  • IT REMINDS ME OF OLD TIMES

  • I've tried Sinatra and Buble and a few others. This is the one I keep coming back to.

  • A zillion times better than Michel Buble who only copies the great singers of the past with less feeling.

I saw Ricky live and he was great!

  • i had never heard this song until the other day .and I instantly fell in love with it. my favorite by ricky nelson .

  • i love this song,it makes me cry.i would love my dad to sing this for my hubby to be and i at our wedding in march.i would love to know if anyone knows where i can get the audio for this version,as its the best. thank you so much for putting this on stefiexo, its beautiful.

  • The best version of this song was by Edie Adams. This was on the last episode of the I Love Lucy Show. Available on You Tube

  • beautiful song beautifully sung!

  • I just got another thought from a poster above. Why would the Nelson Twins would want to "Lock Up" their Dad's Music? I think if Dad was alive today, he would not go along with it. "Copywright infringement"? Give me a break. Now, I was not an adult when he was big, in fact, I wasn't born until 1964, but these songs bring back timeless memories of being around my family when I was just a little tot. Please Fellas, leave your Dad's Music out there for us to enjoy.

  • stefiexo,

I love listening to this pre-british invasion music. It takes me back to when I was just a tot, and my father played this music on a big new stereo console. My father is deceased. I'm 47 years old, and I enjoy today's hits, but there is something magic about Ricky Nelson singing these good, slow ballad songs. Takes me back to a time when things were better for me as a little kid in the 60's. You know, sometimes being an adult is a pain in the butt, the way some people are today!

  • WOW !!!! Thankyou. x

  • This is the sweetest love song of all time & Rick(y) did it the best. Miss him.

  • Just Great. Love It !! The Best Version

  • hell yea love this song! =D

  • Absolutely terrific. Thanks

  • Thanks for the post

  • Thanks Rick, for a nice version that was true to the American Songbook. ............... Bobby Darin butchered the song.

  • I've always loved this song...which has been covered by a wide variety of talented performers. But this one is especially enchanting. Perfect for the soft & gentle voice of the late great Rick Nelson. Thank you so VERY much for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! :)

  • love its lyrics with his beautiful voice

  • I remember Janet Briggs one night long ago in Vic Tannys Gym. The moments were beautiful and so was this young beauty queen, Thank you Mr Nelson.

  • i remember when i first heard this song... my soulmate sang this to me and i couldn't help but cry... i love you so much Baby!

    That's all...

  • Thanks for sharing this video.

    Cheers

  • Soft and mellow as it is, this song was well-loved by me.. thanks for the upload.

  • I heard this song from Adam Sandler's movie, The Wedding singer... its pretty cute song though

  • Sinatra's version is much more emotional. This doesn't sound like Ricky Nelson means it.

  • I've been with my girlfriend for 6 years now, she's my high school sweetheart and we live in north England. My plan in a few years is to take her to the mountain tops of Monte Carlo with a bottle of champagne and my guitar and sing this to her in the moonlight and then ask her for her hand in marriage. I know she loves swing music and loves to be romantic and this is the perfect way to propose to her, whilst doing what I love. Singing :)

  • That is so romantic!!! There is no way she can say no.

  • @JohnnyJay1987 Life is fleeting...go get her, Dude!

  • I've learnt the Michael Buble version, which has it's differences. Both versions of the song have unique features and differences in my opinion.

Now I'm 21 years old, and I've learnt the Buble version down to a tee, I can sing it with my strong swing voice perfectly and I think the song is beautiful and I have plans for it.

  • I would love to find an instrumental of this particular version because I do a good impression of him...

This is the version I grew up listening to, and nobody else's can hold a candle to it, in my opinion. Thanks for posting it!

  • my favorite Ricky song.....and the best version of it, period.

  • Thanks for the post!

  • My favorite rendition of That's All! Ricky's wonderful voice beats all!

Nelson Memories alive. Does his sons

    play guitar and sing?

  • CHUCHU7S: Yes, Matthew and Gunner had their own very successful (but rather brief) careers in the early 1990s, and even had a number one song called "(I Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection." Great song; maybe it's here at YouTube.

  • Tre404, Thanks for your reply and yes

I found their song here on Youtube.

It's so nice to see his twin boys and singing their dad, Ricky Nelson songs

Ricky still lives on with his Sons

    Thanks again chuchu 7s

  • Enjoy it while you can guys. Looks like maybe some old record company or the Nelson twins are removing songs for copyright infringement, etc. C'mon guys!! I'm poor! Let me hear this incredible voice. They never play it on the radio!

  • They always play this song on the lake 102.7 ! my mom is like inlove with that station cuz it always plays older music. lol

  • @stefiexo 98.1 plays pritty old music but not this song

  • @nauort23 -They remove the songs to make you have to buy the albums.

  • This is the nicest rendition of this song that I have ever heard. To me, it beats Sinatra and Buble's versions. Thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful Song!!! Ricky Nelson had such a Beautiful Voice! Thanks soo much for posting this Beautiful Song
