47327 is the number of the locomotive who was painted to look like Thomas. Its is a "Jinty" Class Steam Locomotive built in 1926 by the North British Locomotive Works for the London, Midland, and Scotland Railway (LMS) as 7327. After nationalism in Britain, British Railways was formed and 7327 became 47327. LMS locomotives were re-numbered simply by having a 4 added in front of their original numbers. Its is normaly located at the Midland Railway Butterly in Derbyshire.
Sure thing - 47327 is the real number of the engine thats portraying Thomas there. Its normally based at the railway in Derbyshire where I volunteer at.
Hi and thanks for the comment. Not being a train mad enthusiast myself, although still enjoying them greatly, I'm not sure what a 47327 is! Can you illuminate?
@prodriguez69 47327 is the engine that was Thomas in this video i think. I am a train entusiast but i'm not up to scratch on my British train numbers so i could be wrong.
The number is like the registration plate of a car only its on a train instead and the numbers aren't usually as long as car's numbers
Thomas in this video is a Jinty and usually Jinty's numbers are in the 47,000's so i asume that 47327 is thomas.
who's that 3:06?
