mamas so damn happy hahahaha .. didn't know what to do with her babys hair ..(at the begining I could tell the beauticianist thinking.."Lord! this childs head" lol
over all, beautiful hair on that child curly or straight.
My daughter's hair is very healthy and long. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep naturally curly hair moisturized because if it's dry, it will become brittle and break off or split. And the best moisturizer is water!!!!!
You may think this routine is time consuming and a lot of maintenance but this is what it takes to have healthy hair. No disrespect to you, but I really feel like stylists should learn how to properly care for each hair type, from wavy, curly to kinky.
6. Usually, coconut oil, or I will mix coconut oil and jojoba oil.
7. I allow her hair to air dry, or I use a diffuser on the "cool" setting to dry her hair.
8. Every morning when she wakes up, I wet her hair so that it's damp, not dripping wet and I apply more leave in conditioner by finger combing it through her hair and I allow to air dry or I diffuse. Every other day, I rinse her hair and scalp with water and oil her scalp and apply leave in conditioner.
5. After rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner, I section her hair into four parts with my fingers, and I finger comb a detangling leave in conditioner made specifically for people with naturally curly hair, called Kinky Curly Knot Today. I make sure to put extra conditioner on the ends of her hair. I use Giovanni Deep moisture shampoo and conditioner on her hair. I use all organic, sulfate free shampoos and conditioners.
6. Once or twice a week, I massage oil on her scalp.
3. I soak my daughter's hair with water so that it's dripping wet, then I put deep moisturizing conditioner on it. I part her hair into four sections and use a wide tooth comb to detangle her hair. You must detangle naturally curly hair, there's no way around that!
4. I was her hair with a deep moisturizing, protein rich shampoo and conditioner. I do not deep condition her hair under a heated dryer. I do not use heat on my child's hair.
I don't mean any disrespect to you as a stylist BUT, some of the methods that you use on naturally curly hair is very damaging. My daughter has very thick naturally curly hair.
1. She is 19 months old and her hair length is to the middle of her back.
2. I've never had to trim her ends because I keep her hair moisturized and her scalp oiled.
3. Never detangle naturally curly hair when it's dry! I detangle my daughter's hair before I wash it.
My hair is curly to but all I do is blowdry it out and it's str8 and occasionally I use an iron/ straightener on the ends cuz that's where it frizzed and get crazy first!!!:P but she is sooooo super cute:)!!
that gurl is gorgeous. the hairtips were good but so much heat damage to the hair first u dry then browdry str8 then use heat curlers. her natural curl was beautiful is there no way to style without usin so much heat on it

I personally think she did a good job.
Nothing wrong with straightening it every once in awhile. But keeping moister in it is a good idea.
I have kinky hair.
I take a shower, get out, brush through it,put jel in it, then hairspray, all over. My hair curls into beautiful curls. (:
