I too, watched more than I thought I would. This is really great. Wish I coulda seen one of these shows. re: the equipment, at the end of the day, it comes down to the individual's skill & knowledge of the instrument/music, and a good musician will still sound killer on cheap/shoddy equipment, while some pretentious emo kid strumming powerchords will always sound like mediocre shite, no matter how much overdrive/expensive gear they attempt to use.Everything you need is mostly all in the head.
I wasn't that impressed by the Casino videos, but as said, with skills like that, get your ass to hell Brian, you've got a golden fiddle to take from the devil! You squeezed some damn good tone from the amp too considering it was a cheap solid-state Behringer modeler. =D
Still surprised I watched all of it(Even if spread over three days of boredom), but I do have to say it was entertaining, and cleared up a lot of discrepancies about bands on tour for me.
Hell, I can't believe I watched the whole fu**ing thing. And I don't even speak Strine. That Freddy sounds just like Freddy M. He is really quite good. And you--to be honest, once I saw the vid where you got the Casino I was fairly unimpressed with your chops. After seeing this--crikey! Sideshow Bob would be jealous.
What shit! We gave you Sideshow Bob and we got Crocodile Dundee--is that an even trade? What a shame that American pop culture inundates down under. Maverick? Goose? Ick.
Truth be told the Casino video was never going to be any good, I need to own a guitar for a while before I can get a handle on it. I play by feel and I don't learn songs or read tab - I didn't rehearse for this tour, I just like Queen songs.
Tom (Freddie) is fantastic, I think he's even better when he's just mucking about sometimes. A great singer, whether he's doing Freddie or ELO or whatever
Freddie does Jeff Lynne too? An album I love-"A New World Record". You're approaching summer, here it's quite the opposite. Getting cold and it sucks. That you didn't have to learn all the Queen stuff is quite cool. You got the chops my man, no question. I love Queen. Way back we thought we were blessed to live in a time of such amazing music. We also thought Freddie M. was nailing chicks left and right. What did we know. Long live Freddie. I'm going to get down there some day.
8:41 - I've actually been thinking about getting a jacket like that.
(I don't know why, but I've got this thing with jackets. Already got a Norwegian Seacaptains uniform, a red postal-jacket and an old army dress-jacket in my closet). XD
This video is strangely addictive. I laugh watching you do your little funny things you do, then bam, a Queen song comes up. I've already watched a half hour when I only meant to watch 5 minutes! LOL. Will watch the rest later.
Hour long films don't look to bad on here. Reckon the Horror will still look good.
Hah! Nice 'Hero' fakeout @ 1:15:12-1:15:21! :-)

It was somewhat unplanned! Had a laugh about it afterwards.

@Zebonka Ahh, I kinda figured it had to be partly improvised. Good one though!
It just shows how big you guys are into Queen - as well as testament to your musical abilities I'm sure! :-)
And surprises like these are always awesome!

I'd agree with that, pretty much. I learned how to play on a broken guitar with a lousy amp. Wasn't until years later that I got nice gear.
Cheers!

Yeah, never been happy with the Casino stuff. I'm much cozier with that guitar now but at the time it was alien to me.
Thanks for sitting through it - I would not have been offended if you only got halfway!
PS. Yeah, That Great Behringer Sound ... !

They're really quite good and get into their roles well, especially 'Freddy'.
