Her music was released like 6 months after it was released in the UK (or something like that).

Was in the UK when she first broke, came back to North America and not a soul knew who she was. Half a year later she was EVERYWHERE!

"Spirit" wasn't released in America until early 2008 (maybe late 2007). Anyway, radio stations in my area didn't start playing Bleeding Love, her first single, until Jan/Feb 2008. So 2009 for this song, which was two singles later (after Footprints in the Sand), sounds about right.

April 2008 Spirit was released in the US, November 07 for the UK. Better in Time was released in 2008 for both US and UK, but Uk way before the US.
