  • i just love this song =3 i cry while listening to this song but i feel like its a very happy song. i wonder why i get this conflict of emotions?

  • I'm a cool guy.

  • @4LMNts thanks for the original.

I can hear ao dai and non la, woa hahaha. Indeed Viet Nam :D

  • @MissLoveTantei91 Nah, this song is too old. I just remerber 2 sentences.

The part " ah, mantoru, ga jozetsu " in VNese is " ngủ ngoan con ơi, đêm tối đã tới ", in english it means " sleep well my child, dark night has come ". Just 2 sentences, sorry.

My mother used to sing it, but now she isn't. I was 2 years old back then ^^. It's a miracle that i remember it until now :D

  • Probably yuu456 is right.

    白=white, 虎=tiger, 野=field.

This song is originally inspired by Bạch Hổ oilfield, white tiger oilfield, in Vietnam.

And this is a remake, here is the original one.

    > watch?v=zo3oLnWodsM

In the original lyrics, there are some other words about Vietnam, such as ao dai and non La.

  • This song is a old lullaby of Viet Nam, (the chorus not the opening), i'm not lying, my mother used to sang it when i was young.I still remember it

  • @yuu456 Interesting. What are the lyrics?

  • brilliant song...

  • saidly i dont speak japanese so dont even know what the song is about. very great music though, the movie as well. I've seen all the movies of satoshi n feel really sorry for his death. hes too young to leave this world

  • Ah, this is the opening song for Paprika, an amazing anime by Satoshi Kon. On that soundtrack, it was called "The Girl in Byakkoka."

  • pure art best pictures ever taken and art made CX

  • I can't understand the meaning of the lyrics.

But, the line of tears slowly slipping down my cheeks.

    why...

  • @maerivery maybe someone is cutting onions near u

  • Comment removed

  • i dont know why but i love this song im happy when i hear it :D

  • This is great. 5/5

  • song sounds funny, but gets addictive

  • nice photos with a great song!

Hello friends, this is our homeland, this is our future.

  • thanks a lot for translate Vietnamese.

that words impress my heart !!

    (Byakkoya = White tiger field)

  • There's a missing Vietnamese part at 2:37 to 2:45 that says "Hello, everyone. This is our country. This is our hands and feet." For some reason all the lyrics that I've looked up for this song is missing this part...

  • Sin chao

  • Xin cha`o ca'c ba.n, da^y la` que^ huong cu?a chu'ng to^i, da^y la` tuong lai cu?a chu'ng to^i

Roughly "Hello everyone, this is our home(as in country), this is our future."

  • Yah... That too... Glad to see people understand Vietnamese here! :D

You can also add "Millenium Actress" and maybe "Perfect Blue" to that for sufficient levels of head melting.

  • u forgot Paranoia Agent. fits into that list too.

  • I like this song for some odd reason

  • Hirasawa's career as composer has lasted for nearly 40 years.

  • this is awesome. nobody in America can match him.

    :D

  • Good Job

  • Skies high overhead...colored a scarlet red...the outlines of clouds, like burning flames

That day...that day... at that time I the lost path was revealed to me

The time I followed the wind that blew through my recurring dream is descending...

Along the river, along the river, I gazed upon strange [unfamiliar] flowers of rapture...

    *REPEAT*

    *part 4*

    =)

  • *Ahh, the mantle blows out flames talkatively...

I'll congratulate the person who stands in the discarded field

Ahhh, from the girl's quiet, quiet perspective

Ahhh, in this unfamiliar city, the lights are turning off*

    *part 3*

  • "That is the city revealed by your dream", whispered the voices in the shadows...

Even the days to come, even th days to come, and the times when I crossed countless forks in the road...

The wise man in the darkness, collecting the days that were discarded

On the coast, on the coast, flames I've never seen before are made to dance

    *part 2*

  • My very, very *rough* translation - hope this helps! Corrections welcome & appreciated!!

"The Daughter of the White Tiger Fields"

Distant skies...in the lively circle of spinning flowers

That day...on that day...I crossed a fork in the road, and it opened by eyes

I loan my body to the shimmering haze, and follow the girl pointing out the path to me

Coming into view atop the hill, the nameless plains became so nostalgic...

    *part 1*

  • Lyrics, anyone speak Japanese?

  • The lyrics are in the music video. As for posting here I can't as the lyrics are copyrighted.

  • Search "The girl in Byakkoya lyrics" on Google. The first link has the Japanese lyrics and English translation. You can also download the mp3 for free from the Susume's website (Google "Susume website" and you'll see a result for the free mp3's)

  • Sorry I mean "Susume Paprika" on the second search suggestion.

  • I'm so very sorry.I accidently pressed the "spam" button on your comment when my computer hanged.Sorry!
