Wow, did Buddy Dee ever revitalize this song which was a hit by someone else back in the pre-rock and roll era. I can't believe how uptempled this song sounds here, it originally was a layback song on the hit parade back in the later forties or early fifties and no it wasn't Guy Mitchell sing to Irene. I really didn't take off on music unrtil about 1961 & of coarse r&r was well underway witjh the likes of Frankie Avalon, Ricky Nelson and Freddy Cannon hitting the top 40 charts constantly. Thx
