Also beware you may need some strong hardware as well before buying this plane. I'm on an AMD Turion II p540 @ 2.5 ghz, Ati Raedon HD 4250, 4 gigs of ram. I still manage to get by on medium settings for the aircraft and dense for scenery.

It will work, but probably at a very low framerate and perhaps with some texture errors.

I like the PMDG MD-11 very much, but why it has to be so expensive...I bought PMDG 737-800/900 and 747-400 and i thought they were fairly expensive... but damn!! this one takes the price!!

the manual is a bit too extensive I would usually look for a tutorial to grab the basics and also grab some fs nav routes to put in the fmc.

the md 11 is however quite a mouthful and one should have experience on the 737 pmdg first.

I think the PMDG MD-11 is all right. It has good graphics but it takes up about

1GB. I recomend if you get the MD-11, not to keep on downloading more add-ons. FSX takes up alot it's self. Out of ten a choose six. I also think the price is a little to high. In my opinion, I recomend this for people who have an interest in tri-star jets.

Maybe i'm the only one who don't like PMDG. What i don't like is the look of every VC in PMDG. OK, everything else is fine, flight dynamics, controls...but VC is too small in every plane they made. Yeah its look like real one, but its NOT. 737 vc is wrong, 747 too small, MD11 too small and not in proportion. Don't get me wrong people, its not that i want to tell you "don't buy this thing", but for me VC is in first place, than 2d panel. On all PMDG products, VC don't look like real thing.

After 48 h of testing this aircraft and changing the settings i have to say SORRY for my previous post.

This Aircraft is really one of the best aircraft has ever been made!

It is necessary to read 500 page of manual to understand how good and difficult this aircraft is to fly.

i received an email few days ago from pmdg and apperantly they said its not far away from completion and is out in a few weeks time all there is left to do is some more minor tests and its done but again they mentioned no date as they cannot promise anything but they assured its gonna be out in a few weeks.
