language in the two songs, when in fact, they are two distinctly different-sounding songs. That's the point I was making - they sound different due to instrumentation, and people like you and me prefer the original over the newer one because of that difference.

Is it better...no But it's good in it's own right. I still believe if the japanese version was made around the same time It would sound just Like the Newer American Version.

Well the ORIGINAL Dragon Box was of Dragon Ball and not Z. But that was never brought to the US or anywhere other than Asia really.

@iownage4youi Hiragana and Katakana aren't bad because they're just syllables, but Kanji is definitely where you'll have troubles. Thousands of them, they all mean something, and have at least two pronunciations each. If you really want to, it's definitely worth it, but make sure you have a good source to learn from. I only had my four years of high school to learn the little I know, and it saddens me when I think about how I might never have a chance to be fluent.

the translation from japanese to spanish is the same as well the content in the whole series in dragon ball, dbz and gt, the version translated in english is really bad and also the english version have a lot of cut scenes that in japanese and spanish dont, i beliave is because in the US have a lot of censor in hot scenes and words, because actually dragon ball has some adult content that a child would not understand but anyways they cutted it...is a great cartoon ..i love it!!

It may be an from China or some other region of Asia that is not japan, Asia uses PAL so it makes things seem sped up and sound higher pitched, while Japan like us uses NTSC.
