  • what do the first two dots from the left mean?:| sorry. i'm new :(

  • Thank you so much! You're an exellent teacher! :)

  • is there a tutorial WITHOUT the capo? i dont think he uses a capo in the actual song...

  • @Sprazzler he does

  • @Sprazzler Then you have to tune down

  • @Sprazzler I've just this second watched Noel Gallagher play this. He does use a capo!

  • @nilovroman

i treid it at my school it didnt work :(

  • Great lesson, thanks!

  • Awesome tutorial!

  • cool... thanks!

  • bravo! ^^

  • very good !

  • @nilovroman CollegeHumor FTW

  • what's the strumming pattern for this song? great vid!

  • I just bought a Kyser capo for this song. it was NOT $10. It was $24.95!!!!!!

  • @TheLostRealist513 Mine Kyser cap was $25 too

  • @TheLostRealist513

That's probably because you bought the Capo brand Kyser and not a 10$ Kayser "type" capo (made in china) I got one and got for 9.99$

  • @nilovroman Its not about the guitar to get laid man. Its about the music man.

  • the part with the dots is incorrect, you should mark your Capo with a black barBarline en rotate it 180 But nice vid though :D Thanx

  • @broodzakje07 that's right it's quite confusing the way it is now i couldn't understnd it when i first saw it

  • oh, I like it!

  • Oh my GOD!

    really good)))))

    thanks))

  • 1:00 ...spend the extra bucks and get a good one... i believe this one cost 10 dollars. LMAO

  • gracis

  • nice tutorial..like it..did a cover of the song..please ckeck it out and comment:)

  • awesome! i only nd 1hour to learn it wit u dude! that is awesome! thx

  • hahaha funny cdomment , i came to that stage long time ago

  • just learn the chords and you will just feel what's right. it's not that important to get it perfect. just the feel and the vibe. this guys alright, i learned this lesson in about a half hour. now i'm gonna play along with the real video till i nail it. im gonna play it it for a girl i dig.

  • @DaimyoHirai "not that important to get it perfect"?? If you don't get the rhythm down tight, it's not going to sound good at all. Learning the half ass way will generate piss poor results.

  • great lesson

  • who can tell me how i play the firs, second, third and fourth part ? :D

  • who can tell me how i play the part 1,2,3 and 4 :D

  • @betoman96 I can tell you that the diagram is A++ backwards.

  • I had to watch it a few times to get the strumming pattern and when to switch cords but it should go something like this..

DDD DU (Switch)UD D DU (Switch)DDD DU (Switch)UD D DU (Switch) DDD DU (Repeat)

  • lol what he looks like Tony hawk O_O

  • can you say about your strumming like down down down down.up ......

  • @allysabc huh?

  • @TheAustinWalls nevermind i ment ginger

  • not complete.

  • Strumming part 3 ???

  • Up until three days ago I never owned nor could I play guitar... I can now play Wonderwall (although not perfect but nothing practice won't cure) Of all the tutorials I viewed yours is the most logical and easy to follow... Thanks

  • shit

  • At part 3, does the strumming change?

    Thx!!!

  • what happen if u dont have a capo?

  • @krunchbittersweet

It will not sound like wonderwall...

  • @krunchbittersweet

just play in a different key. move what you learned down 2 frets

  • You can bar a pencil across the fret and hold it on by rubber bands. The bands go around the back of the neck and hook around the ends of the pencil.

  • this was a great lesson. much better than most i've tried on youtube. thank you for doing this.

  • a Capo is pronouced either way it doesnt matter ...CAY-PO sounds much better to say

the other way sounds like ur trying to say it with a fake accent (unless u have a real accent)

  • i think its better you flip the neck part...

    its better for leftys

  • thanks for the vid

why not flip the neck part with dots so it looks right

  • thank you very much :)

  • its harder than it looks

  • thank you very much!!!!

  • nhhaaa u suck

  • yea....it will just not be in tune...it will sound weird....just buy d capo man...its like 10 to 20 bucks

  • Dont mean to be rude but that Taylor doesn't sound nearly as good as I thought it would. Is that because of the recording? Sounds super flat - are your strings very old or something?

  • thanks. You helped me. very !!

I'm so happy to know playing this song on my guitar !!

You really are the best lesson

  • good lesson. i don't like the diagrams though. would be better if you said the names of the chords

  • you helped me alot! im from england and this is the best tutorial ive found thanks mate :) subscribed and faved

    5 stars!

  • really good

  • Thanks for the video

  • wouah ! thank you very much ! it really helped me !

  • what are the chords for the bridge?

  • IT's REaly the best guitar lesson in the internet

  • omg... this is the best guitar lesson on the internet

  • The strokes in the demo section of the pre chord and the instructional section don't match.

  • Comment removed

  • thanks man that helped more then the rest of these guys...thanks!!!

  • goodluck haha

  • fucking lol legend

  • very good thanks, only a self taught player and this is by far the easiest tune iv tried so far! would have been nice to hear you play the whole thing through though

  • Its called a metronome.... thats the sound u noob.

  • agree with jepmue

  • Easily the best tutorial I've watched for this song. Can't find fault with it. Excellent.

  • thanks a couldn't get the hang of the struming thing

  • easy but hard to remember!!!

  • good job thanks

  • Really good however I can't get the order right.

Can someone list how many times each has to be played please. It's hard listening to the mp3 'cos the violins. 5 stars btw.

  • Does anyone know how to download the MP3 file if you want to play the guitar part?

  • LMAO, good tut, but I couldn't stop lauching at

    0:32

  • thats hot

  • Excellent well done lesson! Split into easy to understand parts! Keep up the good work chief!!

  • thanks for your lesson

  • thanks dude, you've helped me alot:D

  • is the strumming same for the other parts of the song?

  • THANKS YOU!!!!!!!!

  • this video is all i needed to learn this song ! Thanks

  • i dont get why ur fingers dont match the lil box to the right showing ur finger placements.

  • Those left most dots in the diagram represent the capo'd notes played as open strings. The rest of the dots are his fingers on the strings.

  • that was a reaallly good vid man there were a few mistakes that i noticed to but stil waaaayy better than alot of other vids cause u actually show really well all the finger placements thx realy helped!

  • I've noticed that it is very hard to memorize the strumming pattern of this song I find it easier just getting into the groove of the song.

  • does anybody know a truly correct way to play because every tutor just explains their version um before i make my own i would like to play the oasis one lol still a good lesson, but hard to get over the flaws

  • yes! does anybody knows the genuine pattern by oasis? cause i'm a beginner and i just can't guess it!! please!!

  • down down down down up

(down) up down down down up

    down !up! down down down

up up up down up down up

(down): (this means u grab the chord but dont pick it)

!up!: this means that the auther of the lesson left that stroke out

thats how i hear the rythm in the instrumental and official version. its kind of hard because its fast. and for the right sounds the chord switches also include that the first strum of the main riffs third and fourth chord is played with the moving finger still in midair

  • its not exactly like in the official version, one chord is missing in the main riff

  • wtf after the update more thn half of the gogod vids are gone! thats fukin gay!

  • OMG Best lesson ever!

  • excellent

  • Comment removed

  • I dont have a capo but It still sounds good :P :D

  • yeah but that so called prick knows what he is on about, so shut up and dont bother watching!

  • bottom left is wierd, I don't get that graph...just write out the chords instead. I'm confused about the Asus4 A7sus4 deal.

  • Thank you SOO much! I can finally play it :D :D

  • amazing lesson

  • THANX MAN!! IT HELPED ME !!! :o))

  • Oasis!! my local band :)

  • thanx man that was alota help....

  • is that a unicorn in the background?

  • Your good man thanks helped me a bit :D

  • the strum pattern its the same in the entire song?

    really good video

  • it changes slightly in the build up to da chorus ya no the 'there are many things that i would like to say to u' bit!

  • Finally a plausible and first of all a complete description of the song. Thank you very ver much. After a 6 year interruption of playing, now I started again. And this is my 1st song to learn, now. I noticed that it is very hard to play and sing at once. so that´s my next thing to deal with. (I think I´m gonna post my version if I got it! :-) )

So thx again for the great vid man.

  • thx for the help

  • this is a car i think

  • wots that noise at 0:43

  • down down down down up

down up down down down up

    down down down down

up up up down up down up

  • larhwelan has the correct pattern for this song.

  • larwhelan, but i guess the 4th row starts with only 2x "up". i hsaw the version with 3 "ups", too first, but i guess this here is the right one what this guy says. what do you mean?

  • its 3 upstrums just listen to da song and yal hear eh! i havn watched dis video in a while and im kinda busy but im pretty sure hel tell ya te do 3 upstrums

  • is it every time down down down down up (next chord) up down down down up??? if u know it could u say it to me please ??

  • its that a taylor

  • im only a beginner but ive watched a few wonderwall videos and most seem to play an extra down stroke on the 2nd chord! is your way right or is theirs?

  • you mean an extra down stroke as the first strum of the 2nd chord, right? thats the same way I figured out, too. and I think he´s playing it this way, too. playing a bit diffrent from the close-up explanation.

  • you mean an extra down stroke as the first strum of the 2nd chord, right? thats the same way I figured out, too. and I think he´s playing it this way, too. playing a bit diffrent from the close-up explanation.

  • yeah the strumming pattern i have put below is in 4 lines each 1 is a chord! ya start the g on a downstrum!

  • Fix your diagram it is all screwed up

you got the wrong cords listed

  • This lesson's missing a vital part;

"and all the roads nananananana are winding" and so on.

  • caypo :L:L:L

  • It's just one thing that I don't understand.. The first thing we learn is the verse, right. Then the pre-chorus. And last the chorus. But what's the third part? When do I play that?

Verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse2, pre-chorus, chorus, verse3, chorus? Is that how to play the song?

    3part?

  • Great lesson!

    Very clear Thanks!

  • i totally understand now! yay! thanks :)

  • tooooo hard........ :(

  • jay cheers that's a great teaching video! really helps us learners!! thanks from rainy Ireland

  • 10 bugs for that capo ! i got Ripped off !

  • hey im a begginner and i've got all the cord's down right just cant seem to get the struming pattern right plz help if you can.

  • To get a strumming pattern correctly just go up and down up and down first, then try to play it with the song, keep practising u will see, with up and down....u will catch every strumming easily! ;-)

  • ouch hearts after a while

  • Thx...

    Nice work!!

Does the strumming pattern goes through the whole song unchanged??

So the pre-chorus and chorus uses the same 4 strum-patterns??

If that is sorted out, this is a perfect example for how people should post video-lessons.

thx a lot... Already played the first part quickly, sounds great. Gonna play the rest tomorrow... thx

  • You know..... since i don't have money to buy a capo, i'm using a small vice thingy and a small peice of wood. Works fine! lol

  • really nice vid ...thx for uploading it.

  • Thanks that was really helpful=D
