  • For all of the haters and critics...I have nothing but the deepest respect for George Harrison's work, and I also respect Carlos Santana's work. I think you're being especially childish to say the things you've said in comparing Carlos with George or Clapton, or even Frampton. This performance kicks the ass of the Live performance by George himself which is right over there in the related video links ---> so STFU and grow the hell up. Carlos and Indie RAWKED this tune!!!

  • I'm sorry, I like Santana very much but this is just bad. I honestly almost hate this version.

  • WHY the fuck does Santana SHRED in EVERYTHING. Fuck lol i respect him but i hate him at the same time ahaha

  • what is the name of the singer in a mini skirt that came ? :)

    thanks !

  • Not Santana's prime job, to be hones since George is my favorite beatle, I feel offended in his name!

  • Toto's version wins....

  • santana's good but doesn't come close to Harrison

  • @marcoennickcool Or Clapton. Or Peter Frampton.

  • @BoredomCorner true but Harrison is my hero

  • they cut the fucking solo

  • una cagata mostruosa..........

  • i luv this song but i wish he would have done martin luthers verison from the aross the universe movie his song wasnt even on the soundtrack standout arist check him out at rebel soul music.com

  • 350 know music the others 10 are justin bieber fan or dont know anything about music

  • esta cortado hijo de perra! como se fueron a la concha loco..

  • Maravilhosa.

  • See Carlos standing there like " who needs a twin-neck guitar?" he's the man

  • Great version of the song but no one can bet

    Harrisons <3

  • 2:32 epic dance from santana :D

  • I love how everything here looks like they're casting a spell. Beautiful...

can anyone honestly pick a Santana song they didn't like???

  • i can't think of a song Santana did that i didn't like...

  • Santana's magic hits again!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!

  • Fabulosa, a melhor do século. Bravíssimo. Carmelinho.

  • n

    mais ou est santana ?!!!!

  • What a lovely version of this song!! Santana is a beast....'Nuff said.

  • what trademark is that guitar??

  • im not a fan of indie arie with this. but he's a great musician.

  • nice

  • A good Cover...just has to be performance by a good musician...

  • George gave us a gift with this song.....this version is a hunble and beautiful thanks. I love it.

  • Santana is a God's product and his music represents that aspect. RIP George Harison

  • lenos the man...

  • India Arie is my girl!!!

  • LOVE HER DRESS. and the song. But that doesn't look like Yo Yo Ma. Could just be a bad shot though.

  • we didn't watch the original Tonight Show presentation but there's something wrong with: 2m25s on this video. We're 98% certain that the solo there was cut, not only because of the harmony's structure, but also from the solo's "story" which makes no sense from 2m22s to 2m26s. Anyone catch that?

  • @BlocoDeBolso most likely something to do with time constraints because the original album version is about 6 minutes that means live its about 9 but for tv it gotta be 5 or less either that or he totally butchered the solo lol but santana!!!!!!!!!naw.......

  • george rip, rimani il migliore dei beatles

  • Fabulous cover of a very beautiful song! congrats to Santana and India!

  • Fabulous cover of a very beautiful song! congrats to Santana and India!

  • India ha una voce che fa pauraaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! adoro questa canzone!!

  • This is not one of Carlos better moments. Feels like he is just playing notes off the scale. Not very creative.

  • I love Santana and India.arie but this is not one of the best live version ever, to be honest.

  • @bluesfun i dont think india is very good at doing live, but i'm a super huge fan of hers. Great recording, great lyrics

  • LOVE this...it's so beautiful!

  • the version of Steve Lukather is a N.1... but this is a very nice

  • Am I the only one who think's Carlos Santana blows? Everything I've heard from him in the last 10 years is superfluous, banal, rubbish.

  • @GrimsditchImages yea man i think ur the only one this song is a master piece even you like santana or not is a jewel.

  • Grazie George Harrison.

  • Esta musica é maravilhosa, trouxe grande alegria para o meu coração.

  • This is a great cover of the original. Anything Santana does is awesome!

  • Awesome... Hear my favorite song of all time played like that is deeply emotional...

  • I love this song. I heard it 1st on DWTS & thought it was very nice. I couldn't get it out of my head. Beautiful. India is my favorite female singer. No one compared to her. She has this realness, calm, purity & pleasentness about her.

  • @myhappyness1 I heard it on Sirius and wasn't sure about Santana nor YoYo Ma,...but I knew India's voice! You're absolutely correct about her calmness. She's sooo confident it's insane. Oh yeah, she's sooo underappreciated! Fan of her's for life.

  • @astrogliding I'm a fan for life also!!!! I will purchase every cd she presents to the music industry.

  • @astrogliding when i heard this on the radio i was sure it's india too

  • How could the work of three icredibly talented artists come out so bland.

  • ....and I think, this is a very good example, that an interpretation without a certain

authenticity doesn't work; even by wonderfull musicians like India & Carlos!!!

  • I love India.arie, I love Carlos Santana, this song is one of the greatest songs ever,

but "This Interpretation", I'm sorry, was nothing!

  • love the way she sings this song. she has a lovely mysterious vocal

  • This is so damn beautiful :D

  • Carlos looks younger here than he has in years.

  • Awesome, but I still prefer George harrison & clapton version.

    Cheers.

  • @PlasticC4

cos the original is always the best

  • i recon santana is way better than jimmy hendrix

  • So we are all clear on this - George Harrison wrote this when he was with the 'Beatles' and can be found one of their best albums the Double White album. However, he did make a cover version MANY years later with Eric Clapton.

  • wierd ass hand motions

  • whats the name of tht acoustic guitar he uses?? it looks awesome!

  • Perfect! Absolutely perfect!

  • beautiful..india arie is awesome singing the classic and santana is just classic..he's the man.

  • simple Brilliant......... ;-)

  • Niente di nuovo, ma lei è brava

  • i disagree! I think it is just phenomenal!

  • not so great of a cover of this song

  • ♥ ♥... absolutely phenomenal

  • Amazing!

  • Bellissima,George si commuove dall'alto :)

  • I think George would have been happy with this

  • I loved this song, very beautiful, the voice of the singer LINDA too, the arrangements, I get a thrill when I hear a song of this quality .. this guitar solos that excite anyone who is a musician really knows what it feels like the music inside you ... is inexplicable.

  • Spendide

  • excuse you omilio this is a George Harrison song not a frickin commercial for car insurance!

  • Santana is an amazing guitarist, and this is the first time hearing India.Arie ding and she's good too. But I perfer the George Harrison's version much more than this, it seems too busy for me.

  • @omilio You do realize this is a cover of George Harrison and Eric Clapton, right? This was a great cover. I love it.

  • She's a hell of a musical artist, but why the hell is India.Arie jumping around and dancing like a back-up singer?

  • @JayIceColdD - It's called soul and feeling the music.

  • Jay Leno bows down in the presence of God.

  • @MrJulesSA Santana > God

  • excellent song, play and sing are top top class, real weeping

  • that's right leno, bow down in the presence of Carlos Santana

  • long live to George Harrison and Santana

  • This is the hit of the great album, hear also the breathtaking break on "Whole Lotta Love", it's like the guitar solo on "Toussaint L'Overture",on the SANTANA 3 album.

  • Guitarroso demais, fantástico maravilhoso, bom demais........Du Brésil nossos saludos.....

  • maravilhoso

  • Just beautiful...one of my favorite songs of all time. What a lovely interpretation by two incredibly gifted musicians. Love them both! Hats off to them! Wonderful.

  • Great one, these two are of my very favourites, beautiful to hear/see them together.

  • Wow, Indie.Arie is really spritiual around Santana! :) That's a good thing, she's with the right people. She showed some deep emotion and great wisdom in her acts. I love that Santana has always been like that, he's a great person aside from a musician.

  • Yeah, the live performance is never as good as the recorded song. That's ONLY because after the recording, the artists develop their own view for the song. If you here the song, in the album, it's at least 10x better. These 3 artists are amazing!

  • @MTZTayko dude, have you ever been to an santana concert ? live he schreds the curtains off the building man he is always better live than on cd that's why he is still on top of his game at his age than most guitar players.

  • @MTZTayko

    this song is amazing!

    he did george harrison proud.

but one thing, is its not always the record off the album thats better. look at john mayer.

    he's tons better live.

  • @stunner345 Yeah I'll have to agree. Just so you know, though, I didn't mean this was bad live, I loved it! I was just saying... anyway, I've heard other of his live performances on this song and yeah, it's trully great :)

  • woow i really like this song but he had terrible mistakes in 0:53 and 2:25

  • @oscarfc02 I'm sorry, who are you?

  • @oscarfc02 Not a mistake at 2:25 - The video is cut! And the guitar part at 0:53 is soooo not a mistake dude. We are all human not machines, not perfect!!! :)

  • @simonprs YES!!

  • @simonprs YES!! Video is cut!!

  • @oscarfc02 It's called improvisation and interpretation. Musicians like this don't typically make "mistakes"...and if they do, they generally turn it around to make it their own element...you need to think outside the lines sometimes, truly.

  • WHO CARE WHAT THE NEGATIVE IDIOT SAYS, SANTANA IS BADD ASS, JAMMIN TO THE BEATLES EVEN BETTER.

  • Amazing singer !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG ! Perfect to listen with the person we love... making love !!

  • can we all just get along mexico que linda

  • India screws up the lyrics in the first line...... she sucks as much as Carlos.

  • @sitarro55555 DONT HATE THEYRE BOTH GREAT!!

  • @bazzingaification

Hey, if you are that easily pleased, buy their shit. They suck, it has nothing to do with hate. Nice cliche though.

  • @sitarro55555 HAHAAHAHA SIGH yeah genius eh ok suit urself i guess evry1s different !!

  • @sitarro55555 you better be Mexican saying what you did. If not i wish i knew where you live! tell me.... either way Carlos Has your Attention i think he fucked your wife and you hate life

  • I love carlos, but the last seven seconds of this clip sounded better than yall whole performance. 4:46

  • in the original it's Eric Clapton's guitar that is weeping....In this one ....God it's absolutely....shitty

Mr.Leno are out of real good new inventive artists???

  • Has to be one of the best songs on the album her voice sends shivers down your spine

  • what type of acoustic guitar is he playing here?

  • @thetardfactor

One that sounds like shit, probably Mexican made.

  • Whats with all the hate on Santana?? How many of YOU can play like him?? seriously dont talk shit unless you are better which i highly doubt... seriously, lay off

  • Santana used to be a great guitarist, when he actually participated WITH a band of great musicians. Now he is a jerky show off that has nothing but the same spotty, predictable riffs that he stumbles over in every song, it's all about him and whatever trite little crap he wants to throw in a song, whether it belongs or not. He needs to retire to the country he obviously loves, Mexico, and get back to making tacky overpriced shoes, it will be no loss at all to the United states....

  • @sitarro55555 Really?

How about you escort him to Mexico yourself, and see if you make it out alive.

Let's see if you have the balls to say that in Mexico.

  • @Lisimal

I was thrown out of that shit country in 1976 and was told never to come back, it hasn't been a problem for me. That doesn't help Santana be a better guitar player. His time is over, he sucks and screws up any song he attempts to play. As for India, there are a million backup singers that make her sound like shit, she ruins this song with her awful voice.

Oh and lismal, I have no doubt that I would be murdered by the hoards of uncivilized racist trash that populate that shit hole.

  • did they seriously cut his solo in half?

  • @DavidGilmourrocks

Who could possibly care about another of thousands of weak ass "solos" by Carlos Santana......... Neal Schon kicked his ass when he was 17 years old and shits with more rhythm than Carlos has ever possessed.

  • @sitarro55555

Lol im just saying the cut is very awkward to us musicians. Well santana has found a formula and hes sticking to it, nigga likes his money. Id do that shit too if i could. Early ass santana records studio and live really show case santanas rhythm. Schons not even that good. A million other guitarist are way better than hell ever be.

  • @DavidGilmourrocks

Schon's not even that good????? Have you listened to any of his solo work?

  • @sitarro55555

yeah i have. but look lets just agree that Greg rollie is a beast. deal?

  • @DavidGilmourrocks

I'll agree with that, after Caravanserai, the band and Carlos were never the same. I did like the Moonflower period and of course Tom Coster but Carlos has an amazing way of losing people that take any of the spotlight away from him.

  • Comment removed

  • of course this isnt the best in comparison to the original but Santana is still one of the greatest guitar players and India Arie's vocals gives the song a soothing quality to it.

  • @ToneFlores George Harrisons live versions are much better

  • Wacth Toto´s and compare...

  • Ugh - really?

    really?

  • The most overrated guitar player ever. Clive Davis and Carlos cooked up a covers record! NEAT! How original! Whats next? Probably more covers with more congas, timbales and other people playing and singing while Blandtana does nothing but fart around over the top of everything. This was horrid.

  • @pleeger overated carlos is one of the greatest guitar players that has ever lived. he dont have to prove jshit to no one! were have you been!!

  • @marc5610 overated hes one of the orignal great rock guitarist of all time the king of latin rock!!! viva santana!

  • @marc5610 I agree with you.

Negative people and their ignorant comments are just haiting the fact that they don't have such talent.

  • @pleeger if he wants to cover great songs so be it hes just putting his way of doing a classic. puro SANTANA!

  • im diging on the tamborine guy

  • looks like she's wearing a giant vagina on the front of her dress

  • I'm a great Santana fan but found this whole performance weak soundwise, something very wrong.

I felt like I wanted to inject some energy into it...

Couldn't hear the vocal properly, she seemed to be singing off key as well.

    Maybe I'm going deaf....

But it was still nice to see the perfomance in good quality, thanks.

  • watch prince tear this solo apart!! look for it!

  • @cpja2 yep. Prince absolutely kills it.

  • @cpja2 you're right ,Prince and the rest of the band's version is far superior to this performance.

But I still am a great Santana fan.I think it needs Tony lindsey vocal to bring it alive.

India's vocals are too weak for this number.

  • @eaglerock999 PRINCE IS BADD BE HE AINT CARLOS!! SANTANA SAN FRANCISCO MISSION STREET!!

  • Very Nice. Carlos' spin on it is sweet. Nice vocal. He loves his PRS

  • Carlos's greatest contribution to this song is giving it over the vocalist.

    WHAT a support he sets up . . .

for this just stunning vocal interpretation ... my gawd.

  • i am just glad george is getting recognition as the great guitar player and song writer with the next generation!

  • What happened to Chester Thompson on keyboards? Looks like a different guy. Half the band isn't here.

  • esta muy bn la rola, pero muy lenta y me gustaria mas guitarra electrica

  • linda musica . A guitarra do santana quase fala rsrrrsr

  • iss a cool cover but is not a 1/4 as awesomee as thee classic version of george harrison

  • Also thank´s to Benny Rietveld whom I have seen now using a bow to his bass.Thank you Benny.

  • I love this.I dunno how many words it takes to say..I love this rendition.Thank You all,and I would have jumped for joy having seen and heard this ......so much more vibrant live!

  • A bit crap to be honest.

The woman can't sing, and Santana is trying to hard. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guitarist and I love some of his music, but this isn't latin music, it's the wrong genre for him.

Not a patch on the original.

Eric Clapton should be the only person allowed to cover this song.

  • @handley88 Are you sure? Not putting you or anything down,Just asking:are you sure?

  • @handley88 I agree not Carlos' best work, but to say that his greatness is confined to Latin music is ridiculous. Santana started as a blues-based band and their first 2 albums really reflect this before they began to move in a more Latin-inspired direction. Furthermore Santana has produced a number of excellent Jazz albums (Borboletta and Caravanserai as examples).

  • @handley88 What about Jeff Healey version? :)

  • @PuNcHiE666

Jeff Healey lit this song on fire. And in respect to everyone who's covered this song, they've all done a gret job.

  • absolutely awesome! George must be smiling somewhere!

  • RIP George. .thank you Santana for reviving this amazing song

  • Incredible performance a true tribute to George Harrison :)

  • Loved it!

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!! OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! GEORGE WOULD BE SO PROUD TO HEAR THIS ARRANGEMENT OF HIS BEAUTIFUL SONG.

  • That's show biz!
