  • This is dumb, if the Argentinan's really were bothered about colonialism they would ask for the falkalnds to be independent, not part of their country

  • 5,000 Soldiers you can't be serious - there are 4 fighter jets - one air defence ship and a few short range ground to air missiles - just enough to to deter another 1982 land grab

  • that middle aged woman with the heavy eyeliner and the pink waistcoast is some sort of expert??

  • mabye the area is PROTECTED so that you idiots wanting to start a war will lose more quickly.

you started the falklands war and you lost you caused it and you suffered dont be so stupid to make so many inocent people die again.

most argentinian soldiers were lied to and abused by their oficers.

  • Come'on Iran, you can do better propaganda than that.

  • a nato presence?

the reason all the armies and ships is due to argentinas war in 1982!

  • Everyone report these videos, they are nothing but hae filled propoganda, disgusting.

  • China you are not getting Taiwan

Argentina you are not getting the Falkland Islands

It does not matter what transvestite leader you get to complain, or what Iranian TV you get to support your BULLSHIT claims they are British.

UN Resolution 1514 (XV) & UN Resolution 2065

Iran STFU we coming for you very soon.......

  • If the dirty Argies had not invaded back in 82 then we would have hardly ANY military presence there at all!!!!!!!

Argentina shouldnt complain about a wall they caused to be built!!

  • The Falkland Islands are British have been for 300 years long before Argentina ever existed, the whole world belongs to and is run by the UK,and thats no joke,The British Empire still exists to this day.

In modern times no aggression has ever been shown from Britain towards Argentina, unlike Argentina towards The Falkland Islander's,when Argentina were totally responsible for invading British soil and starting a totally unnecessary war,so go fuck yourself argy.

  • That report is a load of bollocks. Firstly, argentina have no claim to the Falklands whatsoever. It was a British colony before argentina existed. Secondly, the only reason for a strong military presence on the island is because the argies invaded in '82 (and achieved nothing).

I find it funny that there is nothing said about the Falklands for nearly 30 years and then because of some slim chance of there being oil reserves in the area the argies are back on it again.

    Two words, FUCK OFF

  • The problem with Argentina when they are in political or economic problems their people's attention to Falklands. If Argentina can claim the Falklands island surely they can claim Chile and Peru. This is just a complete madness. Argentina must focus on more important matter.

This political maneuvering of Argentina is comparable to NAZI Germany. They accused the UK of militarizing the Falklands, but they made the first move of blocking the ports. To me such move is an act of War. Madness!

  • @theunholysoul Sorry but you're really a stupid.. i thought only americans were, but you have an horrible media i see. Only an idiot like you can compair Argentina to nazi germany. You clearly don't know what that is. I wouldn't mind if you compaired nazi germany to argentinian dictatorship of '82. That was maby similar. But now all i can say you are really a dumbass.lol we have a democratic country, even gays can get married.. Tell me if that can happen in a nazi regime ¬¬ come on

  • @florhh14 : I think you fuckers are stupid!! Following the diversionary agenda of your government. Democracy in Argentina? What nonsense! By the way if you know a bit of history - most NAZIs are gays.

  • @theunholysoul Who cares if nazis are gays?? this is a an absurde comment, what nazis and homosexuals have to do with malvinas? you're really an ignorant doped english dumbass.. end of the subject

  • Argentina are nothing but a load of Fascist nazi lover's who couldn't care less about the rights and the freedom of the Falkland islanders themselves.

  • @87lolme

get bent!!!! If we're so bad then why did we sacrifice our empire fighting for freedom and liberty in TWO world wars. We didn't have to fight the Kaiser in 1914, we could have stayed out of it if we wanted to. We didn't have to fight Hitler in 39, he didn't want a war with Britain. We did it because it's right to protect people's freedom wherever they are. So don't try and put us down because we're called GREAT Britain for a reason.

  • @daveholt777 Read your history before you talk. UK enter WWI because of his alliances with Russia and Polland and her participation was poor compare to the rest of european countries. On WWII you fought for survival, not for others freedom. You didn't commited to the fight when you should and when your allies fell you attacked them cowardly at Mers-el Kebir where 1,290 french sailors were killed while indefense at port.Thats why there is nothing "GREAT" about yourselves.

  • @rgorlag1

How the fuck was our participation poor in WW1?!!!!!!!!!!!

We fought in WW2 cos Hitler invaded Poland and we WERE commited to the fight. As for Mers-El Kebir, Churchill was afraid of the ships falling into German hands. At least the French at Mers El Kebir were capable of shooting back which the Falklanders weren't when the cowardly Argie army invaded and began to bully them in 1982

  • @rgorlag1 - yeah...because Argentina's contribution to the war was...oh yeah you sheltered a load of Nazis after it ended

  • @rgorlag1 You need to read your history you idiot, Mers-el Kebir was due to the French failing to defend themselves. Churchill could not risk the Nazis getting your fleet, he was RIGHT

  • @rgorlag1 How was the UK's "participation was poor compare to the rest of european countries" Who did more in Europe??? NO ONE You folded we did not.

  • do these people have any facts that are true? or do they just like talking shite

  • Yes Mr Chinese ambassador Tibet is under military rule, the difference between our military rule and your military rule is we protect the rights to self determination while you oppose it. you support Argentina`s claim because they support China claim on Tibet two countries with the same selfish interest and cares nothing for the people in either country. birds of a feather stick together.

  • Malvinas does not exist, Falklands and always will be!!

  • Occupation? I love how Argentina likes to speak for the citizens of the islands. They want the islands but have no care for the indiginous population on their.

  • @87lolme How can Argentina claim land that belongs to native South Americans?

When will all you Spaniards go home to Spain?

  • @theredraven You have sooooo hit the nail on the head!! The Argentinian Spaniard exterminated the native and (if any exist) probable true "owners" of the Falklands with the same gusto as Argentina's Nazi guest exterminated Jews, gypsies and homosexuals. Funny how Press TV of Iran (that would like to exterminate the same groups with the same vigor) brings this to the fore.

Does the logic of this point of view equate that Bosnia is really a part of Serbia and all the non-Serbians should go home?

  • @mulletclub The spanish didn't exterminate the natives on the islands because:

    a) There were no natives

    b) Britain had a colony on the island a full century before the spanish ever did (1690)

  • @theredraven hahahaha. ya.. it's funny because the U.K found the islands and nobody lived on them

  • @87lolme "How can Britain claim to own islands that are on the doorstep of Argentina?"

How can the US own California when it is right next to Mexico? It beggars belief and defies logic.

  • @crapatev UK owned the islands before Argentina existed.

Mexico like the rest of the Americas invaded by Europeans Spanish America calling English America colonialists pot calling kettle black.

  • argentina wasnt even a country when we got the falklands. why should we give them up when they have no reason to claim and let it turn into a third world shithole like every other place the spanish colonised? the people on the falklands are nearly all british and thats how they want to stay, what would happen to these people who have lived there for generations if argentina took the islands??

  • @87lolme 300 miles (480 km) is hardly being on Argentina's doorstep is it. The Falkland Islanders choose to be British because Argentina are bullies (like stopping ships with the Falkland Islands flag entering their ports and of course the 1982 invasion). Thankfully we can keep them safe so they can live their lives in freedom.

  • PressTV? lol... what a bastion of fair and balanced reporting...

No wonder, they lost their licence in the UK.. lol

  • @easy1355 Is PressTV some sort of Iranian backed anti-Brit propaganda company? This article doesn't mention why so many troops are needed on the island, anyone would think we were the invaders in 1982.

  • @chrisjgrey It's ran by the Iranian government. What else would you expect from that lot?

  • Military occupation? How about 1982 the Argentine illegal invasion of the Falklands, Its People living in tyranny and occupation. Yes, The Falklands are prepared to defend themselfs from Facist Latin America. The Falklands People have their own Militia, The UK has Marines, etc based on the Islands to defend the Falklands Freedom & democracy. Argentina has no claim over the Islands, That is a well known fact.

ARGENTINA & SOUTH AMERICA = FACISTS. NATO KEEP WATCH!

  • ENGLISH: He who laughs last laughs best

  • China garrisons troops in Tibet Argentina supports them. we will give up the the Falkland when China leaves Tibet, Argentina China the UN members that don`t support the Charter on Self determination surprise! surprise!

  • bull shit, there is around 1500 - 2000 british troops there on an island with a population of around 10,000 people.

  • How can it be under military occupation, when only british people live there. These argies really need to grow up and stop moaning over and over, they are not yours now live with it.

  • yes they where under military occupation in 1982, before this less than 100 British soldiers where on the islands.

Naturally after the invasion were not going to leave the back door open again.

  • We do not care,we use the islands as military training ground.

They do not like it, F**k them.

  • Up periscope.

  • rambling nonsence

  • The Falkland Island's belong to me.

    GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.

  • Perros de Argentina

  • Fuck the Argies, they are BRITISH islands, invade again, get your arse kicked again.

  • We did not sign your treaty therefore not bound by it,there were no British troops until Argentine aggression and brutality was launched against 3000 sheep farmers by 12000 Argentine troops.

  • The islands are not under military occupation. There are only about 600 British troops on the islands, and they are there at the request of the Islanders. If the islanders ever asked the troops to leave, they would have to leave. That's not an occupation!

The islanders were only under military occupation once - in 1982 - when they were invaded by Argentina!

Argentina complains about the British military presence, but the troops are only there to protect the Islanders from Argentine aggression!

  • @Medeasbiggestfan 'Only' 600 British troops which makes up 1/4 of the islands' population. I guess they request British troops like they request English governors even though they supposedly have a 'self goverment' (?)

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

  • @111jasy111

The 600 troops are not considered part of the population and they're there at the request of the islanders' government.

The Governor has little constitutional power any more, his role is similar to that of the Queen in the UK. The real power is with the Executive Council, which is made up of islanders.

Until the 1950s, every Governor General of Canada was born in the UK. Are you saying Canada didn't have self-government until the 1950s?

  • @Medeasbiggestfan If he has little constitutional power he shouldn't bear the name governor since it's technically incorrect and does not apply to modern democracy, hence the UN Decolonization Committee is taking care of the 'special and particular case of colonialism' there.

  • @111jasy111

The title of a job doesn't determine its constitutional power or democratic credentials. The Queen in the UK is officially referred to as 'the Sovereign', but she has little power these days. The same is true of her Governors and Governors-General.

The islands are on the UN list because they're not yet fully independent, but this will change. My guess is that in 10-20 years (once the oil starts to flow) the islanders will request full independence, like most former British colonies.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan Keep dreaming. The islands are the only case on the UN list that is under UN-recognized sovereignity dispute, together with Gibraltar (another case of British swindle). A long dispute that exists even before the UN was born. Independence will never be conceded as easily as former British colonies. You should take in consideration that those former British colonies were inhabitated by oppressed Africans or Asians, which is certainly not the case here. What about Chagos people?

  • @111jasy111

The Head of State (and their representatives) in every parliamentary democracy holds little executive power. The islands are no different.

The people of Australia, New Zealand and Canada weren't oppressed, yet they gained independence.

If the islanders asked for independence, how would Argentina or the UN prevent it?

The UK gave up the biggest Empire in history, so it doesn't have an 'expansionist agenda'. The only country in the dispute that wants to expand its dominion is Argentina

  • @Medeasbiggestfan The UK has an expansionist agenda going on. Last year the UK tried to expand the waters on Ascension island to 350 nautical miles from its shores which was rejected by the UN. That is just one example. In case the islanders want independence, the UN will probably transfer this long time sovereignity dispute to them but I guess the UN won't prevent independence if the UK complies with several UN resolutions that urge to proceed with negotiations without delay. What about Chagos?

  • @111jasy111

What happened to the Chagossians was a crime against humanity. But I should point out that when the Chagossians were bring removed from their birth place, the UK was negotiating with Argentina to do something similar to the islanders.

Since then, there have been many changes in the UK's constitutional relationship with its overseas territories, meaning the UK must accept independence if a majority in a territory vote for it.

  • @111jasy111

If the UN accepted the islanders' independence, the resolutions wouldn't be relevant any more as the islanders would no longer be dependent on the UK to speak for them internationally. Argentina would have to negotiate directly with the islanders.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan "The way to put an end to the special and particular colonial situation is the peaceful and negotiated settlement of the dispute over sovereignty" UN Decolonization Committee Resolution June 2004

  • @Medeasbiggestfan Since when bearing the name 'governor' is not related to constitutional power or democracy? Only when an archaic theistic monarchy is trying to fulfill its expansionist agenda in the 21st century.

  • Why does PressTV not call itself its real name

    `Iran Government TV`.

  • Return Argentina to the indigenous peoples, all people of Spanish descent and should leave the country, the tribal lands illegally called Argentina are effectively under occupation from illegal immigrants and those illegal immigarants are now also claiming the Falkland Islands.

  • @scoocheeful. How can they be `indigenous` if they speak Spanish ? Spanish speakers invaded South America. The indigenous people speak native languages and not Spanish. Spanish is the language of the imperialist invaders.

  • @meotaku2 Yep.. the and I put in there made it look like I meant spanish descent when I meant people who were there pre the Spanish invasion.

It's ironic that most of the people in Argentina are invaders, whereas Falkland islanders settled an island that was uninhabited when they arrived. If it were indigenous S American people who had lived on the island previously the claim would be worth consideration, but as it is it's just more land grabbing by descendents of imperialist.

  • they cant be under occupation if the majority of civilians want the troops there and want to remain part of the UK.

  • That hasn't been the case for decades.
