You know what this comes down to? Community has incredibly likable characters so you can't help but smile and get excited when they sing. And even though this is a parody, they still make the end result performance awesome! The folks on Glee are irritating and 1 dimensional so when they sing, you're not invested in any of their emotion along with the fact they ignore the "If it's not broke don't fix it" rule of thumb with their covers.
