Plenty of bullshitting from non-informed YouTuber's I see... aside from that, it looks to me as if the plane lost control of the elevator. The plane is well recovered from the spin that the pilot put it into...headed straight towards the ground at high speed. You can then see the pilot try to pull up, but it does not work. He tries again, and it just rolls, still headed at the ground. I'm telling you, something in that plane broke during or just after that spin...................
man. I still think he wasn't intending to do the one revolution inverted spin. I think the plane did something weird on him. you can hear him cut the engine. taking into account the delay of sound he cut the engine around the first revolution of the inverted spin. cutting the engine is a way of stopping a maneuver cold. I think that plane bit him and he couldn't recover. RIP

@12342321 It does for thoose around him so they dident have to think that it maybe could do some differens, and to the next airshow,,...if there is another crash..
@12342321 Mr Jensen had already perished? You are not sure because you were not there right after impact to prove that. There are lot of things attached to such situations. Could have been passed out, or seriously injured due to they wear crash protection gear. Letting him burn in the crash for such a long period will easily kill him after ingesting so much smoke and even if you perish, your loved ones still need your body as presentable as they can. CLEAR?
@praveen24121 sorry for the confusion, what I meant was that the second that plane impacted, as u saw, he was passed away. Yes, he could have been passed out or another problem you are correct. it didnt matter how long the crash rescue would have taken, as hot and fast as the fire was, he was cremated. CLEAR ?
@12342321 You are just one of those people that will never get it! Again you are saying he had passed away the moment plane impacted and neither you or anybody was there by the plane as it impacted. And you saying he was cremated in 2.5 minutes that the crash burned before fire trucks arrived. Don't you know at real human crematoriums, it takes 2 hours for the body to cremate? And if you look at other videos posted at YT, fire wasn't really burning in cockpit area. God!! CLEAR?
@praveen24121 pretty sure a 200' fall would kill a person instantly, this one was at velocity carrying significant intertia beyond the weight the human body could absorb... highly likely broke his spine and crushed his organs on impact.
the fire here is really a non-factor. It'd be much the same if you were dropped from 200' strapped to a sheet of plywood, you're pretty much 100% dead. just think about physics for second please.

Why does anyone do anything that puts their life in danger? You stand as much chance having a wheel fall off your car while you're driving to work. Most of these are the result of technical failures of a part of the aircraft. Out of thousands of performance each year - you're going to have accidents. Heck my father's best friend died in a Blue Angels' head on collision back in the 80's. Sh_t happens...and that's unfortunate.
I could have ran there with a fire extinguisher in half the fucking time they took. Wow hope they feel like shit. Not like they could have saved his life though

And besides the tragedy of this man dying, there's the additional tragedy of people giving money to get some cheap-assed transient thrill, because they're fucking bored as hell and have nothing to do with their lives. Seriously, people, evolve a little, and try a little harder next time. Read a fucking book or something.

Everyone understand that? Good. More Techicnical Jargon, and. LACK OF ALTITUDE IS THE REST OF CASE. ." Really? I think that had NOTHING to do with any plane crash, ever. How does lack of altitude fit into this picture? Can you explain that? It just doesnt.
@clearjet yes, it is the best they could do.. what, they want the truck to be instantly there?
RIP to the pilot.. i, too, had lost someone close due to an airshow, it was my dad's friend, and i flew with him, too, before (watch?v=Bw5bU-qWcEQ).. my condolences to his family and friends.. RIP, pilot..
Yes it does, well not here i realize that. Normal respondtime is 90 seconds from alarm goes, for firetrucks to get to scen in runwayarea. In airshows there are rules that is: Firecrews in fullgear, in trucks, engine going, to reduce time to maximum 20 sec cause to big chanses to many victims in airshows. In this case there wasent any due to a bad organisation I belive. Well this time it only should be a better memory for spectators in the aftermatts to deal with.
@clearjet For one and from airfield firefighters point of view, the response time should have been instant as the trucks are right there at the airfield ready for a tragedy to occur. Honestly, firefighters in third world countries would have been much quicker and if they are already there, why take longer? Do i really think it mattered? YES because nobody knows for sure if he was dead on impact. Who knows, seriously injured, passed out and ingesting alot of smoke could easily kill anybody.
Found videos of Bryan Jensen doing this stunt successfully.
It appears that this time it went tragically wrong, the plane did an extra tumble and came out in an inverted spin. My un-schooled opinion is that he was disoriented or blacked out since there was plenty of altitude to recover. He was killed instantly on impact, the response time of the emergency crew made no difference.
happened because he went into a inverted spin (L) after what looked like a "lomcovak" maneuver, then he killed the power, when the aircraft came upright on recovery it went into a secondary spin (upright L) as he would have pulled too hard back on the stick due to being too close to the ground. the Pitt's will do that to the best of pilots. the aircraft was spinning left hand inverted (needing R rudder) then on recovery spun left-hand upright into the ground. sadly too low to recover. sad.
For everyone who says "it doesn't matter how fast they got there, he was dead anyways", you are correct. However, the slow response to the crash illustrates problems with the emergency preparedness of this airshow. What if the crash had not been quite as severe and the pilot was trapped inside a crushed fuselage with the wings leaking fuel? The response time of the fire trucks would have been the difference between life or death.
it is sad to see a fellow aerobatic pilot die but as 1 would say "die what u love doing the most in life" but what i did see is the slow and low response time with the emergency crews that 1 should have been ready at all times 2 pathways and roads for the vehicals shouldn"t have had ppl blocking them in the first place any time delayed is time lost. R.I.P my brother may u watch over your fellow pilots in spirit
@CAPSLOCKBRO Response time of the emergency personnel is evaluated here. This doesn't go for this one situation only but future scenarios as well. You could imagine he was dead upon impact, but really you never know and are unsure. If he was alive with injuries, the emergency personnel burned him to death and if he was dead, his family would still want his body to be at least presentable during funeral. As we know airshows involve some risky maneuvers and fire dept should be ready at all times.
I Have to agree that the guy said there trained for this sort of thing... the car got there within 15 seconds but couldn't do anything... s truck pulled up slow and couldn't do anything, and personally the fire truck didn't look to be rushing st all and didnt spray till it was right infant of it... then then u see a stream of eater being fired from a distance... American EMS are not all that great. Sort yourselves out. There are to many flaws in that one incident, how often does that happen..
Are you fucking kidding me! It took them like 3 minutes just to get there! Even of the guy lived the crash he burnt to death because of those dumb ass people. Dude Fuck Kansas.
I was almost as close as universal5fan, and it was, frankly, a nightmare. I knew he died from the impact. The response was less than a couple of minutes.
Stop all the self-proclaimed expert opinions. No one on YouTube is a better pilot, and who knows what really happened. In the end, sure, you cam say the fire truck was late getting there, but let's get real guys. Bryan died instantly. He was probably at 85 knots or so and went straight in. The g-forces in an impact like this are massive. I just hope he was either unconscious (although it sounds like he throttled back). Very sad for his family, the Airshow circuit and 'Team Beast'. In an instant
A red SUV was there in 25 seconds... It took 2 minutes for a firetruck to get there. Every airshow I've ever been at has at least one firetruck with the crew in full gear watching from the end of the viewing area. I don't see how it took so long to get there...
I was there, and it seemed lie forever that emergency services showed up. After watching this, it was less than 2 minutes. Frankly, that's fast. If it had been a different crash, I don't know if it would have made a difference (clearly here to us watching, it didn't). I think people get used to seeing movies/tv where airport emergency services are "waiting in the wings" and in this case, that wasn't possible - he could have crashed anywhere. It's a nightmare I still have most nights.
I was there too. I refuse to speculate on what happened except to say it was a nightmare to see. I know there are debates about EMS services to the site, and other issues. I only speak to what I *know* it was a horrible scene I have always worried about in the back of my head when I am at airshows, but I managed to put it "in the back of my head" or I would't enjoy avaiation.
Hey lizardman. Fuck you. I'm not an idiot. I've been around the fire department all my life. No matter how horrible an accident can be. You are the first responder. And on full alert at all times. This department dragged ther ass. Fuck. You. Have a nice day.

For all those folks complaining about how long it took for the trucks to arrive... do you really think it mattered?

@clearjet what do my tax dollars go to?
davids8aff 5 months ago
@clearjet yes, it is the best they could do.. what, they want the truck to be instantly there?
RIP to the pilot.. i, too, had lost someone close due to an airshow, it was my dad's friend, and i flew with him, too, before (watch?v=Bw5bU-qWcEQ).. my condolences to his family and friends.. RIP, pilot..
bayusuputra1302 5 months ago
Yes it does, well not here i realize that. Normal respondtime is 90 seconds from alarm goes, for firetrucks to get to scen in runwayarea. In airshows there are rules that is: Firecrews in fullgear, in trucks, engine going, to reduce time to maximum 20 sec cause to big chanses to many victims in airshows. In this case there wasent any due to a bad organisation I belive. Well this time it only should be a better memory for spectators in the aftermatts to deal with.
67Joakim 5 months ago
@clearjet For one and from airfield firefighters point of view, the response time should have been instant as the trucks are right there at the airfield ready for a tragedy to occur. Honestly, firefighters in third world countries would have been much quicker and if they are already there, why take longer? Do i really think it mattered? YES because nobody knows for sure if he was dead on impact. Who knows, seriously injured, passed out and ingesting alot of smoke could easily kill anybody.
praveen24121 4 months ago
Found videos of Bryan Jensen doing this stunt successfully.
It appears that this time it went tragically wrong, the plane did an extra tumble and came out in an inverted spin. My un-schooled opinion is that he was disoriented or blacked out since there was plenty of altitude to recover. He was killed instantly on impact, the response time of the emergency crew made no difference.

So basically the drivers of the red car and white SUV were virtually useless in responding. Good job rescue team! Epic Fail.

happened because he went into a inverted spin (L) after what looked like a "lomcovak" maneuver, then he killed the power, when the aircraft came upright on recovery it went into a secondary spin (upright L) as he would have pulled too hard back on the stick due to being too close to the ground. the Pitt's will do that to the best of pilots. the aircraft was spinning left hand inverted (needing R rudder) then on recovery spun left-hand upright into the ground. sadly too low to recover. sad.

What a ridiculous response time. Worse than Katrina.
julius923 6 months ago

He smashed into the ground nose first in a fiery explosion.
I don't think it would've made a difference if emergency got there in 2 minutes or 10 seconds.
CAPSLOCKBRO 6 months ago
@CAPSLOCKBRO Response time of the emergency personnel is evaluated here. This doesn't go for this one situation only but future scenarios as well. You could imagine he was dead upon impact, but really you never know and are unsure. If he was alive with injuries, the emergency personnel burned him to death and if he was dead, his family would still want his body to be at least presentable during funeral. As we know airshows involve some risky maneuvers and fire dept should be ready at all times.
praveen24121 6 months ago
looks liek a flat spin turned into a high speed stall, look liked he tried to pull out 1 or 2 times
1littlelee 6 months ago
I Have to agree that the guy said there trained for this sort of thing... the car got there within 15 seconds but couldn't do anything... s truck pulled up slow and couldn't do anything, and personally the fire truck didn't look to be rushing st all and didnt spray till it was right infant of it... then then u see a stream of eater being fired from a distance... American EMS are not all that great. Sort yourselves out. There are to many flaws in that one incident, how often does that happen..

That is very sad the loss of the pilot and that was the only plane of it's kind very devastating
Oldfaithles 6 months ago
I was there, and it seemed lie forever that emergency services showed up. After watching this, it was less than 2 minutes. Frankly, that's fast. If it had been a different crash, I don't know if it would have made a difference (clearly here to us watching, it didn't). I think people get used to seeing movies/tv where airport emergency services are "waiting in the wings" and in this case, that wasn't possible - he could have crashed anywhere. It's a nightmare I still have most nights.
robbkcmo 6 months ago
I was there too. I refuse to speculate on what happened except to say it was a nightmare to see. I know there are debates about EMS services to the site, and other issues. I only speak to what I *know* it was a horrible scene I have always worried about in the back of my head when I am at airshows, but I managed to put it "in the back of my head" or I would't enjoy avaiation.
