KODAK ZI8: extreme lowlight comparison kodak zi8 versus flip ultra hd 1 of 2

You need 3 ccd camera to get good low light video. What are you guys expecting from this palm cameras ? ... Also, I didn't believe in Ultra HD 2 stories about low quality, errors, faults etc. till I got Ultra HD and I had problems right away (camera shutting down after few seconds of recording, even when I tried with different batteries + reset + everything else I could think of). Every other UltraHD camera has got problems. Stay away !

i don't like flip it's bulky fat and ugly.. + it does not do macro, does not do 1080P, does not do 720 at 60FPS.. Zi8 does it all

@MyHiDef zi8 does all that.... but still makes poor video. 2 days comparing the two in hand, Zi8 is going back. The Ultra HD takes superior video, end of story. I couldn't care less what the device looks like lol. Build quality? Kodak feels cheap and fragile.

difficult to say: in good light the Kodak is slightly better and sharper. sometimes a bit too sharp. In low light the Flip is miles better.

Are both tests at 720p 30fps?

yes both in same quality
