Why not the Drift hd170, no problems with wedging a camera inside the helmet , and not to mention the external mic is a "boss" , i have a drift and would never use anything else.
@BassBOIZ Own one. It's good, and it's new and it does 1080. But it's still not quite as good as the camera I use for picture quality (reviews say this as well). Although it's a good backup to have on me.

@limza3 The problem with using a smart phone is that they are touch screen and my nose would be against the camera which might be causing it to change focus area or something. Plus they are a little bit too thin and might not fit tightly.
I think Kawasaki should give you a new bike. Their channel have only 5.810 subs, 221.682 channel views and 8.804.xxx in total upload views. In your vids we get to see a ninja in a everyday life. The ninja with the two cylinder engine is the the best selling mid-range bike over here. Some of them thanks to m13.

The Go Pro wont go inside the helmet so it can hear him speak. Also the wide angle lens has a good bit of distortion (fisheye). I have a few GoPro vids up of my various motorcycles, if you wanna see what I mean.

@13mordeth for some cameras you can install custom firmware to increase the record time to however big your memory card is, among other neat things. It's not too difficult but it's not super easy either though.

Regarding your comment about having 'better quality picture and sound in the future'. I think the picture quality is perfectly fine, infact i'd call it pretty good the only down side, but it's not anything i'd complain about is the sound quality isn't the best but its definately not the worst.
@warhawklive I feel for your buddy. I got wiped out on July 1st after only having my brand new bike for a month when a woman opened her car door on me. Wasn't going very fast, about 15-20 mile an hour but i ended up in hospital for 4 days.
I'd only gone out to get a bottle of diet coke.
Been off work since due to injury. Nothing got broken though, just really bad muscle and nerve damage and most of my shin which hit the door has been numb ever since.
@FMMProductions i was going about 35-40 mph, some kid ran in front of me and i swerved and i clipped a parked car, my back and right ram got it the worst, (no i was not wearing gear except a helment , i know im a dumbass)... my r6 is in bad shape.. im pretty bumbed about it .

I refused to ride on motorways and 'A' roads for a few months after my accident and i was really nervous cornering for quite a while but you'll get it back on it quicker than you think, to the point now than when i get my insurance money from the injury claim i'm planning on buying a second bike. :D

GoPro GoPro GoPro..sigh. I have GoPro....have a few of them. I don't use them because they don't go in the helmet. And no matter how much I like making videos I don't want to ride around with an ugly box sitting on top of my head. Plus with my current method I can pull my camera out of my pocket, fit it in my helmet, and start recording without even stopping my bike. Couldn't do that with a gopro either. And an external mic? A wire hanging down from the top of my head to my mouth? No thank you.

@13mordeth not going to spend my time researching but if you brought your cam 2 years ago obviously there's better. cameras are constantly improving like pc hardware.. wanting it in a helmet does narrow it down but its just a matter of spending enough time googling and you'll find one eventually lol. I'd probably look for a good quality cam to mount on helmet with support for some kinda external mic to feed in helmet on a 3.5mm jack or even wireless

I don't get what you mean by "I bought a new 2 year old model." I think your videos could be greatly improved by better video quality (and not just increased resolution). Even at 720p, your videos don't look that good.
If you've seen AccidentalBroadcast (and I know you have), you know how good his videos look. Yeah, he's a lot more knowledgeable in the area of video and photography, but he nevertheless uses a fairly inexpensive ($300) GoPro Hero2. I'd recommend that for you.

Hearing another language is odd - especially when transitioning from one you understand to another you don't. The sense that a message is being relayed is there; but what that message is, is a mystery.

@CultureShockSix My girlfriend is Vietnamese and she's fluent in both Vietnamese and Australian English, she said sometimes she thinks in Vietnamese and sometimes in English.
She also sometimes mixes her languages up and says stuff to me in Viet if she's been talking to some-one else at the time.. It's really funny :P

GoPro GoPro GoPro..sigh. I have GoPro....have a few of them. I don't use them because they don't go in the helmet. And no matter how much I like making videos I don't want to ride around with an ugly box sitting on top of my head. Plus with my current method I can pull my camera out of my pocket, fit it in my helmet, and start recording without even stopping my bike. Couldn't do that with a gopro either. And an external mic? A wire hanging down from the top of my head to my mouth? No thank you.

Also, speaking for myself, I love your longer videos and have seen people comment about you making longer videos, too. @13mordeth not going to spend my time researching but if you brought your cam 2 years ago obviously there's better. cameras are constantly improving like pc hardware.. wanting it in a helmet does narrow it down but its just a matter of spending enough time googling and you'll find one eventually lol. I'd probably look for a good quality cam to mount on helmet with support for some kinda external mic to feed in helmet on a 3.5mm jack or even wireless

I don't get what you mean by "I bought a new 2 year old model." I think your videos could be greatly improved by better video quality (and not just increased resolution). Even at 720p, your videos don't look that good.
If you've seen AccidentalBroadcast (and I know you have), you know how good his videos look. Yeah, he's a lot more knowledgeable in the area of video and photography, but he nevertheless uses a fairly inexpensive ($300) GoPro Hero2. I'd recommend that for you.

@kingskillahjr Buy small and 2nd hand. Gives you something to look forward to. I bought my bike new and have modded it so much that it's not even a choice to sell it and buy something new as I'd lose so much.
