Well we have a sport that is identical to baseball but with a smaller ball and no gloves, in other words it's harder to hit the ball and requires more technique to catch properly without hurting yourself, it's called rounders and it's what you Americans copied to make baseball.

Union's contestation at the tackle requires a more methodical approach to open up room to score.
