EtherealLuv, of course McNair made promises. The fact that he bought her the vehicle, shows that . She was probably under the assumption that he would help with the payments. She was not in a normal state of mind and with no mother or father to guide her, she got lost. She could have very easily killed him, the other woman, and walked away. But no. He betrayed her and she couldn't take it.

No one kills someone and takes their own life unless promises were made and then broken.

I think the fact that he WOULDN'T make any promises to her is what pushed her over the edge. She was even stalking the new woman he was dating. Kazemi already had serious untreated mental issues--Steve McNair didn't cause that. Also, what kind of a sick person could shoot a man in one side of the head, then 2 in the chest, then 1 on the other side of the head, before positioning herself on his body so she could be found in his lap? Sorry, but this monster was created a long time ago.

I am a mom. I totally understand how a young woman could be so devastated after being made promises by someone like McNair only to find that she was used and lied to. He had probably done it many times before.

This is a tragedy. I feel mostly sad that a young life was wasted. He did not deserve to die, but he was an adult and should have known better.

She was an adult too. She dropped out of high school at 15 or 16 and moved to Nashville from FL. She was no spring chicken. She knew what she was doing. Also, how do you know what he was telling her? The fact that he didn't even buy her the truck --she was making payments on it herself, shows that he was not serious about her. I don't think he made promises to her. This was not the first time he cheated on his wife. He was moving on to someone else after only about 5 months of dealing with her.

She was a distraught young girl, wasn't an adult yet, not mentally. Anyone making payments on an Escalade, and paying RENT on an apt, still has a juvenile mentality. She found out he was dating another girl, so he was probably going to do to her what he did to his wife, cheat and move on. She obviously needed his $ help, and that, along with his love slipping away, freaked her out and she lost it. Stupid bitch. He's also a dumbass for messin around with unstable little 20 year old girls.
