Someone else commented that accidents are "Totally out of my hands" I think not! Perhaps some accidents are, but you still have your hand on the throttle and your foot on the brakes. I rode for many years and I had one accident! Broke my arm and taught me a lesson.
I wish all bikers a safe journey through life and feel sadness for all who did not make it...
if you have never been in a motorcycle accident it only means its closer to happening drive safe and watch out for the people who are distracted they are everywhere

I ride almost every single day but I do the speed limit & I ride an american made bike. Yeah my GSX-R 600 K4 is a total wreck. But Thanks to leather protection and a good helmet I only broke my leg twice... really lucky though! Keep safe!!!

the deer and the tractor in the clip show that circumstances are not always controlled ... iv ridden a lot and iv sped on roads too, but my worst crash was when i was following the speed limit and lane and a car cut into me without indicating... u just dont have any time to react..
The key is to get so drunk you can't walk but can still ride. Doesn't hurt as much when you come off and you feel like a real man. You get a better feel for the road without a helmet too.

No matter how acreful you are, how you develop your intuition and adjust; what do you do if you stand still for a traffic light and an idiot in a car rides witht high speed in on you from behind. That happened to me and until today I carry the scars. Bikers are careful enough, it are the car drivers who are most times ignorant.

cbr125 and rs125 both seem to be in the same price range, only the rs has more hp than a kawasaki ninja 250, and the cbr 125 has less than half the power of the rs 125. the cbr looks like a toy too, yet too many peeps get it at 17.

You are right, do not need to dwell on death. People die when crossing the road. There are many ways for people to die. Lets remember how people lived their lives.

This should be shown to every L plater going for a bike licence !! and every car driver should be shown how to turn their heads and look, the moral of this brilliant video is ride to stop, its a war on the road, the further you turn that right hand your chances of an off rise, however no matter how safe you ride,most car drivers have no idea bikes are there.

But in about half these accidents, the fault lies with the rider doing foolish stuff (going too fast, passing carelessly, et cetera). Even in a car I wouldn't do that stuff.
Always presume that everyone else on the road is going to break rules and try to kill you. Once you work with that assumption, you can ride safely keeping enough margin for 99% of the idiocy.
Of course riding bike will always be more dangerous than driving a car, but you have eliminated 99% of the treats with paranoia. Be paranoid and you'll be safe. It is okay to take 1% risk :-)
Make lots of noise. When you think some people haven't seen you, hold your clutch and give it nice rev or two. And yeah, be paranoid, this doesn't mean you'll lose the pleasure of riding. Every time you see something, think of all the possible ways it can fuck you up. And counter that. If you see nothing, think of all the things that could come outta nowhere and be safe.
It's the Zen of road safety. Still plenty of opportunities to speed a bit, if that's your kick. Just think more.
Wear a helmet & other protective gear, ride within your limits, be stingy with speed, brake early & often, try to maintain 360 degree awareness, ride as if they are *trying* to trick you and wreck you out. Think "what is the stupidest, most incompetent, most irresponsible thing these car drivers around me could do at this moment?" Try to read their minds. Often you can tell what they are going to do even before it's a complete thought in their own heads.
true i always think what bad possibly could happen on the next crossing some times i want to go at full speed but still i stop at the intersection one second later i see a truck crossing the road and thank the god for not going full out on that truck's side.

Some guys really try to pay attention and anticipate other motorists as much as possible. We all have our lapses but seeing stuff like this is still a bucket of ice water in the face. There are good bikers and asshole bikers. Just like there are good drivers and asshole drivers. I suggest that most of the 'bike sticking out of the side of a car' shots were caused by drivers pulling out of side roads. It works both ways, don't blame bikers for all accidents.

This is a good REMINDER of what can happen.
The longer you ride without an accident the more confident you become and the higher the chances of you crashing are.
I am a rider myself. Only a 125cc mind you, but never the less, its still got an engine and 2 wheels.

Car drivers did some terrrible stupid things in this compilation, but a few times its 100% pure bikers fault:
At 3.35 - 45 it is 100% the bikeras blame, speeding and passing in no pass zone...
The recing accident ad 4.00 ist terrible (shock).

I see a lot of people blaming the car drivers.
But in about half these accidents, the fault lies with the rider doing foolish stuff (going too fast, passing carelessly, et cetera). Even in a car I wouldn't do that stuff.

Way to miss the point. Look at the following clips, and they illustrate my point about bikers hurting themselves through sheer stupidity:
3:35 (passing in a no-pass zone)
5:00 (bike hits parked car)
5:21 (going about 80mph - way too fast)
7:02 (bike going too fast off ramp)
See? The blame is not always the people in their cars. Don't put all the blame on them, when half the blame lies with the helmet heads.

Always presume that everyone else on the road is going to break rules and try to kill you. Once you work with that assumption, you can ride safely keeping enough margin for 99% of the idiocy.
Of course riding bike will always be more dangerous than driving a car, but you have eliminated 99% of the treats with paranoia. Be paranoid and you'll be safe. It is okay to take 1% risk :-)

Make lots of noise. When you think some people haven't seen you, hold your clutch and give it nice rev or two. And yeah, be paranoid, this doesn't mean you'll lose the pleasure of riding. Every time you see something, think of all the possible ways it can fuck you up. And counter that. If you see nothing, think of all the things that could come outta nowhere and be safe.
It's the Zen of road safety. Still plenty of opportunities to speed a bit, if that's your kick. Just think more.

Wear a helmet & other protective gear, ride within your limits, be stingy with speed, brake early & often, try to maintain 360 degree awareness, ride as if they are *trying* to trick you and wreck you out. Think "what is the stupidest, most incompetent, most irresponsible thing these car drivers around me could do at this moment?" Try to read their minds. Often you can tell what they are going to do even before it's a complete thought in their own heads.

true i always think what bad possibly could happen on the next crossing some times i want to go at full speed but still i stop at the intersection one second later i see a truck crossing the road and thank the god for not going full out on that truck's side.

Some guys really try to pay attention and anticipate other motorists as much as possible. We all have our lapses but seeing stuff like this is still a bucket of ice water in the face. I love riding and seek these reminders to keep from being careless and making my wife a widow (or a permanant nursemaid). If she saw this she would make me sell my bike =/

There are good bikers and asshole bikers. Just like there are good drivers and asshole drivers. I suggest that most of the 'bike sticking out of the side of a car' shots were caused by drivers pulling out of side roads. It works both ways, don't blame bikers for all accidents.

E' un video che fa riflettere molto, e purtroppo fa capire che il motociclismo, seppur sia magnifico, è una passione davvero pericolosa.
Ma alcune persone alla passione non possono dire di no, proprio per questo anche i motociclisti devono dare il proprio contributo alla sicurezza, poichè è inutile andare a 140km/h in città e se poi capita un'incidente di cui non si ha la colpa, lamentarsi.
Bisogna avere mille occhi.
