This isn't true. The FED is only the lender of last resort. The US governmnent's creditors are other nations, particularly the Chinese. As the dollar slides in value, the Chinese are left holding less and less value. It's called hegemony.

So simply compare the American dollar against any common commodity like gold. American currency is so low now, that the metallic composition in an American 5 cent piece is now worth about 7.5 cents.

The Chinese currency is tied to the dollar and that's where most imports come from. It's a clever trick - American prices don't rise. As I said, it's called hegemony.

The fed will loan to the government if no one else does, they don't have to because it is borrowed elsewhere. Paul is of course correct but Bernanke squashed his theories because there is no inflation. There is no inflation for the reason I said - the Chinese currency being tied to the dollar. Paul doesn't seem to get that. That is what is happening - useless dollars are being stuffed into Chinese pockets.
