@wannabeserpento99 You know what I find kind of funny? You don't see any NBA greats like Magic, Bird, or Barkley comparing any players to themselves. Jordan just loves the attention. I love Jordan as a player though.
I hate these try-hard basketball "fans" who just put in statistics and numbers in their comments to seem like they know everything when you can easily look this shit up. Please. You guys sound like complete idiots.
Christ Almighty I'm sick of kids like those (won't mention any names, but you know who you are). It reminds me of high school kids debating on Facebook who is the "best" presidential candidate and arguing about the army, navy, politics, war, etc. Stop trying to act smart.
Stop comparing people..... MJ said only Kobe deserves comparison and not Lebron.. Kobe said only chris paul or d-rose deserves comparison and not Lebron
@squeezeNlemon Kobe said only Paul and Rose share the same competitiveness as him and Jordan. He never said they were better players overall than LeBron.
at the end of the day kobe & lebron love each ova no homo but yu cant say lebron aint shit cus he doesnt have rings look what team he was on no help whats so ever is amazing he even made it 2 the playoffs .. shaq is the reason kobe hs 3 of his 5 rings
nah i jus hate kobe idek the point of me writing this
none of your opinions matter anyways, jordan himself said kobe was the only one worthy of being compared to him. and when you're compared to the best, you're the next best thing. no hate on lebron though, he's still young.
Idgaf if you think Lebron better than Kobe, Kobe better than Lebron, Jordan Better than ebron, Lebron better than Jordan...the fact of the matter is...THAT BOIII LEBRON WASSSS ON FIYAHHHHHHH
dudes gotta stop fighting about kobe and lebron thing, the truth is, they don't give a FUCK what you think! they be counting them dollars while u guys bitch bout whos better so shut it boiz.
@xavi0850 LOL. Dude I'm a HEAT fan. I predict them winning it all this year. I am only being real. LeBron doesn't need a fourth quarter buzzer beater to beat a team and doesn't need to play 40 something minutes every game unless he is in the playoffs. Wade slows him down a lot.
Instead of arguing about who the best player in the league is, let's just shut up, watch some good basketball, and be glad we have so many great players at all. Kobe, LeBron, Durant, Wade, etc. are all entertaining if you ask me
what a game that was..the heat got me all upset in the 1st half..seem to like at one point they were not playing D and defense was very weak..just happi they got the W.
Lebron flops 24/7 that why i don't like him, also the nba favours him and dosen't call the millions of times he travels. But Lebron did go off this game and led the heat to a stellar comeback so i have to give him props
@dngo KB is taking 25 shots per game to LBJ's 19 shots per game.
Not to mention he's been playing with an injured wrist for most of the season and has been missing the 3 ball about as badly as a player can shoot it because of the injury.
Injured wrist, shooting finger ligament still torn and still going for 40+x3 and leading the league in PPG. Not bad for just taking 6 more shots than LBJ considering... don't you think?
@dngo Thats cause he cant finish, so he looks for wade or bosh to finish for him, hence the assists. While kobe can score, can finish in the rim, his teammates know that too, thats why low assists rate, and high points
@xlordongx Even without bosh and wade. Lebron avg 7+ assists with cleveland. Thats number 1 with small forwards. With those crappy teammates.
ok you agree that his teammates realize kobe will have the ball and shoot a lot. Low assists and hight points and lots shot attempts. Lebron High Assists, Higher scoring the kobe, and less shot attempts. And he had better record than the lakers with miami and cleveland in the last 4 years
@peco017 "LA beginning this year was losing alot until Bynum"
OR, they were losing a lot because Kobe had a wrist injury? Or they were losing because it's perfectly normal to lose a string of games in this league? Do you not remember how badly Miami did last year at the beginning? Is a sample size of a few games appropriate to draw a conclusion like Bynum was the reason? lmfao. You must work for Fox News arguing like this.
First thing you learn in statistics is to not make idiotic assumptions
@peco017 "You do know that you can't compare ratings with the players in the 80s and 90s"
Never has Hollinger even said that this was the case, but you are the expert on PER not Hollinger lol!
"they didnt have hand check rule, back to basket rule, ect"
And they didn't have a legal zone nor do they have a modern defense and slower pace to make scoring slower. Hand checks must have made scoring impossible and yet players in the 80s-90s score significantly more than modern players. Nice try.
@thiennguyenX2 "Hand checks must have made scoring impossible and yet players in the 80s-90s score significantly more than modern players. Nice try." wtf are you trying to get at? that was my point? you're the one who said player efficency rating was different in the 90s? thats way you cant compare? LOL nice try but you seem like the slower one
@peco017 "you're the one who said player efficency rating was different in the 90s"
You have got to be kidding me. When did I say that PER was different in the 90s? Are you retarded? I said specifically that, according to PER, Wade should be considered top 6 all time. And that Rose should not have won the MVP so unanimously with only 23 PER.
That's exactly what I said.
I said nothing about not being able to cross compare 80s-90s player's PERs you fucking twit.
@peco017 I also did not say that you said Bynum carried the lakers to wins. You said they only started winning because of Bynum, I pointed it out to you that Bynum has not played a single full season in his 6, going on 7 years in the league now. The reason why they started winning was a player who didn't play very much, that makes sense.
What is your reading level at or do you just argue like Fox News and put words into people's mouths?
@peco017 Why do I give a fuck where you are born. Relevance?
"Stop changing the subject" lmfao troll. Accused me of saying PER doesn't translate across eras, even though you brought up PER. I never said PER doesn't translate across eras, you Fox News trash. You better stop trying.
Bring up Caron Butler an Lamar Odom more. Bynum's perpetually injured ass too lmao. Troll.
@thiennguyenX2 whats up with your fetish with FOX news? No you didnt say it translated across eras. But then why bring up that players of this era had higher efficency then those of the old era? Your just contradicting yourself. And you you know the fact is whos number 1 on that PER? Jordan. Number 2 is Lebron. Im tired of replying to your idiotic self contradicting remarks. Just stop.
Good, you admit it now that you couldn't find it in the quotes. Fox News likes to say things and misquote people for bullshit arguments, just like you tried to do. Took me two comments to get you to retract.
I brought up the PER because you want to compare players using PER. Is this rocket science? If you want to use PER to say A is better than B. Then you are saying Wade = 6th best all time. It's basic logic. You follow?
@peco017 Oh wow, dodge the Wade all time question and the D Rose question. Nice.
Dodge more. Basic questions.
You better start a petition on D Rose winning MVP last year. According to you and Hollinger, D Rose definitely did not deserve the MVP. He probably isn't even top 10 in the league in PER among the MVP candidates. He clearly stole the MVP through some conspiracy because PER says he's not the MVP by far.
@peco017 D rose should not have won MVP last year according to you. Lmao.
Fucking moron don't even know the formula for PER. Kobe putting up the same exact stats but is doing two things differently:
1) Taking more 2 pointers because of his wrist injury
2) Playing more minutes
These two things are among the chief criticisms of the FLAWS in PER, and also the reason why KB's PER Is 26.8 this year. Even though he is playing the exact same way/stats he did last season.
@thiennguyenX2 Your a fucking moron. MVP is chosen by a pannel of voters. Just because its chosen doesn't mean its right. And im not taking anything from rose. No the PER counts in rebounds, assists, points, turnovers, all in a set of time. So kobe plays more produces less. Just shut up before you call strangers on the internet Fucking Morons.
@peco017 "MVP chosen by a panel of voters", captain obvious.
Rose won it unanimously. It wasn't even close. And no one looked at PER and say, hey! 23 PER, this guy isn't as good as this guy. They watched basketball.
This isn't a close decision. Rose's PER says he is not even a top 10 MVP candidate, Hollinger says so with his chart! lmfao
"I'm not taking anything from Rose"
uh huh. Rose/Nash/Bird/Magic/Kareem/Russell = inconvenient for PER arguments, sorry. Don't bring them up, gotcha.
@peco017 Oh my, the PER does not count points, but rather the TS % and the amount of shot attempts and rewards/punishes them according to how Hollinger, just some statistician who works at ESPN, says they should count. Hollinger = not basketball Jesus sorry. Nor is he particularly a well-respected statistician.
Here's the most common comment about PER;
'it is deeply flawed'
Here's what Hollinger says about PER:
'it is flawed'
My advice, take at least in statistic class before you talk.
Is it still a figure that is about scoring? Why is offensive rebounding/FTA in there? That would automatically reward players who shoot closer to the basket and can get their own rebounds or get fouled. Points is far and away NOT a stand alone variable in PER. Which is why PER fails to describe the value of so many players in this league, PG/SG.
@thiennguyenX2 Lebron dominates kobe in almost every category. Points they are virtually tied per game this year. But kobe is shooting 24% From 3, We dont even need to look at PER. Im done no excuses, hard facts.
@peco017 Oh, the idiot finally is done arguing for PER and going on to other stats. That's fine. So you mean you're done with PER. Gotcha.
Kobe is shooting 2nd worst in the 4th quarter from the 3 point line, absolutely terrible for sure. Injured wrist does that to your range. Wade's stats are also shit right now cuz of his injuries too, or is he just shitty for no reason like Kobe?
Kobe shooting 24% at the 3 for no reason other than he sucks? Nice 'facts'.
@thiennguyenX2 ok if kobe realizes that he has the injured wrist than why does he keep shooting if he's missing? huh i thought he had a high basketball iq? wtf is your problem man. and yea his fg% is shit. He has never had a season above 50%. "Oh the idiot finally is done arguing for PER and going on to other stats." you idiot the PER pretty much covers overall stats. I switched arguing cause you kept getting butthurt over it.
@peco017 lol you said you were done about 6 times thus far, still not done, stop saying it. I know you like to say random shit but please, do stop that.
"PER pretty much covers overall stats"
Kidding me lmfao. You still don't understand why other statisticians hate PER.
Look, I know you didn't take a single statistic class in your life, by the way you argue, college is like not part of the equation either.
But PER = broken. It is not a statistic, it's a derivative of statistics - a bad one.
@peco017 if he dominates kobe in every category, why didnt he win dallas in 2011 finals? While kobe led the lakers to a repeat in 2009 and 2010? If he was owning kobe in every aspect, wouldnt he be able to win dallas? And there wade and bosh on that team
@G4L4XYdomination um no. Im not saying kobe is better. So i guess we both agree. Damn just scroll down if you want my lebron arguments. This guy below me is annoying as hell. And im tired of typing all these stats and statistics and ect to @xlordongx rant, excuses, ect.
@peco017 Stats lie. Kobe's already is 33 this year, considering his age, still putting up more than 30 ppg now, its already a great feat, or even better than lebron
@xlordongx lol ok 30.8 ppg. So does kobe. Do you see the statistics for shot under 2 min for go ahead bucketts? 2010 playofffs kobe missed 5 stratight gamewinners. No such thing as "clutch"
@peco017 Lol at you comparing prime Lebron's stats to 33 year old Kobe.
Prime KB was 35.5 ppg at 49% eFG. I'm not even gonna mention his all-time games/streaks during his prime.
Where does Bron own KB at other than positional bonuses that ALL players at the forward benefit from? Higher shooting %, rebounds, blocks are all positional advantages that all forwards share - playing near the post has these benefits. And this is 33 year old Kobe with injured wrist/torn ligament in shooting finger ha!
@thiennguyenX2 Positional advantage? LeBron and Kobe are both wing players, LeBron gets more rebounds because he is bigger and stronger. He gets more blocks because of his phenomenal athleticism. He has a higher shooting percentage because he is a beast when it comes to attacking the basket. In a sense they are incomparable. LeBron is a point-forward with a team first mentality while Kobe has a scorer's mentality. .
@tiyutit Bron is a Forward, with an F, not to be confused with Guard as in G. They play from the wing but they are not the same position. I wonder why we even make the damn distinction if there is no difference eh?
"Lebron gets more rebounds because he's bigger and stronger"
True. But more true is good S. forward averages 10~ rebound rate (per 48) and shoots 55% TS minimum.
Highest among SG per game, 6, KB 2nd best rebounding guard in the league.
@thiennguyenX2 I find it funny that people compare the scoring attribute of LeBron's game to that of Kobe's. It's funny, because scoring isn't LeBron's best attribute offensively - his ability to get into the lane and fine teammates is top quality. On the other hand, scoring is Kobe's only attribute (barring the fact that they are both great defenders).
@MyCockIsNotForYou Lebron shoots 58%? Oh boy, here we go. Another kid that needs lots of explanations. If all that's being said thus far hasn't clued you into anything then I can't say anymore.
If you think LBJ shoots 58%, try basketball reference. His career ( we use career not just a few games in a season to measure okay kiddo?) is:
FG%, .481%
eFG%, .514%
TS%, .567
Now run along, and look up Kobe's eFG, and TS. If you need to know why, try googling the reasons okay? Daddys not in the mood
@thiennguyenX2 Stop trying dude, LeBron - most efficient offensive player in the league the last what? 3 years? Not to mention being in the top 5 basically every year except his rookie year.
@thiennguyenX2 Actually, I don't use Youtube every day, nor check email everyday. And I was using PER (player efficiency rating). LeBron has had a PER over 30 for the last 5 or so years, which is kind of a big deal.
@tiyutit PER = broken. You have yet to address a single flaw that I've brought up, including why VOP includes offensive rebounds and handles it with so much weight.
PER scores are directly correlated to position played on the court because it weights offensive rebounds so highly. Not to mention, it doesn't measure offensive efficiency but includes all stats.
So your "lebron is the most offensively efficient player" using PER doesn't hold water.
@tiyutit What'd you do, wait until a couple days cycle by and all the comments get pushed out of the way so people don't see you dodging points before you reply with some obscure comment like "LBJ is the most efficient offensive player in the league"?
By what metric are you using anyway? OER? PPS? PPP?
Or just random noob bullshit like "OMGZ LBJ Is most efficient" and I'm to take your word for it? Show me the math. You gotta learn how to take a loss.
@thiennguyenX2 Learn to take a loss? I haven't lost anything - listen to analysts anywhere, they will tell you that LeBron is the better player, better in terms of overall talent - don't even bring up rings.
wow, they also say that KB is a better player. This is your argument? Rings aren't part of the equation when talking about a player's ability to win? 2008 olympics? 5 rings?
@tiyutit Ask any player/coach in the league who the better player is between KB and LBJ if we're going on opinion. Try and pick a fight on this.
90% of the players/coaches in the league have KB down for the best in the game. End of story. But PER says etc. so it's true right right. PER is all you need to know about basketball. Best stat evarz. Done.
@thiennguyenX2 Fuck dude, you've got a lot of shit to say. I'll give you the stats, you put a ton of words in to try make Kobe's poor shooting % and lack of team play sound good. How about we just wait and watch Kobe bow out in the playoffs playing along side the second best center and the most skilled 4 man in the game.
@tiyutit "Kobe's poor shooting" FALSE, career 49% eFG.
"Lack of team play" FALSE, Consistently leads the Lakers in assists for his entire career.
"second best center" FALSE, perpetually INJURED center.
Here's Bynum's playoff record,
06-07, 6.3/3.7/.4
08-09, 6pts/3re/.4ass
09-10, 8.6pts/6.9re/.5ass
10-11, 14pts/10res/.8
LMFAO at you.
And Pau Gasoft is the most 'skilled' no doubt. I'd probably need to bring up last post season or his shooting % before he met KB to shut you up on Pau too?
@xlordongx I have a feeling all of your sources are around 2-3 years old, because I've seen ALL of the videos. LeBron admitted then in like 2007, the video with Michael at the camp is also a couple of years old, also, there is no way that Magic Johnson still believes that Kobe is the best. Things have changed.
@xlordongx Kobe-Shaq combo lasted 8 years. Wade-James-Bosh combo has been together for 1 year and counting. Kobe-Shaq didn't win until they were together for 3 years. Shut the fuck up?
@tiyutit come on, heat got like 3 of the top 20 or even top 10 players in the league, while the lakers only got 2 of the top 10? shouldnt they achieve it faster?
@tiyutit your logic is seriously screwed. You said it yourself, that the shaq kobe combo took 3 years then they started winning. And btw i said top 20 also. Carrying on, then i said with the big 3 they should achieve the 3 rings at a faster rate, WHICH MEANS, not taking 3 years to starting winning the first ring. I still need to explain this ==
@xlordongx I'm still trying to figure out what point you are trying to make? Are you saying that Miami doesn't have a solid big three? You don't think they're going to win championships? Why are you trying to compare them to an 8 year dynasty when they've only been together for a year and a half? What are you trying to prove? Also, the 5 spot is the most important position along with the 1 in basketball, the Lakers had the best 5 in the game along with the best or second best 2.
@xlordongx I'm not arguing the talent, they have a ton of it. I think their season was a success even though they didn't win it all. Dallas was playing out of their minds the whole playoff run, and the pieces just came together for them.
@xlordongx You can't even make an argument, and you keep changing the subject. Why would I want to argue anymore when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
@tiyutit i cant make an arguement? Whos the one that cant? Pot calling the kettle black? Changing the subject? Im just stating the various points where kobe wins lebron in. Just accept the fact you cant get anything to say and that kobe is better.
@tiyutit come on, you wan to compare age:achievements? Lebron still lose dude. Compare lebron 27, which is currently and kobe when hes 27. The achievements says it all
@xlordongx Yeah exactly, in LeBron you have arguably the most talented and greatest young player ever to come into the NBA. In Kobe you have a guy who rode along with Shaq to 3 championships, winning NO finals MVPs. And finally, you have 2 MVPs to 1 in LeBron's favour.
@tiyutit rode along shaq? Nah, i wont go there. With shaq alone he couldnt have won the 3 peat at all. the kobe shaq combo made it happen. not only shaq get it right. And it is still a 3 championship, no like lebron none? Age 27, 81 points against raptors. 2006, scoring leader of the league. 8 all star appearance. 3x all defense first team. 4x all NBA first team. And all these was just when kobe was 27
@xlordongx Well put it this way, he played the same role Gasol played in the 2009-2010 championships, he was a great player - one of the best in the league, but he had NOTHING on Shaq. Shaq definitely couldn't of won without Kobe, everybody needs help, and nobody had done it on their own. You seriously want to turn to stats? Okay fine.
@tiyutit Kobe was 2x scoring champ dude. Rookie of the year? Who did lebron had to compete with? Kobe had to compete with allen iverson to get that award.
@xlordongx Okay, now I know you lack any knowledge of Basketball. Who did LeBron have to compete with? The second best(only to the MJ, Charles Barkley draft) draft EVER. LeBron, Carmelo, D-Wade, Chris Bosh. I can't believe you could say something so horribly incorrect. Also, Kobe didn't have a shot at ROY, he averaged 7ppg, off the bench.
@tiyutit allen iverson could own those guys. in the mj era, when kobe was in the lakers, the team has many greats in the team. He was just a rookie how could he enter the starting line up? Payton? any bells ringing? lebron easily got the starting lineup in cavs as you can see the cavs dont have many greats like the lakers did during the mj era
@xlordongx LeBron already has as many achievements as Iverson racked up throughout his whole career. LeBron and D-Wade are two of the most talented players ever, regardless of era. Both are hall-of-famers if they retired today. Kobe was not a starting caliber player when he entered the NBA, while LeBron would've been a surefire starter on any team when he came into the league because of his potential AND current talent.
@tiyutit when kobe went into the nba, it was still filled with many HOFs dont you know. When lebron entered the NBA was there as many greats as when kobe entered?
@xlordongx This holds no ground, EVERY era has HOFs, expect Wade, Nash, James, Bryant, Howard, Nowitski, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Rose, Durant, etc, etc, etc. To be in the HOF.
@xlordongx Regardless of who was playing at the time, Kobe wasn't good enough to start, and LeBron was. Let's not forget they came into the league only 7 years apart, stop acting as if Kobe is old school.
@xlordongx Also, Kobe entered the league at the end of every HOF player I imagine you are going to list. He entered when the likes of Shaq and Duncan were beginning their careers and dominating for the next 5-10 years. When LeBron entered, Shaq and Duncan were still winning.
@tiyutit when lebron entered theres only shaq and duncan. when kobe entered, there are many HOF. I wouldnt say that when he entered it is the end of their careers. They are still dominating
@xlordongx Let's get this straight. You can say there were many HOFs that were finishing their careers' when Kobe was playing but that is only because they are DONE their careers' now. After all, you have to retire before you can get into the HOF. They weren't HOFs when they were still playing obviously. There will be several players from this generation accepted into the HOF, I named quite a few, and could name quite a few more if you want.
@xlordongx ONLY Shaq and Duncan? What about the others I listed? Also many of the HOFs I'm sure you are implying (Jordan, Olajuwon, Robinson), were all finishing their careers. MJ made a comeback in 2001, but he wasn't a first caliber player anyway.
@tiyutit When jordan made a comeback he was STILL a first caliber player if you wan to group it that way. He was 40 but he was somehow dominating the court at times
@xlordongx Okay, so now you've abandoned your old argument and have decided to start a new one. That's fine. 1st caliber would be a stretch, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Kobe Bryant were all entering their prime. MJ might've been the 4th best at his position.
@xlordongx That's all fine and good, but nobody cares about 1 game, sorry. It doesn't change the fact that he was the 4th or 5th best at his position. Define dominating, because they weren't.
@xlordongx MJ won in 1998, after than it was Duncan or Shaq for the next 5 years, Detroit in '04, Duncan in '05, Shaq in '06, Duncan in '07, Garnett in '08, Kobe in '09-10, and now Dallas. HOFs dominating? Where?
@tiyutit you yourself said shaq and duncan are future HOFs. Then you said duncan and shaq won it for the next five years, if that isnt dominating, i dont know what is
@xlordongx That makes no sense. What does that have to do with anything, Shaq and Duncan are both from LeBron and Bryant's era, ergo you have no argument.
@xlordongx You keep repeating the same points, but in different sentence format. Bryant's era and Lebron's era are one of the same. I didn't think I would need to repeat my former point, but I will anyway. When it's all said and done, this era will boast several HOFs.
@xlordongx I can' argue that? In terms of talent that generation is better? Or in terms of achievements? Let's think about this. Obviously, the previous generation has several players that accomplished great feats, but that's not what we are talking about. Rings don't make a player more talented. In terms of talent, players are only continuing to become better and better. If anything, this generation has seen the rise of the most athletic and physically talented players ever.
@xlordongx Tell me what Kobe can do better and then we'll talk. LeBron rebounds better, he is a better passer and averages more assists, he is a better ball-handler, he scores the same amount of points per game while shooting 10% better from the field, he averages more steals per game, he averages more blocks per game. All of this for a winning team, while Kobe's team is 12-9 and has only surpassed 100 points in two games this season.
@tiyutit Magic, Dennis, Phil Jackson, Lebron himself, said that kobe is better than lebron? Mj even said that only kobe is able to be compared to mj, lebron is not.
@xlordongx As a baskeball player, Kobe is definitely better than LeBron, because he has 5 RINGS. In terms of physical talent, LeBron is better. Not to mention all of those comparisons are years old. Dude just shut the fuck up because you have nothing. Absolutely nothing.
@tiyutit oh ho? Losing already then tell people to shut the fuck up?? Hahaha joke like what. Comparisions are years old?? Magic's comment was in 2011, so was jordan's. Are those years old? You sense of logic is seriously screwed. Maybe you should go home and cry now. Lose already dont want to admit. Dont put up a big front, cause you have none
@xlordongx Please direct me to these comments. I'm almost positive I have seen the videos you are referring to. MJ's comparison was in August of 2009. I heard Magic say LeBron is the best in the game while watching the Bulls play the Heat on Sunday. Losing? I've shut down every argument you've made and you continue to change the subject, and fail to make new points.
@xlordongx And if you want to use past NBA players as excuses for which player is better I'll give you some. Jerry West believes that LeBron is the best in the NBA and has believed this for the past 3-4 years. Oscar Robertson also confirms this, and states LeBron as "being in a class of his own". See? I can make useless points too.
@xlordongx There are five unique positions, and match-ups always differ. Players opinions are important to an extent but there is definitely bias when players give those opinions. I'd take a Coach/GM's opinion over a players opinion, after all, they build the team and obviously know what is going on. Notice how MJ's team can't win a damn game?
@xlordongx Phil Jackson was never a good NBA player, he wasn't a great by any stretch of the imagination. Also, just so were clear, Magic said LeBron is the best player in the NBA more recently than he said Kobe was the best. Let me also add a few more names to the mix as you seem to love this. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Jerry West, Charles Barkley, and Oscar Robertson all have said LeBron is the best, and has a chance to be the best ever. Hell, Charles Barkley says it every night.
@tiyutit Magic already restated that he had passed the torch to lebron too early and it was actually kobe. You need to see more. I dont love this. It is just a proof that kobe is better. Charles Barkley? You serious? Charles Barkley even say kobe is better. That was one time that he even told lebron to shut up
Lebron?....Clutch!

@xlordongx Lebron, 7.6 assists per game. And not taking 30+ shots a game.
dngo 1 month ago 2
@dngo KB is taking 25 shots per game to LBJ's 19 shots per game.
Not to mention he's been playing with an injured wrist for most of the season and has been missing the 3 ball about as badly as a player can shoot it because of the injury.
Injured wrist, shooting finger ligament still torn and still going for 40+x3 and leading the league in PPG. Not bad for just taking 6 more shots than LBJ considering... don't you think?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@dngo Oh yeah, KB has 5.5 assists per game himself.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@dngo Thats cause he cant finish, so he looks for wade or bosh to finish for him, hence the assists. While kobe can score, can finish in the rim, his teammates know that too, thats why low assists rate, and high points
xlordongx 1 month ago
@xlordongx Even without bosh and wade. Lebron avg 7+ assists with cleveland. Thats number 1 with small forwards. With those crappy teammates.
ok you agree that his teammates realize kobe will have the ball and shoot a lot. Low assists and hight points and lots shot attempts. Lebron High Assists, Higher scoring the kobe, and less shot attempts. And he had better record than the lakers with miami and cleveland in the last 4 years
peco017 1 month ago

@peco017 "LA beginning this year was losing alot until Bynum"
OR, they were losing a lot because Kobe had a wrist injury? Or they were losing because it's perfectly normal to lose a string of games in this league? Do you not remember how badly Miami did last year at the beginning? Is a sample size of a few games appropriate to draw a conclusion like Bynum was the reason? lmfao. You must work for Fox News arguing like this.
First thing you learn in statistics is to not make idiotic assumptions
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 "You do know that you can't compare ratings with the players in the 80s and 90s"
Never has Hollinger even said that this was the case, but you are the expert on PER not Hollinger lol!
"they didnt have hand check rule, back to basket rule, ect"
And they didn't have a legal zone nor do they have a modern defense and slower pace to make scoring slower. Hand checks must have made scoring impossible and yet players in the 80s-90s score significantly more than modern players. Nice try.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 "Hand checks must have made scoring impossible and yet players in the 80s-90s score significantly more than modern players. LOL nice try but you seem like the slower one
peco017 1 month ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@peco017 "you're the one who said player efficency rating was different in the 90s"
You have got to be kidding me. When did I say that PER was different in the 90s? Are you retarded? I said specifically that, according to PER, Wade should be considered top 6 all time. And that Rose should not have won the MVP so unanimously with only 23 PER.
That's exactly what I said.
I said nothing about not being able to cross compare 80s-90s player's PERs you fucking twit.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 I also did not say that you said Bynum carried the lakers to wins. You said they only started winning because of Bynum, I pointed it out to you that Bynum has not played a single full season in his 6, going on 7 years in the league now. The reason why they started winning was a player who didn't play very much, that makes sense.
What is your reading level at or do you just argue like Fox News and put words into people's mouths?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago

peco017 1 month ago
@peco017 You = Fox News.
"No you didnt say it translated across eras"
Good, you admit it now that you couldn't find it in the quotes. Fox News likes to say things and misquote people for bullshit arguments, just like you tried to do. Took me two comments to get you to retract.
I brought up the PER because you want to compare players using PER. Is this rocket science? If you want to use PER to say A is better than B. Then you are saying Wade = 6th best all time. It's basic logic. You follow?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 THEN WHY ARGUE THAT YOU COULDNT COMPARE! JUST STOP!
peco017 1 month ago
@peco017 Oh wow, dodge the Wade all time question and the D Rose question. Nice.
Dodge more. Basic questions.
You better start a petition on D Rose winning MVP last year. According to you and Hollinger, D Rose definitely did not deserve the MVP. He probably isn't even top 10 in the league in PER among the MVP candidates. He clearly stole the MVP through some conspiracy because PER says he's not the MVP by far.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 D rose should not have won MVP last year according to you. Lmao.
Fucking moron don't even know the formula for PER. Kobe putting up the same exact stats but is doing two things differently:
1) Taking more 2 pointers because of his wrist injury
2) Playing more minutes
These two things are among the chief criticisms of the FLAWS in PER, and also the reason why KB's PER Is 26.8 this year. Even though he is playing the exact same way/stats he did last season.
Ignorant scrub.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Your a fucking moron. MVP is chosen by a pannel of voters. Just because its chosen doesn't mean its right. And im not taking anything from rose. No the PER counts in rebounds, assists, points, turnovers, all in a set of time. So kobe plays more produces less. Just shut up before you call strangers on the internet Fucking Morons.
Ignorant scrub.
peco017 1 month ago
@peco017 "MVP chosen by a panel of voters", captain obvious.
Rose won it unanimously. It wasn't even close. And no one looked at PER and say, hey! 23 PER, this guy isn't as good as this guy. They watched basketball.
This isn't a close decision. Rose's PER says he is not even a top 10 MVP candidate, Hollinger says so with his chart! lmfao
"I'm not taking anything from Rose"
uh huh. Rose/Nash/Bird/Magic/Kareem/Russell = inconvenient for PER arguments, sorry. Don't bring them up, gotcha.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 Oh my, the PER does not count points, but rather the TS % and the amount of shot attempts and rewards/punishes them according to how Hollinger, just some statistician who works at ESPN, says they should count. Hollinger = not basketball Jesus sorry. Nor is he particularly a well-respected statistician.
Here's the most common comment about PER;
'it is deeply flawed'
Here's what Hollinger says about PER:
'it is flawed'
My advice, take at least in statistic class before you talk.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 You can say it counts points if you like, but seeing as it is tied to all this:
VOP = lg_PTS / (lg_FGA - lg_ORB + lg_TOV + 0.44 * lg_FTA).
Is it still a figure that is about scoring? Why is offensive rebounding/FTA in there? That would automatically reward players who shoot closer to the basket and can get their own rebounds or get fouled. Points is far and away NOT a stand alone variable in PER. Which is why PER fails to describe the value of so many players in this league, PG/SG.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Lebron dominates kobe in almost every category. Points they are virtually tied per game this year. But kobe is shooting 24% From 3, We dont even need to look at PER. Im done no excuses, hard facts.
peco017 1 month ago
@peco017 Oh, the idiot finally is done arguing for PER and going on to other stats. That's fine. So you mean you're done with PER. Gotcha.
Kobe is shooting 2nd worst in the 4th quarter from the 3 point line, absolutely terrible for sure. Injured wrist does that to your range. Wade's stats are also shit right now cuz of his injuries too, or is he just shitty for no reason like Kobe?
Kobe shooting 24% at the 3 for no reason other than he sucks? Nice 'facts'.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 ok if kobe realizes that he has the injured wrist than why does he keep shooting if he's missing? huh i thought he had a high basketball iq? wtf is your problem man. and yea his fg% is shit. He has never had a season above 50%. "Oh the idiot finally is done arguing for PER and going on to other stats." you idiot the PER pretty much covers overall stats. I switched arguing cause you kept getting butthurt over it.
peco017 1 month ago
@peco017 lol you said you were done about 6 times thus far, still not done, stop saying it. I know you like to say random shit but please, do stop that.
"PER pretty much covers overall stats"
Kidding me lmfao. You still don't understand why other statisticians hate PER.
Look, I know you didn't take a single statistic class in your life, by the way you argue, college is like not part of the equation either.
But PER = broken. It is not a statistic, it's a derivative of statistics - a bad one.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@peco017 if he dominates kobe in every category, why didnt he win dallas in 2011 finals? While kobe led the lakers to a repeat in 2009 and 2010? If he was owning kobe in every aspect, wouldnt he be able to win dallas? And there wade and bosh on that team

peco017 1 month ago in playlist More videos from NBA
@peco017 Lol at you comparing prime Lebron's stats to 33 year old Kobe.
Prime KB was 35.5 ppg at 49% eFG. I'm not even gonna mention his all-time games/streaks during his prime.
Where does Bron own KB at other than positional bonuses that ALL players at the forward benefit from? Higher shooting %, rebounds, blocks are all positional advantages that all forwards share - playing near the post has these benefits. And this is 33 year old Kobe with injured wrist/torn ligament in shooting finger ha!
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Positional advantage? LeBron and Kobe are both wing players, LeBron gets more rebounds because he is bigger and stronger. He gets more blocks because of his phenomenal athleticism. He has a higher shooting percentage because he is a beast when it comes to attacking the basket. In a sense they are incomparable. LeBron is a point-forward with a team first mentality while Kobe has a scorer's mentality. .
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit Bron is a Forward, with an F, not to be confused with Guard as in G. They play from the wing but they are not the same position. I wonder why we even make the damn distinction if there is no difference eh?
"Lebron gets more rebounds because he's bigger and stronger"
True. But more true is good S. forward averages 10~ rebound rate (per 48) and shoots 55% TS minimum.
Highest among SG per game, 6, KB 2nd best rebounding guard in the league.
SF = 8. No positional?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 I find it funny that people compare the scoring attribute of LeBron's game to that of Kobe's. It's funny, because scoring isn't LeBron's best attribute offensively - his ability to get into the lane and fine teammates is top quality. On the other hand, scoring is Kobe's only attribute (barring the fact that they are both great defenders).
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit "He has a higher shooting percentage because he is a beast when it comes to attacking the basket"
Avg. shooting FG% among top guards, not even gonna have to go into eFG or TS for this one, is .45~. KB, top 6 even with the injury.
Avg. shooting FG% leaders among SF,
.47-.49~
No positional advantage? Maybe players who play SF are just better shooters than guards eh?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 bottom line Lebron shoots 58% and Kobe 46%....your point?
MyCockIsNotForYou 1 month ago in playlist More videos from NBA
@MyCockIsNotForYou Lebron shoots 58%? Oh boy, here we go. Another kid that needs lots of explanations. If all that's being said thus far hasn't clued you into anything then I can't say anymore.
If you think LBJ shoots 58%, try basketball reference. His career ( we use career not just a few games in a season to measure okay kiddo?) is:
FG%, .481%
eFG%, .514%
TS%, .567
Now run along, and look up Kobe's eFG, and TS. If you need to know why, try googling the reasons okay? Daddys not in the mood
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Stop trying dude, LeBron - most efficient offensive player in the league the last what? 3 years? Not to mention being in the top 5 basically every year except his rookie year.
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit Ray Allen = most offensively efficient scorer in the league - all time. Barkley was 2nd most efficient, all time. And?
LBJ is having a career year, but we're 15 games in, what did daddy teaching you about counting your chickens?
And LBJ is awesomely efficient, more so than KB. Doesn't make him better.
Point per shot from the field;
MJ 1.02
Wade .99
KB .98
LBJ 1.025
And notice that LBJ is the only SF in the group. Compare the SF to the Guards more. Oh right, you didn't reply to that
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Actually, I don't use Youtube every day, nor check email everyday. And I was using PER (player efficiency rating). LeBron has had a PER over 30 for the last 5 or so years, which is kind of a big deal.
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit PER = broken. You have yet to address a single flaw that I've brought up, including why VOP includes offensive rebounds and handles it with so much weight.
PER scores are directly correlated to position played on the court because it weights offensive rebounds so highly. Not to mention, it doesn't measure offensive efficiency but includes all stats.
So your "lebron is the most offensively efficient player" using PER doesn't hold water.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@tiyutit What'd you do, wait until a couple days cycle by and all the comments get pushed out of the way so people don't see you dodging points before you reply with some obscure comment like "LBJ is the most efficient offensive player in the league"?
By what metric are you using anyway? OER? PPS? PPP?
Or just random noob bullshit like "OMGZ LBJ Is most efficient" and I'm to take your word for it? Show me the math. You gotta learn how to take a loss.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 i think they used PER which sucks as a stat

wow, they also say that KB is a better player. This is your argument? Rings aren't part of the equation when talking about a player's ability to win? 2008 olympics? 5 rings?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@tiyutit Ask any player/coach in the league who the better player is between KB and LBJ if we're going on opinion. Try and pick a fight on this.
90% of the players/coaches in the league have KB down for the best in the game. End of story. But PER says etc. so it's true right right. PER is all you need to know about basketball. Best stat evarz. Done.
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago
@thiennguyenX2 Fuck dude, you've got a lot of shit to say. I'll give you the stats, you put a ton of words in to try make Kobe's poor shooting % and lack of team play sound good. tiyutit 1 month ago

Are you for real? 49% career eFG is bad!??? Do you know Michael fucking Jordan's career eFG is 51%!? Why are you talking?
thiennguyenX2 1 month ago

@xlordongx First of all, Bosh isn't a top 10 player. Secondly, how the fuck do you win three championships in a year and a half?
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit your logic is seriously screwed. You said it yourself, that the shaq kobe combo took 3 years then they started winning. And btw i said top 20 also. Carrying on, then i said with the big 3 they should achieve the 3 rings at a faster rate, WHICH MEANS, not taking 3 years to starting winning the first ring. I still need to explain this ==
xlordongx 1 month ago
@xlordongx I'm still trying to figure out what point you are trying to make? Are you saying that Miami doesn't have a solid big three? You don't think they're going to win championships? Why are you trying to compare them to an 8 year dynasty when they've only been together for a year and a half? What are you trying to prove? Also, the 5 spot is the most important position along with the 1 in basketball, the Lakers had the best 5 in the game along with the best or second best 2.
tiyutit 1 month ago
@tiyutit i didnt say they do not have a solid big 3. im just saying they should already be winning championship at this point

@xlordongx Yeah exactly, in LeBron you have arguably the most talented and greatest young player ever to come into the NBA. In Kobe you have a guy who rode along with Shaq to 3 championships, winning NO finals MVPs. And finally, you have 2 MVPs to 1 in LeBron's favour.
tiyutit 4 weeks ago
@tiyutit rode along shaq? Nah, i wont go there. With shaq alone he couldnt have won the 3 peat at all. the kobe shaq combo made it happen. not only shaq get it right. And it is still a 3 championship, no like lebron none? Age 27, 81 points against raptors. 2006, scoring leader of the league. 8 all star appearance. 3x all defense first team. 4x all NBA first team. And all these was just when kobe was 27
xlordongx 4 weeks ago
@xlordongx Well put it this way, he played the same role Gasol played in the 2009-2010 championships, he was a great player - one of the best in the league, but he had NOTHING on Shaq. Shaq definitely couldn't of won without Kobe, everybody needs help, and nobody had done it on their own. You seriously want to turn to stats? Okay fine.
LeBron at 27:
5x 1st All-NBA
3x 1st Team Defense
2x NBA MVP
Rookie of the Year
7x NBA All-star
NBA Scoring Champ 2008
2x NBA All-Star Game MVP
tiyutit 4 weeks ago
@tiyutit Kobe was 2x scoring champ dude. Rookie of the year? Who did lebron had to compete with? Kobe had to compete with allen iverson to get that award.
xlordongx 4 weeks ago
@xlordongx Okay, now I know you lack any knowledge of Basketball. Who did LeBron have to compete with? The second best(only to the MJ, Charles Barkley draft) draft EVER. LeBron, Carmelo, D-Wade, Chris Bosh. I can't believe you could say something so horribly incorrect. Also, Kobe didn't have a shot at ROY, he averaged 7ppg, off the bench.
tiyutit 4 weeks ago
@tiyutit allen iverson could own those guys. in the mj era, when kobe was in the lakers, the team has many greats in the team. He was just a rookie how could he enter the starting line up? Payton? any bells ringing? lebron easily got the starting lineup in cavs as you can see the cavs dont have many greats like the lakers did during the mj era
xlordongx 4 weeks ago
@xlordongx LeBron already has as many achievements as Iverson racked up throughout his whole career. LeBron and D-Wade are two of the most talented players ever, regardless of era. Both are hall-of-famers if they retired today. Kobe was not a starting caliber player when he entered the NBA, while LeBron would've been a surefire starter on any team when he came into the league because of his potential AND current talent.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit when kobe went into the nba, it was still filled with many HOFs dont you know. When lebron entered the NBA was there as many greats as when kobe entered?
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx This holds no ground, EVERY era has HOFs, expect Wade, Nash, James, Bryant, Howard, Nowitski, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Rose, Durant, etc, etc, etc. To be in the HOF.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Regardless of who was playing at the time, Kobe wasn't good enough to start, and LeBron was. Let's not forget they came into the league only 7 years apart, stop acting as if Kobe is old school.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Also, Kobe entered the league at the end of every HOF player I imagine you are going to list. He entered when the likes of Shaq and Duncan were beginning their careers and dominating for the next 5-10 years. When LeBron entered, Shaq and Duncan were still winning.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit when lebron entered theres only shaq and duncan. when kobe entered, there are many HOF. I wouldnt say that when he entered it is the end of their careers. They are still dominating
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Let's get this straight. You can say there were many HOFs that were finishing their careers' when Kobe was playing but that is only because they are DONE their careers' now. After all, you have to retire before you can get into the HOF. They weren't HOFs when they were still playing obviously. There will be several players from this generation accepted into the HOF, I named quite a few, and could name quite a few more if you want.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx ONLY Shaq and Duncan? What about the others I listed? Also many of the HOFs I'm sure you are implying (Jordan, Olajuwon, Robinson), were all finishing their careers. MJ made a comeback in 2001, but he wasn't a first caliber player anyway.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit When jordan made a comeback he was STILL a first caliber player if you wan to group it that way. He was 40 but he was somehow dominating the court at times
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Okay, so now you've abandoned your old argument and have decided to start a new one. That's fine. 1st caliber would be a stretch, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Kobe Bryant were all entering their prime. MJ might've been the 4th best at his position.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit when the HOF were finish their careers, they were still dominating. He made 40 points in the age of 40. Many cant even hit 40 points a game
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx That's all fine and good, but nobody cares about 1 game, sorry. It doesn't change the fact that he was the 4th or 5th best at his position. Define dominating, because they weren't.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx MJ won in 1998, after than it was Duncan or Shaq for the next 5 years, Detroit in '04, Duncan in '05, Shaq in '06, Duncan in '07, Garnett in '08, Kobe in '09-10, and now Dallas. HOFs dominating? Where?
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit you yourself said shaq and duncan are future HOFs. Then you said duncan and shaq won it for the next five years, if that isnt dominating, i dont know what is
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx That makes no sense. What does that have to do with anything, Shaq and Duncan are both from LeBron and Bryant's era, ergo you have no argument.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit Bryant was playing in 2 strong eras filled with many of the greatest to play the game. While when lebron came in, there wasnt much left
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx You keep repeating the same points, but in different sentence format. Bryant's era and Lebron's era are one of the same. I didn't think I would need to repeat my former point, but I will anyway. When it's all said and done, this era will boast several HOFs.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit This is called emphaisising the points you cant argue. Which era's HOFs is better? Think about it
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx I can' argue that? In terms of talent that generation is better? Or in terms of achievements? Let's think about this. Obviously, the previous generation has several players that accomplished great feats, but that's not what we are talking about. Rings don't make a player more talented. In terms of talent, players are only continuing to become better and better. If anything, this generation has seen the rise of the most athletic and physically talented players ever.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit Lets just bring this back. Way back. Kobe is better than lebron
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Tell me what Kobe can do better and then we'll talk. LeBron rebounds better, he is a better passer and averages more assists, he is a better ball-handler, he scores the same amount of points per game while shooting 10% better from the field, he averages more steals per game, he averages more blocks per game. All of this for a winning team, while Kobe's team is 12-9 and has only surpassed 100 points in two games this season.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit Magic, Dennis, Phil Jackson, Lebron himself, said that kobe is better than lebron? Mj even said that only kobe is able to be compared to mj, lebron is not.
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx As a baskeball player, Kobe is definitely better than LeBron, because he has 5 RINGS. In terms of physical talent, LeBron is better. Not to mention all of those comparisons are years old. Dude just shut the fuck up because you have nothing. Absolutely nothing.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit oh ho? Losing already then tell people to shut the fuck up?? Hahaha joke like what. Comparisions are years old?? Magic's comment was in 2011, so was jordan's. Are those years old? You sense of logic is seriously screwed. Maybe you should go home and cry now. Lose already dont want to admit. Dont put up a big front, cause you have none
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Please direct me to these comments. I'm almost positive I have seen the videos you are referring to. MJ's comparison was in August of 2009. I heard Magic say LeBron is the best in the game while watching the Bulls play the Heat on Sunday. Losing? I've shut down every argument you've made and you continue to change the subject, and fail to make new points.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx And if you want to use past NBA players as excuses for which player is better I'll give you some. Jerry West believes that LeBron is the best in the NBA and has believed this for the past 3-4 years. Oscar Robertson also confirms this, and states LeBron as "being in a class of his own". See? I can make useless points too.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit Useless points? The greatest to play the games giving such comments are useless? You may have a screw loose.
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx There are five unique positions, and match-ups always differ. Players opinions are important to an extent but there is definitely bias when players give those opinions. I'd take a Coach/GM's opinion over a players opinion, after all, they build the team and obviously know what is going on. Notice how MJ's team can't win a damn game?
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit so phil jackson isnt a coach??
xlordongx 3 weeks ago
@xlordongx Phil Jackson was never a good NBA player, he wasn't a great by any stretch of the imagination. Also, just so were clear, Magic said LeBron is the best player in the NBA more recently than he said Kobe was the best. Let me also add a few more names to the mix as you seem to love this. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Jerry West, Charles Barkley, and Oscar Robertson all have said LeBron is the best, and has a chance to be the best ever. Hell, Charles Barkley says it every night.
tiyutit 3 weeks ago
@tiyutit Magic already restated that he had passed the torch to lebron too early and it was actually kobe. You need to see more. I dont love this. It is just a proof that kobe is better. Charles Barkley? You serious? Charles Barkley even say kobe is better. That was one time that he even told lebron to shut up
