Fahrenheit 451 (i think thats the number) too. The government isn't the one who's supposed to take examples from those books and this song, and be expected to change. Society needs to realize them itself, make it's own effort, or they'll be twisted and used counter-productively. I'm not religious, but you could say I pray for that....

It makes a point of the world ignoring the problems it still has. World peace is a part of that. "It's a beautiful world, For you....it's not for me." Talking, generally, to the people who think the world is in a decent condition, which, or course, is a naive and possibly ignorant thought. Thats the message it make to me, anyway.

Mark Mothersbough and Gerald Casale have said that this video best represents what Devo's message is all about.
