A Poignant and sombre speach,well delivered and a year on STILL utterly relevant to the threat facing the state of Israel,i am stunned at the muted response from the international community on Iran and its nuclear program,the iranians are undoubtedly developing weapons ,they are threathening to wipe israel off the map,and the world sleeps,i am beyond furious.

Great speech, I feel that a war between Iran and Israel is imminent. the world has to choose sides now because if we can't stop it, hopefully we can end it.

Excellent up until 7:55 when Netanyahu, who I greatly respect & pray for, began to place the state over God as the source of strength, as the shield & hope...I hope I am just misunderstanding this, because if this is done, if trust is placed in men, then God's clear commands not to give up land will be sacrificed to please the "allies" & world, and this will result in divine judgment & another Holocaust coming upon Israel sooner.

1- I am Christian, not Jewish, but I'll tell you what I believe: we have a say "God helps the ones who help themselves", that is God wants us to help ourselves, by strugling, by having a strong state, by having faith, by praying... It is clear that God wanted Jews to have again a Jew state in Israel, if not... how big where the chances you had?...not too much. It was a miracle. asunagullo, that quote "God helps the ones who help themselves" is by deist non-Christian Ben Franklin. Islamic problem has roots in incident where Abe & Sarah tried to "help" God out to fulfill covenant promise of an heir and ended up with Ishmael. btw, I'm not a pacifist, and even have a playlist, 'Israel: Self-defense is right and good", but God is Israel's "shield":

Well maybe you are right, but I've heard it all along my life, and just now I looked it up in the internet (in Spanish) and while many other quotes are supposed to be from famous people, this one says: Old Spanish proverb.... Any way I had never heard that interesting explanation of Sara and Abraham fulfilling God's promise... they should have forgotten bout Agar... the world would be a more peaceful place now. asungullo, I am not Jewish as you may think by your comment "remember our Old Gospel is exactly your Torah," but I certainly love the Torah (tho it was never called a gospel), which is why I urge all Jews to support obedience to God's clear command in the Torah & not to use mere human wisdom in the name of "pragmatism" to give up any of the land within the God given boundaries, seeing as how this is not a grey area in Torah. Things like refugees, compensation, etc..sure, debateable, land: No.

Yes, you are right I thought you were Jewish. The Torah is what we call old Gospel, the name is not the important issue,but the message of God contained in the words of the prophets. I absolutey agree with you, land can't be given back to them, but I disagree about refugees, if they allow refugees to come back (700,000 left, now they are 5,000,000) there would be the same number of Jews than Muslims in Israel; in 10 years time they would outnumber Jews, and they would distroy Israel & kill Jews.

Whoa, stop for a second. You disagree with me about refugees? I haven't even said my position on refugees, so how can you disagree? All I said was that from the Torah point of view, refugee & compensation issues are not specified as non-negotiable matters, but that giving away the land is. For the record, I am against allowing any real refugees, much less any so-called refugees (great grandsons of refugees, for ex) into Israel.

2nd part: Compensation? for what? for leaving their homes, mostly at the request of Arabs? Muslims expelled 800,000 Jews from Muslim countries in which Jews had lived since much before Mohammed was born. They are not going to compensate Jews. The real fact is that Palestinians declared goal is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews, besides destrying West after that. Do you think Jews can "debate" with them? NO. Pragmatism also says with clear and lowd voice STAND FIRM at the land GOD gave you.

And maybe it is not only the survival of Israel what depends on your strenght, maybe humanity as we know it today would not survive if Israel falls, maybe West would succumb with you.
