  • HEAVY METAL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! YOU FUCKING TECHNOCRATS,HEAVY METAL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • just one of the best.."warriors" .. bbc sessions 1976...aint live, but fuckin does it for me..

  • photo of the best line-up. Robbo is one of the UK's forgotten great rock guitarists. Gorham is one of the coolest fellas I've ever seen interviewed.

  • just listen that fuckin guitar man!!!!

  • the coolest band in the whole fucken world !!!YEHH!!

  • this sounds like an iron maiden song. 1 more reason why they were way ahead of their time. long live thin lizzy!

  • @xombieBeast13 LOL Where do you think Iron Maiden got their inspiration? Ever wonder how many times Steve Harris saw Lizzy growing up? And why do you think he has (or has had) a mirrored pick guard on HIS bass... Philip Lynott, that's why!

  • this whole song is awesome, but 2:00 to the end is what to 70s was all about, hands down!

  • @znuto fuck the 70's ,bring it BACK!!!

  • Love the last section of this.

  • 70s music had such a great balance. This song has a great bottom to it. The use of the bass is just perfect

  • What about Mr Gorham. The real member, all the time & still. You always forgot him.

  • ´that massive base.. by Mr Lynott.

  • Would love to find the album that this was on, as TL's BBC sessions were extremely rare - and extremely good. Case in point: the first "Peel Sessions" album, and that particular cut of "Whiskey in the Jar" is nothing short of spectacular.

  • Thanks blacksabfan for all your great Lizzy, Sabs, Gallagher etc uploads - guitanorak

  • I agree Downey is awesome

  • what wanker didnt like this song ?

  • @furyen1976 there's always gonna be some berk who comes across a video on accident and then thinks they have an opinion on it, no sane rock lover would ever thumb this down... probably a GaGa fan.

  • @furyen1976 you got me m8 but yeah what a cock this version is the nuts!!!

  • Beyond talented these guys played like the rent was due!! The drumming is off the charts, but the guitars are just so crunchy and venomous that I need to press replay again.

  • 12.02.1976

  • Love this version, can't beat that pounding bass! For those into their history, this was recorded on 12 February 1976.

  • now thats what im talkin bout!!

  • where can i find this mp3, or any of the other tracks from this BBC session?

  • Very loose version and all the better for it.

  • i can't stop listening to this Robbo is hugely underated just adore him and his guitar - everytime i saw them live he never played the same solo twice always different which were amazing - miss Lizzy so much.....

  • @alilizzyrussell Robbo now lives in my hometown he did an interview in the local rag

  • Listen to that thumping bass.....

  • I don't know what to say . . .I am so pumped after hearing this one !!

  • this song should have been on one of there concert videos its one of there best

  • yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thin lizzy are so bad when it comes to being good.......thin lizzy is probably one of the greatest bands of the 70s

  • Don't forgett Black sabbath and deep purple :) but if i had to choice i take Thin Lizzy cause i love the boys are back in town and cowboy song

  • Fierce guitars!! my God!

  • This just sounds so mean... :o)#

  • This is great

  • this band are the heaviest fuckers ever

  • I hear Hendrix....But then again most people couldn't really hear Hendrix ...lmao

  • What if...Rory Gallagher had joined Thin Lizzy...! Now that would have blown some minds....I doubt Rory would have...but just what if?!!!

  • Gotta' agree w/ previous posts, Brian Downey is in my top ten, he was so tight w/ Phil...........

  • My god! Fuckin' awesome, shivers!

  • I have come back to this recording a few times now and the thing I like the most about it, is the very real period capture in the recording. It is so obviously around the time of the Jailbreak album that it almost has a more real live capture of Lizzy at that time than L&D offers. Brilliant! Jailbreak was always my favorite album.

  • I am the messenger, message here you all must know. I am the Warrior.

  • @Xripulipaska "I deliver the fatal blow..."

  • The studio solo of this song is the most fucking orgasmic solo I've ever heard

  • I totally agree man, together with Emerald, Suicide ,and Don't Believe a word are some of the best solos in rock music!

  • I am the Warrior

  • A world class song,..by anyones standards,...

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again. Downey is amongst the best drummers on the planet (my personal all time fave) and so underrated Thanks Ry for a superb post as per usual :)

  • Well said bro! Downey is exceptional, how he is not better known stumps me. Listen to 'Sha la la' from Nightlife or Live & Dangerous and then name me a better double kick drummer! . . . the guy just did not miss a beat. Awesome

  • yeah sha la la is a perfect example! the drum solo would knock ur socks off!

  • Downey could *swing* better than ANY other rock drummer I know. Listen to "For Those Who Love to Live" for a good example, or even the much-derided "Fats" from "Renegade."

Like Lizzy itself, Downey was criminally underrated.

  • that band was tight.

    bought that record in 79.

  • best song yo!

  • This is the best ending to a song ever. From 2.50 onwards.

  • Cool,I never got into TL that much but it seems that I should.

  • Yes you should. Especially of you love the ROCK!!!

  • THE BEST BAND EVER!! RIP PHILO

  • I fuck even hotter HOES

  • I fuck hot Bitches to this song!

  • Sounds like a plan.

  • Is that Robertsons part of the solo starting at 2:33?

  • Nope. Robbo's the only one playing a solo on this song. See Live & Dangerous version of this song.

  • I love it all. R I P Phil Lynott, missed my millions.

  • Oh My God , never hesrd this before , cool above fucking cool

    Phil RIP

  • THE BEST,and that is it..

  • i love the fucking bass

phil kicks fucking ass(ecspecialy glen danzigs)

  • I always loved this song but this version is a killer,I like the way Brian Robertson plays the solo here better than the one on Live & Dangerous album, awesome version,5***** & a Favorite, thnx for sharing this gem man!

  • Huh?! The version on Live & Dangerous is just the most killer solo!

  • There is no better solo than the one magically recorded on the studio version of Warriors, end of story!

  • Ye, it's pretty good. But the solo from Live & Dangerous just has that amazing energy to it.

  • If anyone on the uk is interested in these demo/session tracks i can send a data dvd of flac files with all the stuff i have. Its stuff from 69-83 and its all good stuff, and most in pretty good quality.

  • I'd be very interested, but how would you go about it. I've got the 'Peel Sessions' CD, and this doesn't seem to be the same version of Warriors, but I like it better - are there other versions?

  • Flippin incredible!

  • Forgive me for saying so, but --

    shhhhhhhhhhhhh-EEEEEEEEEEEE--yhut! Just, damn.

    These guys were INCOMPARABLE.

  • Brillitastic!!

  • Just awesome! Keep putting some other cool songs on the channel.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Brilliant.
