i got my copy of this a few months ago and it's a beautiful dvd. sure danko teaches a few basslines(wich are great and helpfull) but to me just seeing him sitting there, talking about music and just jamming really made me appriciate him as a person even more. i live in holland and had to wait alsmost 5 months before this dvd came in(had to be shipped from the states) but i'm glad i waited al those months.....

Rest in Peace Rick.

I just watched The Last Waltz a month ago and now I'm obsessed with The Band and especially Rick Danko. My parents brought an album home but because they looked so shaggy (mustof been the self-titled album) I didn't get into them like I did the Beatles. Theyt seem like the greatest super-band that never was.

@LocalRailfan he was a great guy very very funny! very personable a good friend to all that knew him. We were on our way up to Woodstock for his birthday party when we got the call that he was gone. the last time I saw him was 6 months before down here on Long Island. There wasnt a dry eye around Woodstock , Saugerties or the surrounding area, he deeply affected all he met. I miss him.
