it dont matter what kind of top water lure you use, the one it move frm side to side or the popper.. these bass will hit them all........ this is why i love to use top water lure jux love it when they come up hard and naile the lure

Sammies are great, but when it comes to top water, I like to GO BIG! Lunker Punker or a Propstar bait draw big bites from big fish from long distances!

Ive fished El Salto MANY times and just let me tell you it is a GREAT lake! and there are many days out there that are just like this day on the video but there are days when its BAD and 8 hours on the water =less the 10 fish and ive had days of 140 plus fish and a AVG weight of about 4LBS

Love the action! Luckycraft sammy sometimes is the ONLY lure I'd use for hours on my trips just hoping for awesome topwater action. Pointer series are awesome, too. Sorry if I missed this, but what size is the sammy he's using? Great video!

Hey illicit0 - I talked with Joe and he said he was using a Sammy 115 in Aurora Brown fished on 17lb Trilene XT line... Hope this helps.

Ive fished Sammies on pressured waters with great success, but on a lake like El Salto thats pretty famous for having HUGE fish, why not use a lunker punker?! I'd rather go for those trophy size fish in a trophy lake....but that might just be me. My local lake rarely produces a fish over 5 lbs :S
