  • even the zulus and native americans fought better than the chinks

  • @kelvinc8 yeah the Zulu were lucky at Battle of Isandwana and then they got pwned badly by the British after that one lucky win. Well the British were under incompetent command when they lost at Isandwana against the Zulu. The native Americans won sometimes mainly because they used Western arms. But yeah in the end Chinks, Natives, and Zulu all got pwned.

  • Not a chinaman of a chance

  • Xi Jinping says #Tibet is a nation: "Without the CCP, there would have been no new China, no new Tibet." t .co / iqVg2rM

  • Fighting the Chinese?? These guys are Tibetan, not Chinese.

    Those same Tibetans would shoot their weapons at Chinese soldiers soon after.

    At that time, you didn't call those Tibetans "brave Chinese," you called them "terrorist separatists."

  • The movie was made in 1983...China was just open to the world, and it was too poor to hire any foreign actors.

    Don't laugh, now the blond actors could speak English, French and Chinese fluently. Needless to say, Chinese can pay them with the greenback printed by Comrade Bernanke. lol.

    主要内容为:

    (1)将乌苏里江以东(包括库页岛在内)约四十万平方公里的中国领土,强行划归俄国;

    (2)规定中俄西段疆界,自沙宾达巴哈起经斋桑卓尔、特穆尔图卓尔(今伊塞克湖)至浩罕边界,“顺山岭、大河之流及现在中国常驻卡伦等处”为界,根据这一规定,于1864年签订 了《中俄勘分西北界约记》,将巴尔喀什湖以东、以南和斋桑卓尔南北四十四万多平方公里的中国领土,割给俄国;

    (3)开放喀什噶尔(今喀什市 )为商埠;

    (4)俄国在库伦(今外蒙古乌兰巴托)、喀什噶尔设立领事官。

    From then on, Russia's been connected to N. Korea. China lost its land to one country because it lost battle to other two countries...WTF.

  • Although I know this is just a movie, it's still touching while watching it.

    "United we stand, Divided we fall!" So while you fight for the freedom, don't forget that:

    To those British and French invaders, they didn't care our ethnicities -- they were fighting against Chinese!

  • 3, The treaty also ceded parts of Outer Manchuria to the Russian Empire. It granted Russia the right to the Ussuri krai, a part of the modern day Primorye, the territory that corresponded with the ancient Manchu province of East Tartary. See Treaty of Aigun (1858), Treaty of Nerchinsk (1689) and Russian-Manchu border conflicts. The treaty is considered an unequal treaty.

  • Term:

    1, The area known as Kowloon was originally leased in March 1860. The Convention of Peking ended the lease, and ceded the land formally to the British on 24 October 1860.[3]

    2, Article 6 of the Convention between China and the United Kingdom stipulated that China was to cede the part of Kowloon Peninsula south of present day Boundary Street, Kowloon, and Hong Kong (including Stonecutters Island) in perpetuity to Britain.

  • The 10,000 Brave Mongol Cavalry were from Horqin(科尔沁草原), Inner Mongolia...

    Aftermath: First Convention of Peking, 1860 were signed. Russia took out Outer Manchuria. :(

  • Tibet was even worse.

    watch?v=N6xuZkXwR1M

  • @lycopene1 how does Tibet have anything to do with this video?

  • @supersmash43 Tibet was also part of Qing.

    Tibetans were also fighting against British invaders with stones and arrows.

  • Maybe you don't know, during the time of Opium War, British and French guns weren't that good, only their artillery pieces are better than the Chinese, the Chinese bows and arrows are far better than their guns. The Chinese should dig tunels to hide themselves, then kill the enemies by ambush, attacking the enemies at the front is a big tactical mistake.

  • @fastkillmmm the Brits and French were using muzzle-loading rifles in the 2nd Opium War most likely the Enfield 1853 which had a firing rate of possibly 3-4 shots a minute at best by an experted user. That was why they fired in volleys to compensate for the relatively slow rate of fire. A muzzle-loading rifle is much more accurate the a smoothbore musket btw. Yeah the Chinese should have just rained more arrows at them.

  • @supersmash43 What I mean is the Chinese should find a place to hide and attack the Brits and French from different directions, Chinese had more troops and Brits & French had more artillery pieces but they were heavy to move around, Chinese could ambush them by mass men power. Guns had longer range, Chinese soldiers were dumb to attack enemies from the front. Arrows with poison on are lethal too, Chinese should attack enemies from different directions and rained tons of arrows at the enemies.

  • @fastkillmmm this was a total tactical failure.

  • @supersmash43 Yes, before the war Brits&French sent a lot of people to study China so they knew exactly how to fight the Chinese but the Qing officials only sat at their home to dream about the outside world.

  • @fastkillmmm the Brits were just fighting the Sepoy rebellion before this war. They were probably using Minie Ball rifles. I am not sure if the cannons were really that small in real life.

  • @supersmash43 I don't know you know or not that Chinese general Feng Zicai馮子才in Qing dynasty defeated the French troops in Northern Vietnam in 1885 by ambush tactic.

  • @fastkillmmm yes but it is kinda hard to ambush out in an open plain.

  • @supersmash43 Yes it is much harder but Chinese side has a lot of men power, they can dig a lot of tunnels for ambush before the enemies come as same as how the CCP troops fought against the Japanese in WW2, also using horsemen to attack the enemies at night from different directions, I think Chinese has very high chance to win.

  • @fastkillmmm the Opium War and many other Chinese defeats in the 19th century were very humiliating and epic fail. Especially this and the Sino Japanese war. Heck even Zulu were able to beat the Brits at Isandlwana but then again they outnumbered the Brits 14:1 and the Brits had bad strategy in that battle.

  • @supersmash43 Japanese took the advantage of Chinese civil war and occupied part of China but when we Chinese were united and fight we defeated Japanese troops eveywhere in China. One example is Korean war, although Chinese PVA has much worse weapons and much higher casualties but we forced US troops, which just defeated 2 powerful enemies Germany and Japan, out of North Korea back to the south.

  • @fastkillmmm do you really need to write CHINA that many times in a row on your profile picture? Anyway yeah the Chinese beat invaders when united and using correct strategy. This battle was just epic fail imo and gives the impression that China is weaker than it really is.

  • @supersmash43 Yes lol it's my style, I like ppl to see the pic of Chinese sub lol. Under that corrupted Manchurian Qing empress rule, China was totally weak, we have to take the whole century to bring the country back to right track, just too long!!

  • @fastkillmmm Look, I don't wanna ruin your New Year, but China still has a ways to go and needs a lot of different nations to start looking the other way before it gets top dog status, and the current government simply isn't capable of managing an empire if they can't even keep Tibet and the Uyghur, territories within their own borders, under control, not to mention stabilize the nations they're attempting to colonize in Africa. Still got a lot to learn about imperialism.

  • @fastkillmmm To be fair, during the Korean war, there were A LOT of Chinese soldiers involved, and China was still being armed by the USSR, making the level of technology more even than you think. Also, North Korea had initially conquered all of South Korea, but were driven practically back to China until China got directly involved. Even then, North Korea and China only managed to drive back the UN forces to the 38th parallel and no further, despite continued warfare.

  • Who knows how powerful were the chinese back then. They had courage they had strength to keep on fighting.

  • It greatly explains the reason why Chinese should love Chinese. Unit together!

  • Let us remember the pass, and strife towards building a strong China, only then will we be able to proudly answer the lifes sacrificed by our honourable Chinese warriors in the battles against foreign occupation.
