By Japanese record, 350 Korean riots killed by Japanese police, but it is 7,500 by Korean history textbook.
Don't forget those riots killed because they have started attack to police stations, local govenments, schools and etc. first. There were battles between those riots and police because they fought with weapons.

In the other hand, 33 leaders who read independent declaration on March 1st were arrested but not killed.
Later most of those 33 men admitted that they were wrong, became pro-Japanese later and supported Japanese rule over Korea, and cooperated Japanese military during WWII.

Japan recommended Korea to modernize in 1870s and offered assistance, in order to protect Asia together from European invasion. But Koreans refused it, because they contempted Japanese. They have counted on China only, and Japan had fight against China in 1894. Next, Korea relied on Russia, and Japan had to fight against Russia in 1904. Thousands Japanase had die becase Korea did not stand up by themselves.
Japan has waited for 40 years, and only way was to annex it.

At "Internaitonal Symposium of East Asian Peace and Human rights" in Feb. 23, 2002, Ms. Kim GuiOk, a professor of Kyungnam Univ. told that ROK Army also built Comfort Stations and allowed Korean soldiers to have sex with Comfort Women there.
By "Off-line History of War" edited in 1956 by Headquarters of Korea Army, there were 89 Comfort women in 4 Comfort Stations in South Korea, and 204,560 times of usage.

Unit 731 became famous by novel "Akumano Houshoku" written by Morimura Seiichi, on the newspaper "Akahata"(Red Flag) in 1981 issued by Japan Communist Party. Then, Chinese movie "Black Sun 731" was made at HongKong in 1987.
Later Morimura admitted that this novel was based on materials provided from communist party and he did not checked the credibilities of them. There was no evidence on his novel at all.

Japanese war criminals were judged according to the Charter of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East (CIMTFE).
Nobody of them became guilty by Crimes against Humanity by that Charter, becaue Japan did not intend holocaust like as Nazis.
