Impressing. I am saying this time after time, and still felling like its not enough. ONLY Federer could waste that 2nd set. You imagine Nadal with a 5/2 leading and still losing to 7/5. Tottally out of issue. But this happens so often with Roger that you start to suspect its a soul thing. You can see how lazy he is in that match, hitting forehand and leaving a marvellous hole in his forehand side, and ofcourse, getting the ball delaiyed because of that and losing the point. Its a shame,but true.

This is my favorite match up. Federer and Djokovic. I could watch them play all day. Credit to Djokovic winning in straight sets, but it still seemed like a really close match. Insane quality of tennis. Awesome match up!

Federer is struggling against the top guys because he is unable hit with explosiveness on the defensive side like the past. On offense he is still okay when there are free forehands to hit. This is the thing u lost when u age. The elasticity and rotation isn't there anymore. You see Djokovic in 2012 isn't as good as this highlights in Aussie open. This is his top condition and peak.

This match was ok but I think US Open 2011 was better. At least on federer's part. In US Open he serves much better and plays more aggressive. This match he kind of gets the feel for what he needs to do to beat djokovic this season.

This certainly is one of the best matches of 2011! You can see the Novak monster borning and growing in this match! Elastic and relentless defense, heavy groundstrokes, spead, gritty, mental toughness! I never saw Roger defeated in 3 straights with him playing in such a high standard the whole match! Roger created the Djokovic monster!!!

This match was the best one between them in 2011. So many excelent shots from bith sides. Just incredible tenis for 3 hours. Novak won 3/0 and totaly take 8 points more than Roger.

For big match its necessaey two great players.

@harleywarren Part of it is that Novak's parents declared "The King is Dead" after Novak won the 08 aussie open while Roger had mono apparently. They also used to be quite loud when the two played and there's a video on here somewhere where Roger actually tells them to "shut up" during a match.

@Globox822 Really? And Djokovic doesn't throw that injury card around? How many times has he retired from matches? More times than any other top 10 player. I could be wrong, but I think the only time Federer retired from a match was against James Blake in 2008 Paris Indoors, due to a back problem. He's never retired from anything else. Especially not in slams.
