why does everyone assume that JYP is trying to compete with SM by making Liu Xin to go against JRI. i mean for all we know, maybe he felt that in order to break into the chinese market he should debut a girl. according to JYPE rep. she is supposed to be like a chinese female rain. so im thinking more dancing in the future. plus this song sucks and totally doesnt tell us if she has a decent range or not.

Only a few singers have successfully integrated the westernized/more expressive and uninhibited singing style and made chinese songs sound better, e.g. gary chaw and justin lo. I guess there's no instant formula. It just has to sound natural and unfortunately this song kinda lacks that.
Since it's only the most obvious thing that JYP is copying SM, I'm going to judge her compared to Li Yin. oh...if JYP wants to follow LSM's footsteps...then, well, JYP needs to observe more...lol...you would think that JYP is going for simple..but it's not working..lol, look at Li Yin's success after LSM's ideas and a duet w/ Junsu was perfect. This girl is not gonna be able to make a ripple in the pond...and besides, the Korean music industry is way more than a pond...she's not gonna survive.

he has yet to debut her. jyp is taking baby steps into the chinese market. this will be a learning experience. he has to be careful in how he promotes liu xin. smtown's handling of jang ri in was a lesson for all. plus, korea and china are two different cultures and you have to debut the artist to reflect the market.

well i should have rephrased my comment. what i mean is the chinese market, at least mainland anyway, focuses heavily on one's vocal talents. sure there are always subpar singers, but they're mostly marked as idols anyways so it doesn't really matter to them. but yea even sunye and i would say yeeun also, have better voices than her.

I guess that explains why SM didn't pick her, SM doesn't usually except people of her age they like them younger to train longer.
She is a great addition to the JYPE family though, JYPE can always use more talented additions. ^^
